I purchased an XL Air France it was clearly stated that the ticket was non refundable but it said changes may be made. I needed to make a change from aug 5 to aug 20 for medical reasons and was willing to pay the change fee stated and difference in ticket. Vayama would not allow be to make a change. Even though their policy indicates that a change is possible. According to the airline, vayama is the responsible party bcz I bought the ticket from them. Of course they deny this and had me ping pong back and forth between them. I heartily dis-courage anyone from buying a ticket from vayama because even with trip insurance which I have you will not be able to plan for unexpected occurrences. Standard policies cover trip changes but won't cover you of you need to buy a new one way ticket. You are better off buying from the airline directly. At least the conditions will be clear and you don't have to ping pong btw the airline and vayama.
Bad decision to use these guys... was unable to check-in online for my international flight (Virgin Atlantic) because I booked through these guys. Then the customer service was no help. Shame on Kayak for pushing these guys...
A day after I purchased the tickets, they changed me to a bad connecting flight. The lay over changed from 2 hours to 7 hours. It was supposed a cheaper flight but they told me the price is the same. They are dishonest. I see a lot of other people have similar experience.
Vayama are proving to be a farce. Not only are they incapable of replying to any messages that are sent to them, they have disconnected their phones at this time. Do not use this company. They are fraudulent as far as I can tell.
I brought a ticket about one hour ago. There was a mistake, I called and was told I could cancel with full refund. I cancelled and when I received conformation there was $50.00 cancellation fee that I was not told about. I was lied to. Unless I receive a full refund, this will go on every website I can find reviewing ticket agents.
It is legit, but not worth the headache. I purchased tickets to Venice, Italy to go on a European cruise. The cruise moved up the boarding time thanks to a regatta happening in the port. I tried excessively to rebook my flight with a willingness to pay the exchange fee. You can only rebook from their inventory, which does not exist. I was then told by an agent to cancel and rebook while receiving a refund. I called Vayama to cancel and was told they would take $400 per ticket to cancel. $100 of it was the poor customer service I received every time. I tried to resolved this through them and tried to pay for the change. I WILL NEVER use them again!
I have booked flight from Vayama.com on 01/24/2020. I was trying to call Vayama immediately to cancel the flight das the flight timing was good for me but I could reach them. Then next day morning on 01/25/2020 (after 7-8 hours of booking) I was able to talk to someone from Vayama and cancel the booking
But Vayama charged me service charge even though I cancelled the ticket in 8 hours after the booking.
I booked a return ticket from Melbourne to Dublin for christmas time and they sent me an email hours later saying the ticket was refunded because the fair is no longer available (have never heard anything like that and they shouldnt be advertising it if it doesnt exist). They then told me on the phone the refund would not reach my account for 15-20 working days and that I should book a new ticket. So the money I saved up to go home theyre now holding. Additionally, when I made the comment of asking why i would book a new ticket if they could just take my money again and cancel it, the woman said "Well we'd just have to hope for the best that that doesn't happen". DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE GUYS. They are a literal scam of a company.
I booked without considering. I needed to change. They tried to help but they quickly got snippy or simply disconnected when I ask for clarification because it's sometimes hard to hear them. They would not communicate via email so I could see what flight and times they were saying. Airlines would not help because I booked with Vayama. Totally screwed.
I would NEVER recommend anyone to use Vayama to book their flights. I tried to change my flight from Zanzibar so that I would fly to Heathrow and stay in London and leave ten days later than my original travel plan. I made it explicitly clear in my e-mail to them but they changed it so that I extended my stay in Zanzibar rather than in London. Vayama then requested that I pay for the flight change fee. I tried to have the fee waived but they refused. Every time I called the agency from Zanzibar, they were rude and unhelpful. Representatives promised that they would call me back or e-mail me, but they never followed through. Thus every time I called them, I would repeat the same issue and nothing would ever get accomplished. I was extremely upset and frustrated by Vayama. I will never forget when one representative told me to to go call British Airways and Tanzania Air myself to make the necessary changes.
