Hi everyone,
Please avoid VG MediSpa at all costs! I have had exactly the same experience like all of you here... purchased 8 laser removal treatments through Groupon, it was £399. After the first appointment I was advised to buy extended bikini for another £250 as the bikini was really only upper legs, and after another 2 appointments I was told that 8 will not be enough and that they are running a special Christmas offer for £250 for another 6 treatments. I bought those and since Christmas 2014 until now a year later I have only had a nightmare and series of cancellations with them due to leaving stuff. I didn't get the same person ever as 4 weeks later they were gone! So my hair is still growing pretty much how it was before all the treatments ( I think I had about 8 now), every therapist is different and tells me different things. Some go over my legs in one minutes, others take longer and are more thorough.
I have now paid just under £1000 in total and have no results and can't get appointments every 4-6 weeks. Initially they book me in but then cancel last minute. Like today. I had the appointment booked 5 weeks in advance only to be emailed yesterday to say that they have to cancel due to shortage of stuff. I called them and told them I had to take a day off work to be able to get to them for 11am and that think they are in a breach of contract and should refund me. The lady on the phone laughed and said they do not refund and this things happen! Stuff leaves and there is nothing they can do!

I think we should all get together and report them to WATCH DOG!
They shouldn't be trading and should give us all our monies back and then close down.

Would you support me all? I will write to WATCH DOG now.

I don't think it's a coincidence that my review will virtually match that of the persons below, but even more worrying health wise. PLEASE DO NOT VISIT THIS SALON.

I'm going to start at the worst so you don't miss the vital points.

- the lady caught a glimpse of my port wine birthmark (a fairly rare condition which requires specialist treatment) - she asked if it's a rash and I explained that it is a birthmark. She looked at me cluelessly and despite having no idea what it was, told me that I should buy a course for pigmentation. I was quite frankly gobsmacked at how she suggested treatment for something when not knowing what it was, and continued to suggest it throughout my treatment and at my following visit. All treatment I have had in the past has been carried out at a hospital and by a fully qualified doctor- not a beautician and THIS IS NOT PIGMENTATION.

- I told the lady during my patch test that I had had back surgery the previous week and she proceeded to carry out the patch test despite knowing this. I emailed after this asking to change my appointment and again mentioned my recent back surgery - no one replied to my email of answered my calls. I then turned up for my appointment and was luckily told by the receptionist that I cannot have the treatment within 6 weeks of having anaesthetic. I asked why she didnt respond to my email stating this to save me wasting my time. She acknowledged reading my email but couldnt explain why she didnt reply.

It became apparent that the staff are either thick or just want as much money as possible but either way they are clearly not bothered about risking peoples health!

I agree that the receptionist is always moody - acts as though she's doing you a favour just speaking to you.

I've been for two patch tests and both times almost forced in to buying things I don't need - told I should buy another course before I've even started it. Its honestly like walking in to a morgue/ sales room- Staff are so miserable.

Obviously based on the above, I don't even want to start my courses and have asked for a refund. Again calls and emails go unanswered and I will therefore be reporting them to the relevant body as these people are clearly only trained in sales and nothing else.

My initial consultation went great, the technician was really friendly and even advised me to avoid lasering certain areas as it would promote growth, she also told me I must be able to feel the laser sensation, if I didn't the machine should be turned to a higher setting. She then tested the laser on me and said I would suit a certain setting number to start off and the setting would be increase per treatments.The manager was there and told me I could pay in installments.

I went for my session a week later and it was a different technician, she was really rude and told me she wouldn't treat me until I paid all upfront, even though I had paid enough at that point for half the sessions! She just wanted the commission and told me the manager had no idea what he was talking about. Then she got annoyed with me when I asked what setting the laser was on because I couldn't feel it, I was told it was none of my business.

By the time I went for my following session the management had changed and so had the majority of staff. This new lady looks at you like you're dirt on her shoe and the staff take a hard sell approach, to the point where you feel incredibly uncomfortable. They always have the same 'specials' and they make out they're just on offer that day. Everytime thereafter I had a different laser technician. It's all about the money for them, I had huge patches missed by the laser and would ask them why they hadn't done those areas, only to be told they had, when I clearly didn't feel the machine touch my skin! I'm certain the machine settings were never increased. Other places I've been to have always been happy to discuss settings.

Honestly I was overjoyed my sessions were over. Yes, the cheap Groupon price looks appealing but it's not worth it, to be surrounded by these con artists. (Birmingham Branch)

I had a groupon voucher for six sessions - underarms. I followed the instructions given to me, after 5 sessions I noticed a large patch of hair in one armpit and several in the other. I went to my last session and when I showed the technician - she said I couldn't have a treatment that night because I hadn't shaved, I told het that I needed to show her the problem. She went to see the manager who said she would do me a special deal of 2 extra sessions for £65. I told her my issue was that the whole area appears to have been missed out - in the end she took me to see the manager who from the first instance was very defensive and kept implying that it was my fault for not shaving - I told her 3 times throughout the defensive face conversation that I did shave - and that when I went to shave prior to this treatment I noticed this - so I wanted to make them aware - but she was having none of it. She kept coming up with all sorts of BS - she was really school girl playground attitude - shocking. Then she dropped the price to an amazing £50 for 2 extra sessions - like she thinks I'm going to believe that 2 sessions are going to get rid of the hair that had been missed! I told her she was getting no more money from me and I could get another voucher for six sessions for £49 elsewhere! Then she tried to make out that she was going to do me a favour by honouring my 6 th session - at another time -( because I had been naughty and not shaved - despite me repeating myself for the goodness knows how many times - I wanted them to see the issue) she said that none of her ladies had missed the area it just happens sometimes, ( like she was in the room at any given appt... Def not). She is definitely a special kind of stupid!
DO NOT GO NEAR THIS PLACE. Also the parking is terrible.
