The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its customer service and support mechanisms. Many users report a lack of effective communication and responsiveness, with automated replies dominating interactions. Concerns about fraudulent activities and inadequate buyer protection are prevalent, leading to financial losses for both buyers and sellers. While some customers appreciate the platform's user interface and initial successful transactions, these positives are overshadowed by the overwhelming sentiment of frustration and distrust, indicating a pressing need for improvements in customer service and policy enforcement.

Posted an item out and buyer stated delivered damaged even though it was double wrapped in plastic. Refused to return my item and said binned it. I lost my item and the postage I paid. Good site for scammers
If an item doesnt match the description, they will not help get your money back. Happened to me twice even though I had good pictures of the damage of the clothes.
New to Vinted and tried selling one used child's toy, got told they'd close my account as I was trying to sell commercially! There was no one to talk to about this so it couldn't be resolved so I closed my account for them! Also closed my trustpilot account as they wouldn't accept my review as Vinted told them it wasn't a real review and I wasn't a real person!
A good place to buy clothes, and you can get some great deals. But as soon as you have a problem the customer service is non-existent.
Had a dodgy phone call from something pretending to be Vinted, so informed them, and they blocked the account. Only thing is, I can't get back into it, despite providing all the evidence they required and more.
And you can't complain to anyone about them. So now taking them to the ICO for storing my personal data without my permission.
Purchased an item fortunately under £10 but it did not arrive. Asked seller to send picture or proof of delivery which was ignored. Vinted sent numerous forms which we completed & sent back but these also were ultimately ignored. Customer service non existent. Won't ever use again.
Terrible customer service, no refund given despite 2 parcels not being recieved. Evri asked Vinted to get in touch with them regarding this and they would not help. I wouldn't have even minded had vinted offered me the money back to my vinted account instead of a refund but this was not an option either.
I use this site alot but have noticed an increase is dishonest posts for sale. Its a great site to sell on, but as a buyer there is no protection at all. Buyers pay a protection fee, postage fees set by the seller and return fees, even if the items are falsely advertised, damaged, unfit for purpose or not even similar to the photos listed. If you want to return, it's at the sellers discretion and they then get to say if they're happy with the return or not! Customer service is non existent...unless you are a seller.
It's a great site when sellers are genuine, but unfortunately not all are and its the buyer taking all the risk.
Vinted are always on the side of the buyer! They pretend to investigate but simply refund the buyers!
Unfortunately my item was sent back to seller, when I opened dispute about this, my money was released to seller as stated delivered (it was in fact delivered back to the seller, & shown this on tracking too) but customer service too lazy to do job properly & look at tracking properly (Savana) so ive no items & the seller got to keep my money. Unfortunately your not protected well when buying through Vinted. Its not safe, avoid
They sent me a label that didn't work, the scanner said the code doesn't exist so I contacted customer services and they just sent replies unrelated to my question. I was asked to provide details which I did only to receive a computer generated reply completely ignoring the details I sent. It was just going round in circles… very frustrating. I then received a warning that if I didn't send the item they would cancel the order and I would receive a negative review. Absolutely shocking!
Een pakket werd niet geleverd door dhl. Zou vintend dat met dhl moeten regeln maar niks gedaan. Pfff
Dont ever sell or buy something through them! Only trouble! They just want to suck the money out of you and than drop you.
Absolutely unbelievable, I sold something and the courier who you are forced to use (evri) broke the item, leaving a clear footprint on the packaging. Vinted have refunded the buyer but not me as a seller. This is not the first time items have gone missing, been broken or had long delays. I'm closing my account because the "support team" are not helpful and refusing a refund, leaving me out of pocket. I won't return to buy or sell in the future
This app is the worst. I made barelly any sales but all were 5 stars and out of the blue one day they told me my account was banned for counterfit items. None of my items posted on Vinted were counterfit. I hope no one uses this trash app.
Support is trying to con sellers by giving buyers better deals. I had a "buyer" bundle 5 items, and the total according to vinted was $42.75. The REAL total was $85. I do not have bundle discounts enabled. Vinted couldn't explain why the bundle was miscalculated, and blamed me, the seller. Their support is not in America, let alone nonexistent. Will stick to Poshmark and Mercari. Went back in my listings and noticed they've got me again like this. Definitely never using this app again.
Never got paid by the buyer as I had to send via a different shipping as no shipping anywhere near me, Vinted have been absolutely no help what so ever and will not contact the buyer to retrieve my money owed,
I suggest you do not use this useless company who have no intention of helping you
I bought something from vinted which never arrived, I went back and checked and Vinted were aware and told me that the parcel was lost and I had 2 days to hit a button to say it was lost. I was actually on holiday at the time and I don't check my emails everyday, especially when I am away.
When I realised the money was taken and the parcel was still lost, I contacted vinted for them to help me find the parcel or issue me a refund. They would not do either of these things and said sorry for your experience, Thankyou for understand. Even though we pay a buyers protection fee, this is how we get treated!
Their customer service is appalling and i have been robbed by them.
I WILL NOT BE USING THESE AGAIN!
I've had a couple of problems now, one I ordered a parcel, the courier took it to the wrong place, been a month and still not got it or a refund! Also been sent an obvious counterfeit item and they want me to pay postage to return it?! What the hell is this buyers protection for. I think after this I won't be using it anymore
Just to give a bit of context to start with - I am a trusted seller on Vinted with 250 stellar reviews. And I don't mean just these automatic "sale completed successfully" reviews. These are extensive reviews from happy buyers who don't hesitate to come back. I have my identity verified and use my real name and profile photo on Vinted. I pride myself in selling great authentic items and making my buyers happy.
Couple of days ago I uploaded a beautiful Saint Laurent bag strictly following all the rules and displaying all proof of authenticity required by Vinted. Seconds later, I was blocked for "selling counterfeit items". Obviously I did not agree with such accusation, so I submitted the invoice, e-mail confirmation and even my bank statement (!) to prove the purchase of the bag from a trusted online boutique. I was soon unblocked, only to be blocked AGAIN on the same day for an even crazier reason. They deleted 2 of my SOLD items claiming that they received copyright owner complaint claiming that the items were inauthentic. It is very curious how someone can report an item that is already sold and not even visible on the platform, so it just sounds like some sort of organized attack against my account. Sure enough, I immediately submitted proof that both of my deleted Marc Jacobs items were authentic. However, customer service refused to help. As a result, my reputation on Vinted is completely ruined, I am treated like a criminal for no legal reason, and most importantly - they are too shortsighted to revise their decision and admit that I am 100% right. I have every single piece of proof to prove authenticity of my good, yet they have ZERO proof to prove otherwise. And in the meantime actual scammers thrive on Vinted. Sad world we live in.
P.S. This case is also submitted to Vinted's legal department since this is serious accusations that constitute legal offence.
Absolute rubbish site...way too much hassle. You are required to show not a robot but not allowed to show not a robot. Cr*p
Answer: Well you can't. You need to do your homework when asking questions to a seller. Request additional pictures too. The seller never has access to your money until you "receive" and accept the items. So if you get a designer item you have questions about take it to your nearest high-end consignment. If you find the item is not real simply let CS know under the accepting. Tell them what the problem is. More likely than not you will get a return request label. Just send it back and all your money if refunded. On Poshmark all items over $500 are automatically sent to a Posh center to be authenticated before its sent to you. The best way to know your getting the real deal is buy from again a local high-end consignment or an online that specializes in only a few brands rather than any. It takes a lot of training to become an expert on authentication.
