Where to begin? I was charged $900 for tickets that I was told 'weren't actually confirmed' when I arrived at the Kathmandu airport in Nepal. I could see my tickets online, but could not board the plane. Calling many times the following two days, no one would give us a refund or help us. I'm now trying for a full refund and will file a fraud claim with Chase if I have to. I can't imagine worse service- please, please book directly with the companies you see the tickets are through, even if you search through Kayak. It's also good to remember when traveling in countries abroad that small airports often can't help you and their sales teams aren't big enough to do anything, especially last minute. Anyway, worst treatment and travel experience ever.
The worst agency i have ever meet!
There customer support didn't even tried to help.
All of the agent spoke to me so rude, i have never heard such a big agency that talking like this to there customers!
Don't you all dare to use there service.
Fraud, stay away from this company.
1. They say you can cancel within 24hrs, when you can't if you try to.
2. They charge fees that are barely legal. They overcharge change fees, cancelation fees, basically making money on the airlines fees.
3. The customer service is non existent to the point you wonder if they have a policy to let you wait in order for you to hang up.
4. When you call their "emergency number", no one ever picks up the phone, and the line disconnects after 10 min on hold. Good luck if you want to cancel a ticket within their time deadline.
These people should be taken to court. I am considering to do just this, the least I will file a complaint with the commerce department for unfair practices.
I fly internationally every year and never had this kind of problem with booking online using other agents. I ordered international flight tickets from Vayama on Sunday, December 4th, paid with my visa and received an email stating that they will be sending me another email with confirmation and e-ticket. Have not heard from the company in 4 days, called them myself Friday December 9th. After being on hold for 15 minutes, I was told that my reservation was cancelled due to an increase in price between the time I placed my order and the time the ticket was issued. When I asked why I was not informed about the cancellation, I wasn't given any explanation. From what I understood, they should have emailed me within 1 business day, and if I don't hear from them, I should assume (!) that my booking got cancelled. I lost a whole week and had to book another ticket from a different agent for a much higher price.
Poor, but you will get rich off us, taking our money and giving our return flights. I paid 600+ US dollars to book a round trip ticket. I called abs said I couldn't make my first flight I would get a one way and travel on my return. They cancelled the whole trip but did not refund anything.
I booked ticked through vayama.com for both of my parents. Due to sudden demise of one of the passenger it was requested to cancel one ticket. The request was initiated one and half moth ago and when the second passer travel date approached it was told both tickets were cancelled with out pre authorization. No proper communication on this matter though email or call. Even though I made several follow up calls it was not informed untill the last moment.
Worst customer service experience I've ever had not even worh for one star.
Not a travel agent.
Not responsive to any delay, schedule change request.
They say they will respond "within 48 hours via email".
They do not.
This is an off-shore call center. Do not book travel with them. They are not a travel service within the model known to be a US operated company travel agency.
Once you bought your ticket there is nothing you can do - they will not answer the phone for days. If you get through they'll drop you. Their website is not working - cannot reach your reservation. Scammers.
I just tried changing my return flight with vayama.
It couldnt and communication was horrible, it took me 3 calls 10 emails and 5 days to know i couldnt unles i pay more than for the entire ticket as it was booked.
Everybody tells you different stuff and call centers are never actually a big help... and you are lucky if the persons English is OK (apparently it is india). Droped out of line once. Never again.
This company is terrible and completely not trustworthy. I booked an international flight on their website and after I made the payment, the website said it didn't go through. I then booked the same flight on a different company and learned the next day the transaction from Vayama did indeed go through. Nevertheless, I purchased the same flight twice. I called Vayama and explained my situation and they berated me for not understanding how this technicality and policy work. Worst, they said if I canceled they would refund me 2/3 of the flight, but of course, that too was a lie. Speaking with them over the phone was a total waste of time and complaining to the floor manager was futile as he complained back at me for not taking action earlier. I don't think this company is a complete mess, but my experience left me baffled and I will never use them again.
Still waiting, over 3 months later, for vayama to refund the purchase price of a flight that was cancelled due to covid-19. They are the masters of providing circular emails that provide absolutely no information. No known customer service number. I just put in complaints to both the BBB & the DOT about their practices.
Stay away from this website. They do not update the prices and reservations constantly so you can easily pick a flight and then receive an e-mail the next day saying they could not book it.
You will get stuck paying a much higher price if the flight prices go up and they will do nothing to help out. This was exactly what happened to me.
