Vgmedispa I want my refund

Dear Sir madam,
I'm writing to complain about the service I have been receiving since I had first contacted with your company.
Around Oct 2016 i purchased 79 for 349 voucher from Groupon, for the aesthetic treatment at the Vgmedispa. On 22 11 16, I called your company and upgraded the original voucher to a nose enhancement with £200 paid on the phone. T, was the name on my confirmation email with my appointment details and payment receipt.
On the 20 12 16, I turned up for my treatment at your Fitzrovia branch and found that my appointment got cancelled by your staff, I did not get any notification. I was really upset but choose to make another appointment. Then, till summer, no appointment could be made due to lack of nurse who could do the treatment. I appreciated that your staff had put in so much efforts to get me an appointment. But I also tired of keeping calling back and not seeing any chances. On 30/6/17, your staff has sent me a email to confirm that the company still have my credit and it will never expired.
Now, it is 2019, I still couldn't get the treatment after 2 years. I have been very patient with the vgmedispa despite I didn't get what I was paying for. I really need my money back as it was never my fault.
I hope we will have the problem solve before I take further action.
Regards

Called their number, their staff told me she is not in charge and couldn't let me speak directly or have the contacting details of the company's department that is dealing with these kind of issues. She has promised that she would pass my massage to the refund team and get them to call me back before 5pm. I have been waiting for a week, now still got nothing.
What sort of company it is, wouldn't dare to face a complaint from a customer directly.
I'm full of anger now. I would not rest and give up until I got my refund.
I'm going to get some advice from Ombudsmen and Citizens Advice consumer service, then take it to the Small Claims Court. Anybody can advice me is there anything else I can do to help?
I will post this on all the forums if I can just to make people avoid making the same mistake and see if I can get more advice

Avoid this company!
March 12, 2019

I've purchased a discounted packages of 6 treatment for my son's fungal nail infection for £300.
I'm not entirely sure that we have been treated professionally by the clinic in Reading as as a result I requested a full refund.
After the payment was done in 23/10/2018 I was able to book an appointment for the 14/11/2018 and one for the the 19/12/2018. A few days later I received an email saying the the appointment was cancelled due the fact that the machine was in another branch. When I contacted the Reading Clinic the receptionist was quite dismissive e rude and she told me that she did not have any appointment for me and that she was going to contact me when she had some space. I then contact the Leeds number and then very professionally managed to book my son in for the 21/11/2018 and then eventually we managed to have the first treatment.
On the 17/12/2018 we receive another email saying that the 19/12/2018 was cancelled because the machine was faulty. I sent a polite email asking for information about the next available appointment and what I received on the 09/01/2019 was this:
We are waiting for an update as to when we will have the machine back, one received, we will call you to rebook.
Kind Regards
I few days later, tired of waiting I've contacted the costumer care asking that this behaviour was not acceptable and that I asked for the full refund based on the fact that fungal infection need to be tackle doing treatments withing a 4 weeks intervals otherwise the treatment wasn't going to be effective. A few minute later (only because the costumer service spoke with the Reading branch) I received an email with another date for an appointment. Appointment that I refused because I'm not very confident about their professionalism and I'm not comfortable of going back to the Reading clinic because I think that the staff is quite rude.
I finally receive an email from the customer care saying that I'm not eligible to the refund because I've started the treatment!
I've tried to contact costumer care again but nobody answer, I got an appointment today with the Citizen Advise to ask for more help. Also I did some research and there is a group on Facebook called "Vgmedispa reviews and complaints" full of similar stories! I want my money back!

You have £490 of my money VG Medispa Fitzrovia and you need to simply refund me.
February 18, 2019

I purchased 6 groupon sessions for laser hair removal alongside some inch loss therapy which the Fitzrovia manager Jana upsold to me in the salon at the time of coming in for my patch test.
I've had 3 appointments cancelled on me either last minute, or without any notification because the manager Jana did not actually end up booking me in the first place. A trip in to London wasted.
Since then, I've decided that spending £500 on VG Fitzrovia was DEFINITELY an ill decision and despite calling and emailing for 5 days straight and getting no response, I've had to go in to the salon to request my refund.
Jana tells me that she has authorised my refund- not before asking me if I would give the salon one more opportunity to redeem themselves. I explain; I've already done this despite them cancelling appointments on my erratically or not being able to book me because they've oversold their services and have nothing available for more than 8 weeks.

Here's a clue to VG MEDISPA- if you don't have the staff, don't offer the services. You're wasting everyone's time here...

It has been more than a week now since I've been in the salon and I've been told by Jana to email KAREN at customer services. So now, not only have I been trying any of these numbers to get through to LITERALLY ANY HUMAN BEING *******758 / *******471/ *******317 / ******* *******.
But now it seems even all the emails I'm being provided are housing ghosts.

You have £490 of my money VG Medispa Fitzrovia and you need to simply refund me.
If I don't receive my refund, I will be reporting this company to Trading Standards. This is beyond inept and shameless.

