Very poor quality. $70 boots looks like they should be sold at a dollar store! Plus, the boots both say 7 1/2 even though I ordered size 8 and the box says 8 yet both boots fit differently. My sweat shirt is see through, and the leggings are cheap and miss sized! Don't waste your money or time with this company.
I have been ordering from venus for years now, I get most of my sweaters, tops, and some work apparel from this website. NEVER once have I been disappointed, everything has always shipped on time and never had an issue with returns or customer service. For those who write the clothing is cheap probably are not reading the labels in which the wash instructions are, these clothes will last if you do not dry them. I highly recommend this site.
Ok I hardly ever post positive reviews lol and I have to say Venus is just an AWESOME company. Given I do live in Florida, where they are located, but I get my packages SO fast. Like on day! With standard shipping! The quality of the clothes I think is awesome for how affordable they are. If something doesn't fit it's usually because I'm just really short so it's not really their fault... like jackets etc...
However I remember ordering and returning stuff like 3 times before my cruise. Thinking oh man I'm never going to get the refunds or money in time... and I did! They refund the charges so fast once you send the stuff back! I'm just really a HUGE fan of them! :)
Horrible shipping practices and customer service is clueless. I'm still waiting for a dress i ordered for a wedding that never arrived. Customer service said "the order shipped on the 21st, but it's still in Jacksonville..." That's not quite shipped is it now?
Either way, the items I ordered are now useless and I now anticipate a refund request nightmare. What happened Venus?... I've ordered from you guys a few years ago and orders were received in the time frame expected, and in Canada too! I see this company going out of business soon because you can't keep their commitments to their customers. I definitely won't be falling for this trap ever again. Make it right Venus!
I've been ordering from Venus for about 2 years. I have never been disappointed. I've never gotten the wrong item and everything, except one item, has fit perfectly. Companies make mistakes, it happens. All of these bad reviews are ridiculous in my opinion.
A friend of mine recommended checking out their bathing suit collection at the top of this year, and I have been hooked ever since! I've ordered everything from sweaters to bikini's, and truth be told there has been only 1 piece that I was not terribly happy with. Aside from that, true to size, good quality, fair pricing-and my customer service experiences have been excellent. My only suggestion (per the website), is order a size up on bikinis-tops in particular.
Clothing is made of cheap material: it looses shape and will pill quickly. Trust me; you will be annoyed at those fuzz balls and it's because Venus Swimwear clothing is made up of synthetic fibers that are cheaply/loosely woven. Walmart quality. You should either wash clothing by hand, turn them inside out to avoid friction or buy a razor and find yourself always de-pilling your pieces. Next, you'll battle with clothing that also loses its shape. Sorry but this brand of clothing just isn't worth it.
The bathing suits are a grade better, so you may just want to stick with swimwear.

Ordered from catalogue with labels from Mississauga Ontario. Did not know it was an American company! Was not aware that my purchase would be in American dollars. Rec'd several promotion emails that same Black Friday week for my items offered at lower prices. My items were ordered in medium size, of which I am a perfect 8-10 and they were so large I could get 2 people inside. I was charged a duty extra price of $35. For a $74. Purchase. To return I must pay shipping. What? Worst online company ever!. Cdn buyer stay away. There are NO DEALS at that company.

Ordered 100$ of stuff and received within a week. The clothes do run on the longer and larger size but the swimsuits fit amazing especially if you are one size on top and another on the bottom. Returned two items with the label they gave due to being large they kept me updated by emails when they received, processed, and shipped out the new items. Everything processed and new items revived in 2 1-2 weeks. My best friend has placed several orders and returns without issue as well. The sizes that come in bra size are right on, the maxi dresses, skirts ect run long and go down one size. Never ordered shoes, pants, or accessories. Would love to here if they run big as well?
I love this site, I'm shocked at the negative reviews as well... I've ordered sweaters, dresses, tops and swimwear (hello boobs!) and have loved everything. One sweater didn't hang on me like it did in the picture, but hey, she's a super-short, super skinny model. They have lots of cute styles and I love the variety. As long as you actually zoom in on the picture, you can tell the type of material you are getting. The only other bad thing is I always forget about the duties and taxes to Canada are extra... but even with this extra cost, there's no way I'd be able to buy the 3 dresses and 2 sweaters I did for $200 total! Love Venus!
I recently bought several items from Venus for the first time. I ended up returning one of the shirts, due to poor sizing. I finally received my refund and was shocked by what I found. I paid $29 for the shirt, but was refunded $18.09. I order constantly online and Never have I seen such ridiculous charges. Recommendation; Do Not purchase from this company. Clothes are mediocre at best and return policy is a rip off!

