I placed a $500 hold on a car on vroom, and when trying to move forward with the purchase, I just hit a brick wall. Called customer service for hours to try and get an update. No one knew left from right. No one knew the status of the vehicle or the next steps.
I spent another hour trying unsuccessfully to cancel. Eventually i just went to amex and disputed the charge. I regret every minute I spent interacting with vroom. Just stunning levels of incompetence.

Got an offer on my trade in email, of course the email link they sent didn't work to start the process. Set up account with them was not able to apply my trade to the sale. Called the number and they said they would transfer to Sales on hold 5:29 and finally hung up. Nobody has contacted me in 4 days. Use Carvanna they web site is much easier to use.
It has been Almost 2 weeks and still waiting for delivery date - i tried calling customer service couple of times all they say is the vehicle is in transit and they are keep delaying the delivery date.
Worst customer service ever they'll tell you straight up that they can not escalate any matter to management team. They will put you on hold for 30 min and tell you that there is no new updates.
The whole process takes wayyy too long and there is no type of communication. If i could go back I would've canceled the deal.

Vroom approved me for 5.04 percent loan with my 758 credit score, then called me asking for more info and then said it would be 16 percent for the loan. I wasted 8 days with them. I cancelled and got my 500.00 deposit back. I then got a better vehicle with less miles thru Carvana in 4 days for 4.59 percent loan.
They claim to be "headache free", but I've had to call dozens of times to get payment issued to myself and my lienholder. A huge hassle. They offer a higher price than dealerships, but good luck getting through to someone who can help you in customer service. Honestly not worth the extra $ to go through this experience and feel like you're being scammed.
Vroom is the worst place to ever buy a car from they will give you a Aneurism. Customer service poor as in they have no idea of what the hell they are doing. There is no communication between the agents. It took them 90 days to pay off my trade in turn messing up my credit, 4 months to extend my temp tag because they didn't submit the docs for my titling. What's worst is they took another month to to send the title and when they did the color of the vehicle was incorrect. I'd rather climb to the Empire State Building a jump off before I do business with them again
Absolute waste of time trying to sell with Vroom. Offered over 10k less than median kbb. What a joke. Not a great way to bring in customers. Carvana was much closer at least not an insultingly lowball offer. I would not recommend to anyone unless they are a masochist.

Unless you have nothing to do for next 6 months, then never buy from Vroom. I will say the car, when it finally arrived was nice but everything else was a nightmare. It took almost 2 months to get the car I ordered and now I have been waiting 3 months to get the title or temp tags. The tags it came with have expired. So I have a 20 thousand dollar car sitting in my driveway because I don't have temp tags and no title to get my own tags. I can't think of a worse experience in my life.
Called them and applied to purchase a vehicle, they ran my credit and I was approved (and of course this was a credit pull for the approval) they said they would call back in 30 min. But they didn't, so then I called them, and they told me that I was approved for the car... said to call back in 10 min to get everything set up! So I did, and within that 10 min they sold the car I wanted! So I got a credit pull for nothing, DO NOT go to this company... terrible company and warn users to be very careful... do not gamble with them. Go and see the care and talk to a real person. Trust me on this, horrible.
We bought a car that was completely damaged when it arrived we went to get a quote to get it fixed and they tell us they are not fixing it because it's too much completely in ethical. How are you going to tell a customer that just spent a lot of money on a car that your not going to fix it after you damaged it. So we returned it but currently still use the damaged car and they tell us after we had purchased another car that they were not transferring loans untill they pick up the other car which was not for me and my son and now he is without a car. Highly suspicious business ethnics. I have tried to purchase a few vehicles from Vroom over the past few months. The vehicles were mostly unavailable, which comes across as a "Bait & Switch". They also offered me $10k under for my trade in value. This is not a sustainable way to do business.
We are still waiting for the document the California DMV requested Vroom provide to finalize the title transfer and registration. I rarely complain, but... despite one person who was very nice at vroom, the rest of experience has been a lesson in months of frustration. We will go to the DMV this week and plead our case about Vrooms unresponsiveness and maybe the DMV will have mercy on us. BTW, we have paid all taxes and fees and the car cannot be legally driven now.

We have the title, but because Vroom is in Texas and the car came from NM, and the title arrived almost three months late, our California DMV requires evidence that no title was issued, before we can get our car registered. We now have a ten day window to complete registration. After that our $25k car will be operating illegally in our state. We have already paid all the taxes and fees required. We are hanging on with hopes that this will get resolved by Vroom in the next few days.

I emailed and called Vroom several times over the past couple of weeks to get either my hard tags or new temp tags without success. I also don't have any financing. There bank JP Morgan Chase hasn't received anything from Vroom about my financing terms. I have no other choice but to take legal action against Vroom.

We purchased our vehicle in August of 2021 and have yet to receive our tags in 2022. We have submitted 3 VIN inspections and they have either lost them or denied them all with little or no communication to us. We then continue to call and wait for hours to speak with someone to only be disconnected or told they will send another temp tag within 24 hours and nothing is ever emailed or mailed. We then start the process all over again. I now am the proud owner of a $90K vehicle that I can not drive because I have no plates. This is going on almost 6 months now. We are at a loss of how to resolve this and have absolutely no help from VROOM, no title in hand, no way to tag at our local DMV.

They take a $249 deposit to buy a truck, and then ghost you. No contracts, no work on their part. If you try to call them, you will be on hold for over 30 minutes before they hang up on you. Then, if you cancel a week later, they will keep your deposit! For doing absolutely nothing for you, they will keep $250! And notice it is almost impossible to find reviews of the company online?! This place is a total scam.