The customer service is terrible, to the point I was denied talking to a manager by an associate by the name of "Navja", after waiting about 30 minutes on hold.
She excused this situation by saying "this always happens to every website" which was an interesting answer seeing as I travel all the time and this is the first time I book a flight, have my credit card charged, and then get an e-mail telling me it couldn't get booked.
Long story short, go the safe way and book directly through kayak or the airline. This website is basically a joke.
Very bad customer service. They don't know how to behave with the customers. When tried calling them to get some help on changing the itenary and they went offline and din't get back to me. I was in an impression that they are working on my itenary. After 45 minutes, I disconnected and tried calling again. Same thing repeated with another agent. Again waited for 2 hours and no response. Called third time and finally able to respond and I want to complain about the previous situation to supervisor, they said no superviser in the weekend. All non sense. Don't trust this website and my humble request, please don't buy tickets from them.
I bought 4 tickets for my family trip on 16 th January then 17th of January ı have to cancel 3 of tickets in a 4. ı called them and they sent me a cancellation e-mail. I asked them e-mail to me the cancelled amount (because ı want to see what is coming back). For sure they wouldn't, because instead of refunding 2200 $for 3 tickets, they did only refund 849 $. They said it takes 5 days fully completed. Today is the 6 th day still telling me the same stories. Where they found those guys to hire as a customer service please keep away from that company never ever use to buy ticket from them
I tried to cancel my flight by calling them. Each of the 6 calls I made lasted for 1 hour of hold time. Then I was dropped. I also contacted them via email 6 times. 3 times I was offered a quote and never received a quote. I will be contacting my congressional delegation. This company should not be operating in the USA. I also contacted the Airhelp service they charged me $39 for. They refused to help me told me to contact Vayama.
I still must get my tickets canceled and a full refund. Sometimes saving a buck can cause a nightmare customer service experience. I am just one negative review out of nearly 400.
Looking forward to hearing from a live person from Vayama.
Mark
Vayama>Travix they are a total fraud. I'm still calling to claim and as soon as they open my case in the system they hang up on me- all the time. No emails, no phone answers. They never reimbursed my money after six months of non-stop claiming. ETicket ************** VUS-******* Unacceptable!
DO NOT EVER USE VAYAMA. I am currently stranded in Amsterdam trying to fly home to the US. Their flight was cancelled so I called them and they said talk to the airline. Airline said talk to Vayama since they booked the travel. Long story short after talking to Vayama for the past 7 hours 45 mins (and counting) is they will get me home 21 hours later than what i originally booked. They will not put me in a hotel or provide meal vouchers, I simply need to hang out for an additional 21 hours. Their customer service team in India has actually found ways to be less than useless. Legally they are supposed to put me on another flight but refuse to do so.
Don't book your flight! I have been purchasing tickets online for years and have never encountered such bad customer service. My father's sister had died and he had to cancel his ticket. It has been over 2 months, and only after I called on his behalf and asked to speak to a supervisor that I received a response. Apparently, the cancellation status was not up to date, and they forgot to contact us, 2 days after we canceled the ticket, about the documents that we were supposed to send them. And now, after taking the blame, all they had to say is sorry, and we lost close to 1000 dollars on that purchase. If you have any more questions, and still considering to use Voyama's services, contact me first: Lily Medvedev on Facebook. I will help you change your mind.
I have th head the most horrible experience. I believe they are a scam, i couldn't even take the flight that I booked with them. We were stranded on the airport and couldn't board the flight after we had paid for the tickets in full and in advance. We called the customer service numerous times with no response. At last we had to book another airlines at last minute. Don't be fooled by their lower prices, I would never book with them again.
I was surprised seeing so many negative reviews on Vayama. I have booked twice with them and on both occassions had no issues getting the tickets or even changing the 2nd flight to a later date. I am currently booking through a different agency and noticed a lot of negative reviews as well which scared me a little so figured leaving a positive review for Vayama for others - and will do the same if the other company comes through with tickets (fingers crossed). Anyway - worked fine for me!
Answer: Go to webjet they are better
Answer: Don't do it -- not worth it. They won't actually book you on those flights your seeing, and will change your itinerary before your flight actually goes out. -- So much so I was booked on a flight that made me miss my connection, and they said I had no choice but to rebook that leg of my trip 2 days prior or after... so I asked for a refund and it's being "approved" -- $700 down the drain.