Upset and very unhappy
July 4, 2017

I would like to point out the treatment I had did not work. I was informed the age spots on my face would disappear on/after three treatments. I was impressed with the first treatment however the spots were still there. I went on to have the second treatment and again I believed what they said that it could take the three treatments.
I went on to have the third treatment and on my way I got a phone call to say they were running late and could I come in 30 minutes later than arranged. I was ok with this as I had freed up all day due to my appointment.
When I arrived I was told the lady Ashley that would be carrying out my treatment was not there and running late. I waited a half hr and she still had not returned. I was informed she was in college doing a course and would be back soon.
There was another young girl there and she was sent to apply the Topical anaesthetic cream to numb the skin to the area for 30 minutes making the procedure comfortable; Ashley did this procedure the first and second treatment.
I assumed she knew what she was doing however when she had finished she went on to do the cream on another lady that was waiting and I overheard the manager saying to put lots of the cream on as it had to numb the face for the treatment.
I still had to wait some time before Ashely arrived back. She went on to do my treatment and it was uncomfortable as it was slightly painful on parts of my face. I came to the conclusion that the young girl did not know what she was doing and did not put enough anaesthetic on my face.
When the treatment was finished I purchased a box of creams and lotions to help with the treatment I just had as advised by the manager at the cost £120. I was informed the age spots would disappear and as part of the package I purchased an extra Derma-Roller treatment to have at a later date at the cost of £50.
I went on to use the creams as per instructions however I see no difference in my face now as it is the same as the first day I went to your salon.
I returned to the salon and explained I was not happy and I would like the £50 I paid for the extra treatment refunded. The manager explained that she could not refund this money and I would have to contact head office. I requested the address and the name of the person I would have to contact. I was given the address however the Manager went on to say I hope you are not going to report my salon. I replied, I am not happy with the results and I just want my money back and this would be the only way I could get it as she could not refund it to me from the salon.
She then went on to offer some cream (photo of cream given enclosed); instead of the money saying it would help with my skin as it was a very good cream. I accepted this cream with the hope it would be as good as she said however I have used it and my skin is no different than the first day of attending the salon. I was also informed that Ashley no longer worked there and the young girl that helped with my treatment was not trained fully and this would explain why she did not know what she was doing. She also no longer works there.

Do not use VG Medispa!
November 28, 2016

Nsultation booked with another clinic but thought it would be a good idea to look at more than one. They didn't have any leaflets but the nurse was there and within a couple of minutes she had persuaded me to get my lips filled right away. She said it would be very natural and everything would be ok. I was so nervous but had no top lip at all and wanted to look pretty for my Christmas party. She tempted me by saying it was a black Friday deal and only £115. The issues I have are as follows:
1) I had to sit in the public waiting area with numbing cream smeared over my lips so other people knew what I was having done. On top of that, the front of the clinic has a massive window and shoppers walking past are peering in. Thankfully, nobody from work walked past and saw me... well, not that I know of.
2) I asked to see before and after photos of other patients and was told the clinic isn't allowed to do that. Surely that's a fairly standard way of researching somebodies work?
3) The nurse said she would make my top lip the same size as my bottom lip. What? Who has a top lip like that? I wanted a natural look!
4) The girls on reception were not very professional. They sat there chatting and playing music. It just made me feel uncomfortable.
5) They gave me an iPad to input my personal details and when I'd finished, I clicked 'next' to see I had access to a whole list of other clients.

Why did I go ahead? I certainly didn't engage my brain and if I could turn back time I would. When the nurse injected my lip it immediately burst and I was left with a heomotoma. 3 days later the majority of the swelling as gone down... thank god! My lips aren't totally even and there are still some bumps and bruises. In fairness, the nurse was lovely but I wouldn't go back. My lips look pretty natural/normal despite the bruising and I'm hoping that in another week, all lumps and bumps will be gone. My smile is however uneven.

I visited a Harley Medical group clinic 2 days later and she told me that Juvaderm 2, which had been used in my lips, is meant to even out fine lines around the lip area... it's too think to be used as a lip plumper. She told me it will wear off very quickly so I won't get my monies worth but in this scenario, that's a good thing. This nurse injects every day of the week and has done for 14 years in the aesthetics industry. The nurse I saw at VG Medispa however just did it as a side lounge at weekends.

Save yourself money and upset... avoid VG Medispa.

Terrible
November 23, 2016

Booked a groupon for alma, richmond branch. I was given completely wrong info about the treatment at my first tteatment.the lady was adamant i did it after two weeks, i even decide to postpone my holidays for one day to fit the next treatment after two weeks, first i received a message saying my appntmnt was at 8 am when i knew that was at 13.00 then i got another message saying my appntmnt was cancelled, tried to book another aptnmnt directly on the phone nobody ever answered, from 30th of june managed to make an appointment for the 23/11 and truly believed the effect of first treatment would have been lost, when on the 23rd i tried to explain to the lady at the desk that i wasn't happy also saying that the groupon offer was very misleading as when they were referring to areas of the body they never specified the area treated was as big as the palm of an hand, in 20 years of having various treatments an area to me is regarded as buttocks, front thigh back thight etc unless otherwise specified. Very misleading indeed! The lady at the desk was very unapproachable, patronising, defensive and completely had no idea on how to use any customer service as from the beginning she was very confrontational and pretending she couldn't understand my accent and talking down at me as i was a groupon customer, never once apologised and clearly not taking into consideration any feedback and infact saying: i have no idea what groupon deal you bought as we have so many. I was very shocked by her attitude and when i asked her name she said her name was Natalie.
When i went to have the treatment the lady was very unfriendly and unhelpful, she was aware of the all conversation i had with Natalie, i was doubtful about the effectivneess of the treatment as my last session was 4 months earlier and i wasn't sure wich area of the buttocks had been treated 4 months earlier, and she was clearly trying to make me feel stupid saying: i am so surprised you don't remember what area you had treated last time. I very coldly and loudly said: i actually told you already three times it was the buttocks area" which i admit it wasn't very nice of me and i did apologise to the lady whom then called Natalie with a complete different name: Paula.
At that point i was asked by Natalie/Paula to leave, being told i wad rude. I gladly left as the athmosphere was really bad and i was made to feel very insignificant. I felt like those two people were ganging up on me and there was nothing i could say or do. Apologies to the lady doing the treatment for having slightly raised my voice but regarding the Other lady thst gave me a false name too, her attitude stank and she shouldn't be doing that job.
I truly hope i can get a refund...