I requested a change by email on Monday, March 2 to a flight on March 6 to go back from BKK early. Said they would respond in 48 hours but I received nothing. I called twice but got someone in India I couldn't understand and calls dropped off line. I finally submitted an email request to cancel three times and got a reply but they never bothered to cancel at all. Finally, just bought another ticket home. I will be waiting to see if I get refund minus their stated cancellation charges. I doubt if I will ever hear from them. I got an email from the airline that I was a no-show. First and last time I use Vayama.

Hey ppl, no offense... but dun be a cheapasss n trying to save a buck or two... end up with bunch of bs n phone calls to filing a claim of fraud to your credit cards company... Google their business liscense n check their reviews on line before make any actions
Please stay away from Vayama. They have the worst customer service. I canceled my ticket, and they told me in 5 days I will get my refund back. It's 7 days and no refund, when I called them they said it was already refunded at the same day. I NEVER got a refund. They hung up on me. SCAMMERS
Vayama doesn't care for costumers at all, airline canceled my flight at the time of pandemic, and gave me a full refund, Vayama kept the cancellations fee without a shame, especially at this time. I have sent many e mails for any explanations from them, they didn't bother at all.
Worst travel agency ever
Vayama is one of the worst travel agencies (if they even deserve to be called one), their customer service it's just useless, they cannot process a cancelation and when they attempt to, it's been many days after and they charge you with ridiculous fees. They don't even try to help and their "emergency" line is always unattended
My flight ticket has been cancelled by the airline due to COVID. They said the money I paid for my ticket will be full refund since it's cancelled by airline. Also according to DoT guideline, it is entitled to FULL refund when it's cancelled by airline. But Vayama forced me to travel on different days unless I want to pay the cancellation fee $450. So I have filed a claim to a few places and now Vayama has refunded partially and still charged $100 for cancellation fee. Why am I responsible for it? Such a trash company! Do not buy anything there! I will continue to fight with them to get full refund.
Incompetence at Vayama caused my reservation to be canceled. My credit card needed confirmation of the charge (5 international tickets, over $5,000); once I confirmed, Vayama promised in multiple phone calls that they would complete the purchase the same day. That was false, and they waited another day to process, at which point a new confirmation was required - without waiting for that, Vayama canceled the purchase and then would not honor the price they sold the tickets at, saying "fares are not guaranteed." They would only rebook at over $1,000 higher cost (for 5 tickets). It was cheaper to buy direct from the airline, but it was still $700 more than Vayama's original price.
When everything is straightforward, and the flights happen as planned, Vayama sometimes gives you a price discount. However, when an airline cancels a flight, and you need the flight re-scheduled, Vayama is terrible. If you deal with the airline directly, they will fix the problem right away. Vayama mishandles it and will tell you "this is all the airline offered" when that is NOT the case. After a conference call with Vayama and China-Airlines (because numerous prior calls to Vayama accomplished nothing), I actually received an e-mail from China-Airlines stating that Vayama was not following up with them to fix the problem. Just unbelievable. Vayama does more to hinder than help. And unfortunately, you apparently have to sue Vayama in California, so not good to do business with them if you are in another state.
Vayama's customer service is absolutely terrible. I booked a flight to the Philippines in 10/18 with travel dates in 14/19. Our flight was cancelled because the airline quit their route on this date. I called customer service and they said to call the airline. I asked Vayama what I was paying for when I booked through them, and I after a few minutes I figured out that they sell tickets and that's it. A few months later, the connection flight in the U, S, was moved to the next day with a 23 hour layover. I called Vayama, and of course they told me to call the airline. I will NEVER book with them again, and I would advise all of you to stay away from them.
I had a real issue in my booking with Vayama. I have contacted them several times until at end I have contacted them through Facebook messenger. They have replied to me so quick and they were so polite and professional. Someone from Vayama CS has called me and solved my issue. They have sent me an updated ticket and have charged me only what I should be charged.
Thanks to Vayama. I appreciate this and for the quality and professionalism of the employee who has worked with me via Facebook and the one who has called me later, listened to me and solved my issue.
Answer: Go to webjet they are better
Answer: Don't do it -- not worth it. They won't actually book you on those flights your seeing, and will change your itinerary before your flight actually goes out. -- So much so I was booked on a flight that made me miss my connection, and they said I had no choice but to rebook that leg of my trip 2 days prior or after... so I asked for a refund and it's being "approved" -- $700 down the drain.
