What a joke of a company started the process of buying a car from them had to put 250 down to hold the car while i did all the financing thru vroom as well. This process started last week now this week they can't send me any paperwork because they say fedex don't deliver to my house. Well hate to tell them but we get both fedex and ups delivered. Then they send me the paperwork via email but oh now i need to get my signature notarized kind of late in the day to try to find a notary here so i told them to stop the process i would never buy from them again and won't ever say anything good about them. Buy local buy local buy local. Oh and yes they kept the 250 so guess I'm out that.
Poor communication. I accepted their offer to buy my car. Constantly changed requirements. I canceled when they requested I send signed title and a set of keys before arranging pick up. They said to avoid my taking their money and not giving the car. I reminded the published process in their offer was to pick up the car and not pay me for another 14 days. Something isn't right with this company. Every time I supplied info they changed what was needed and I always had to call them. Lots of BBB complaints. Good chance if they offer to buy your car you will still be playing email tag a month later. Luckily I was not in hurry to sell my car. I took mine off two other online sale sites because they made an offer to me based upon my car being listed for sale on one of those sites. Perhaps trolling for suckers. AVOID
ONCE YOU SIGN THE PAPERWORK, THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIVE. THE DELIVERY IS DELAYED TO MORE THAN AVERAGE WAIT TIME. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS ARE NON RESPONSIVE AND DO NOT ALLOW TRANSFER TO A MANAGER. THEY WILL TELL YOU THERE IS NO MANAGER! SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
I recently bought a 2020 Hyundai Kona EV from Vroom, completely online and over the phone culminating in the delivery of my car on July 28th. I was warned by Vroom that due to the pandemic, the DMV's processing time for plates is an average of 12-weeks. Vroom delivered my vehicle with a 30-day temporary tag, and I was told I would be notified via email once they had sent my paperwork to my DMV for registration.
13 weeks later, my new car is parked because they have not provided the new registration I paid for, and my car cannot legally be driven. I have called Vroom several times to get an update, but it is almost impossible to get through to the registration department, and my calls are frequently dropped. Vroom customer service is awful. If you are going to buy online, do not use Vroom.
I accepted the offer and problems began, they send me a FEDEX document with no instruction how to fill out, I called and there agent said they don't know and have no instruction and you need to talk to the document department... looks like that department doesn't exist because I called for 2 days and no one is picking. I'm told be the customer service agent that they will transfer and should be any wait but called 5 times, on hold for between 45min to an hour before I hang up. I wouldn't buy or sell any cars to them... STAY AWAY... I just cancel the transactions. It was going no where!
My wife found a 2019 Avalon on Vroom website. We decided to make the purchase. Big Mistake. It became a nightmare. After the paperwork was done. She received several emails stating the down payment wasn't received, when in facts they already had the payment and the finance company had approved everything. She was put on hold several times afterward, one time for 2 hours and 3 minutes. I was put on hold and then hung up on. It was supposed to be delivered in 14 days with a 48-hour notice. Never happened. We canceled the contract and the following week a guy called saying the car can be delivered the next day, just need a time. She advised him the contract was canceled. He stated he didn't know. We finally received our down payment back.
In 25 mins I was bounced around to 6 different people. No one could answer my questions. Sales said it was the credit team. Credit team said it was sales. I ended up hanging up and will not deal with them again.
Decided to return the vehicle within their 7 return policy window. We have scheduled 3 times to have the vehicle picked up. Vroom will not release my money for the vehicle until they have picked it up. We have been told on 4 different days the tow truck will come but nobody has shown up. We have lost 4 days of work and life in the process. They will not give us the information of the pickup company in order for us to confirm when they will arrive. We were told that the driver they were using is too busy to get to us but they have not communicated with them or other companies to have the vehicle picked up in a timely manner. We have been waiting 2 weeks.
Purchasing my new vehicle was easy... great customer service. Truck delivered on 10/27... by12/04 the truck was towed away to a dealer near by. What happened? The truck did some very crazy things... battery had no water in it so I assume they did not include that in their FULL inspection before delivery. And of course the 90 day warranty doesn't cover it. Now, dealer replaced battery at my cost and now all the warning lights are on again so dealer is running diagnostics on it now... how much you wanna bet I will be told this isn't covered under the dealer warranty. Absolute no help from customer service at Vroom... nasty people. NEVER BUY FROM THESE FOOLS AGAIN! I will be filing a complaint with the BBB.
We purchased a 2019 Acura MDX Hybrid in September of 2021 and we've still not received our title. We've spent over 10 hours on hold trying to get help and we cannot get anyone to get us the paperwork we need. The service is untrained and uncaring. It's another example of a company with not heart.
Buying the car was easy. Almost too easy. Getting the car delivered has been another story. One excuse after another. It will be delivered Sunday, no sorry we meant Monday. Oops Tuesday for sure. Oh we really meant Wednesday. Oh sorry, Thursday now. I'm 11 days in from buying the car with no car delivery in site. No one will provide any answers as to when my car will actually be delivered.
Vroom advertises it buys cars. What they should advertise is give us your car for free. I had a 2014 Toyota Prius two with only 34,000 miles on it. Add email Vroom for an estimate. Their offer was laughable at best. It was $5,000 lower but any offer I received from dealerships I was willing to sell the car to. My personal recommendation I would never use Vroom. The dealer I sold a car to said it wouldn't stay on his lot of day. That's how clean the car was. I just wanted to get rid of it because I had too many cars in my driveway.