All around horrible. The price for most of the clothes are way over the quality of the product. When sites especially clothing stores advertise free exchanges I will order several items expecting some of them to be returned / exchanged for more. I did this twice with two separate orders around $300 and frankly I ended up returning more then half of the items each time.
After returning one defective item they actually sent me another with the same defects (or even the exact same item)... They completely botched my second exchange request. I'm so frustrated I dont even know if its worth my time to contact them or eat the money.
If I could give them negative nothing, I would! This is the second time I've been ripped of by Venus. I suggest if you buy something you better make damn sure it fits perfectly otherwise don't bother sending it back. I purchased a blouse for $34 but it didn't fit right so I returned it and they charged me 31.95 "return label fee" in addition to the $6.95 I'd already paid to ship it back so my refund was $2.05! I am so infuriated right now. Had I know this bull$#*! was going to happen I would have kept the shirt and sold it on Ebay!
Dresses indeed look nice in catalog, but the actual material and quality is rather poor. You can pretty much order from a random Chinese web-site, and it'd be cheaper and better quality. I live in Canada. It took Venus almost 40 days to ship, with no tracking info given whatsoever. Customer rep told me to wait for about a week while they were tracing my order. Don't get fooled by the nice-looking things in their catalog, the actual product quality is very poor. Sorry Venus, you let me down.
1. Clothes are very thin and made with cheaper materials
2. If you buy and return you will be charged $6+ for your return label AND $5 shipping for the original package that may have been free at the time of the purchase. I ended up paying $12 extra dollars bc of this.
3. Never buying from here again.
Unbelievable that after 2 months and countless promises from Venus still have not received refund... the jumpsuit that I ordered has a leg length that no human could wear. I am tall 5'91/2" and I literally had to drag soaking wet ( it was raining) pant legs around all day at my son's college graduation... and I had heels on?

I had a really hard time with the purchase of a jumpsuit for my daughter. Customer service even lied to me and said it had been shipped. Emails only brought back negativity. Supposedly after 17 days she just may have the jumpsuit.

I have ordered several things from Venus and very satisfied. I get sent links via email from them showing me items I might be interested in only when I click on the items... there is an X over my size! It seems every item I want to purchase is sold out. Very aggravating. How do you run a business if your most popular items and sizes are always sold out? I'm going to look for a womens clothing store that actually has stock to purchase from.

I searched for hours to find a realistic trench coat outfit. I settled on a $40 costume from dress venus expecting something realistic but not the best quality seeing as some of these outfits can cost upwards of $200! How wrong was I! The coat is made of a thick luxurious material with a velvet finish. Everyone who's seen it have all said the same thing..."You must have spent a fortune on it!" Very happy customer and I will definitely buy from them again
Terrible customer service. Be careful when you return something. On top of their return label fee (which is understandable), they will also deduct many other amounts/fees out of your refund. They are very tricky and deceiving. Poor quality merchandise. I guess you get what you pay for. But generally I felt ripped off after returning what didn't work. And, their interest is Not good customer service. I came across some rude customer service reps via chat. I will never ever shop from this company again.
Answer: I've been buying from Venus FOR YEARS(!) so I was so surprised at all the bad reviews. Yes, occasionally I've been unhappy with a purchase BUT it's rare; and yes, there was a couple of items that I found "cheap-looking" (but I'm super-careful to read the material description prior to purchase - sometimes you can just tell). Their sizing surprises me though... I'm usually a large in regular & a XL in juniors BUT I always wear a Medium in Venus clothing (5'1", 115 lbs, 36D) - I'm thinking that they cater to the "busty"? (Or maybe the clothes ARE made in China?) Who knows... don't care... their clothes are different from anywhere else & I always get compliments - especially from my husband! However, after 15 + yrs as a customer, I must admit I was unaware they offered free returns (good to know :), but happy I've only returned 2 or 3 items & didn't have any issues - re-packed (w/in 30 days), dropped at PO & rec'd credit on my CC. My ONLY complaint with Venus is the prices; the trick is to wait for a sale (and PS, there prices change every 24-72 hours - NOT kidding!) Everyone has an opinion... if YOU like their clothes, give them a try & form your own - you may just be missing out on fashions that'll look great on you!

Answer: The quality of these closes are horrible! I bought a sweatshirt and the large pocket on the front was down on crooked and the seams on both sides were very uneven. The $70 boots I bought were awful. They both said 7 1/2 but 1 didn't fit at all and they both had holes in the shoes.
Answer: I am a perfect size 8 in say an Old Navy sweater which makes me a M. I am a M with Venus I feel their sizes are way closer to being realistic than say Victoria Secret. Apparently at Victoria Secrets no one has arms or hips. I'm 5'5,135 lbs, size 8 in normal close yet if I pay alot of money for say a dress that dress could be a 6, like at Nordstroms, Yet if I went into say Forever 21 just to get a shirt/sweater/dress chances are I would purchase a Large because they cater to teens.