Worst experience of my life. Picked up car it had crack windshield, bald tires and damage on a finder. None of this was disclosed before the purchase. And try to get a hold of Customer Service is a JOKE, don't bother leaving a message, they won't call you back. And Customer Service is a JOKE there is NO HELP there for you.
Find another way to buy a car. Run away fast
The process of buying the car was the only thing that went well - with the exception of them needing payment within 24 hours of the agreement. If you need to arrange financing - that can't happen. When i received the car - i had to immediately put air in one of the tires. It turned out that the tire had a leak and would need to be replaced. Once i washed the car - i discovered several deep scratches on the 2019 care with 10k miles. I raised this issue with Vroom and their position was that this was normal wear and tear. I also noticed that the front wheel covers had been taken off and not replaced properly. Net / Net - they agreed to pay for new tires but wouldn't do anything else about the rest of the damages. Now i'm fighting to get the title done correctly (need a paper title in my state - which is not their standard).
I might have saved a little money on the transaction - but i'll never to business with these guys again.
My husband and I paid cash to purchase a car on Wednesday February 10th, the car will arrive on Tuesday March 2nd. First they did not contact us for 5 days subsequent to cashing our check, then they said they were "backed up" and at the last minute when my car was supposed to be delivered pushed it to the next day. Terrible- do not recommend.
Paid $34k for a Toyota Tacoma on Vroom on December 17 my truck wasn't delivered until mid January. I still don't have title. I paid delivery $700, paid CA sales tax $3900 and still today 10 weeks later I can't register the vehicle nor can I drive it as the temporary registration they sent me expired in mid February. After several attempts I finally spoke with their tier II title person who said that because of Covid their staff has been cut from 35 to 15 personal and they work from home, base on her data she said the person they bought the car from sent them the title unsigned. So they sent it back to him for signing on January 28 2022 meaning they sold me a vehicle that didn't have a transferable title and they can't tell me when or even if they will provide it to me. They opened a case for me yesterday, even assured me that it would be a "priority". They said they would send me another temporary registration as well. I hope this mess gets solved soon.
Bought a 2019 f150 came with no fuel engine light on and thay said would get fixed but 2 weeks later no call back i call put on hold had truck fixed because i had no wheel for 2 weeks sucked called again put on hold 1 hr again worst place to get a vehicle stay away im still fighting repairs no a reportable car dealership
The Vroom website where vehicle information has only a 1-855 number to call. No TTY number for hard of hearing people like me. No email address.
So after Vroom contacted me for copies of my paperwork, I submitted such. I had no choice except to call that 1-855 number. I explained repeatedly to the Vroom rep that I am hard of hearing and requested that the rep SPEAK UP. The rep was either too ignorant or simply did not want to comply with my request. I had to hand the phone over to my wife to continue the call.
From my experience, I suggest that hearing disabled persons do business elsewhere until Vroom gets their act together.
I ended up selling my used 2009 car to a local dealer who paid me more than Vroom offered.
From the moment I paid my $38k, the service & operational quality of the company is the worst that I have ever experienced - and I continue to experience. I could go on & on, but I had to get a month extension on my temporary license (I received it past expiration and that was only after begging & pleading - they would have never dealt with it). I have yet to get the title to my car, even though I paid for the car in June (now mid September). Their promised follow-up by anyone, customer service reps or their supervisors is non-existent. Even a service rep admitted that they are terrible. Unbelievable.
I have a perfect condition low mileage raptor that I've been offered 70k for by carmax and others and I contacted brook who offered me 50k! Then they kept contacting me like that is a good price even though I've told them about the other offers and to leave it alone
Answer: I got a good offer and my car is 2 years old and in better than average shape. In fact they offered 1400. 00 more than the local dealer, more than Carmax or Carvanna. Then I read reviews, the BBB and received the contract. In there point #7, they said they have the right to adjust the price and do not pay out until they inspect the car. Called and canceled the contract before it got any further. In this day and age I decided if I'm going to sell something I need to look at the person face to face. VROOM holds too many unknowns.
Answer: Don't trust them! Can't handle simple matters as honoring a deposit.
Answer: Awful. I have been waiting for a month and still don't have our deal done yet due to their disorganization and expiring their offer on my trade in, so now I have to start all over again with that process - which, by the way, was part of the reason I chose to buy from them!
Answer: Yes, wait and wait and wait and wait. Be smart, walk away from these people
Answer: Then go ahead and sell it! They do not force you to buy a car!
Answer: They are a bait and switch company! Truly what's on the internet is not always true! If it seems to good to be true? Probably to good to be true!
Answer: I wouldn't do it. Everything in my experience with them has been painful and fishy! I still don't have my deal done yet after a month!
Vroom's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to prolonged service delays and inadequate communication once transactions are completed. Customers frequently report issues with document processing, payment delays, and difficulties in obtaining vehicle registration and titles. While some positive experiences highlight effective sales interactions, these are overshadowed by widespread complaints regarding unresponsive customer service and perceived dishonesty. The overall sentiment suggests that while Vroom may attract customers with competitive pricing, the post-sale support and operational efficiency require substantial improvement to enhance customer trust and satisfaction.
