Vayama sucks. Booked flights for two to Amsterdam. Received email saying: "Vayama is processing your booking
Vayama will email your ticket number within one business day.
Vayama will provide customer service for this booking:" Next day received email with subject: RE: KUSW-******* ///Booking Cancelled [#*******]" No explanation, no nothing. Now I have to scramble to find other flights at higher price. Vayama's policy is to charge $300 per ticket for cancellations. I expect the same from them. Vayama, you owe me $600. VAYAMA SUCKS.
Don't use Vamaya anymore. I booked twice, they both changed my flight schedule randomly at the last moment. First itinerary Vayama didn't help to reschedule, I did by myself by calling airline. The second itinerary the airline proved they didn't change schedule at all, Vayama cheated and changed at the first moment without reason. I was exhausted and almost missed all of the tour money in expensive Africa.
If it wasn't for the kindness of our fellas ozzies from qantas we would be able to have moved our flights forward from the 28 to anytime earlier due to the Covid-19. Vayama has NOT returned any of our emails despite from emailing them daily for 5 days! Also their phone lines are locked down. May the universe bless Qantas!
I have never written a negative online review in my 27 year old life. I cannot emphasize enough how terrible of a company Vayama is. My wife booked a flight under her maiden name at the time. We had to switch the name to her correct last name sending copies of our marriage license and passport per Vayama rep's request. After a week, I called back and "Karen" which obviously is not her name due to her thick indian accent and apparently the "supervisor", told me that the flight has to be cancelled. I told her that is not the case per the last rep. She then told me to hold on and they would get back with me in an hour. I asked her why I could not get a straight answer and she hung up... like wtf is this boujee s***
I just bought flight tickets from Brazil to USA with Vayama. I got the E-ticket less than 5 minutes after finishing the online booking/payment. After read the previous evaluation I've called the airline company in Brazil and confirmed that my e-ticket is valid and my travel is correctly booked.
I am here stuck in Thailand, trying to contact you to get helps and get answers but no response, despite the fact that I have sacrificed too much money to make phone calls because you don't reply to emails, I trusted the wrong company to purchase tickets, well, if you think 1 time customer will be enough for your business then you shouldn't run business any more.
I booked 4 tickets, got a booking inquiry number, but not a confirmation email. After a few days I got a response from their mail support the booking was canceled. I could have saved money elsewhere. It adds up for 4 people. I suppose it could have been worse, but I will never use them again and would not recommend them.
I bought my ticket at Vayama through kayak and 10 days later they sent me an email saying that they canceled my flight because the airline canceled it. They told me that l would have my money refunded in 45 days, it has been 48 days since I bought my ticket and still I don't have my money.
This is one example that cheap is usually more expensive because they screwed up my trip.
Don't ever book a flight from them. If there is a flight change, There system doesn't get updated and customer service people have no sence of talking. I am giving them 1 star as there is 0 star or - option.
I just spoke to the customer service at Vayama about my canceled flight. At the end of the conversation, I told the agent that I am going to use Vayama again because of their service is way below my expectation. The agent responded me say "we don't care! Bye" - I think this tell you all about their customer service. Be careful when you choose to use them.
I booked a flight and received an email notification a week later that the flight was changed for the next day's flight. No apologies and no follow up from Vayama. I had to call to say that I do not accept the flight change and to change my booking back to the date originally booked. I was told that I will receive a response within 24hrs.
We are now 7 days later and the several occasions I call back I stay on hold for more than 15 minutes with no response on the other hand. It looks like Vayama is a Scam!
The worst customers service ever, I'm done with this website. You don't have the right to talk to a manager when you are not satisfied, all they do in hang up the phone on you. I booked a ticket and by mistake I entered the wrong date so I called to change it knowing that I'm allowed to make changes within 24hrs but I was told that I have to pay $50 to cancel my tickets and buy a new one and thats the only way I can do it. Under the DOT's regulation I do have a right to do it but they refuse to hear it (Under the DOT's regulations, as long as a customer books a non-refundable ticket at least seven days ahead of the scheduled departure, an airline is required to offer one of two options: allow that customer to change or cancel the trip within 24 hours without penalty, or hold that reservation at the current price for.)
Long story short... my flight was cancelled do to covid so I was to be refunded in 30 days. I contacted Korean air and they said vayama was refunded the money on March 9th and here it is June 5th and I've heard lie after lie and now vayama is saying sometime in July! It doesn't take 4+ months to issue a refund!
They say you can cancel within 24 hours and when you call they hang up and never retun back. Worst customer service, and then they change their stance saying it should be within the same day, so you need to mention that it should be within the same day not 24 hours. Dont use vayama, there are other sites out there that have excellent customer service.
I was trying to change my return ticket waw-lax, after many calls, emails, long wait time on the line, Vayama customer service is unable to resolve the issue. Till know I don't know how to get back home! Customer service is uninformed and gives lots of explenations why the new ticket can't be re-issue. Now they asking me to buy new ticket with terrible connection, over 12h wait in Moscow. I'm not sure what to do :(
Our two sons went to Russia on holiday, (18 yr old and 16) on the way back British airways check in desk would not let the younger one board the plane to come back home unless he had written permission from us to say he could leave Russia to come home. The older one had to leave him with a friend who came to help. He is now stranded there and Vayama could not be contacted to rebook the ticket. When we finally got hold of them they passed the buck to BA, even though we had insurance through Vayama. BA is no help too. Our son is stuck in Russia. For all Vayama and British Airways know or care he is 16 years old and alone.
We contacted the Russian Embassy and they said the reason for the written permission is because of the human trafficking into the UK. They have to safeguard children. WTF, yes just dump him at the airport in Moscow instead.
Booked tickets to Tokyo through them without too much problem, but in retrospect I would have been better off paying a little more for tickets rather than dealing with the long layovers I had. But I used them again to book tickets from Florence to Copenhagen. They charged me for the tickets but never issued them. I contacted them and was told to email my credit card statement to them. Never heard back from them. Tried calling, waited forty minutes to get through, talked to someone for 5 minutes who asked 3 times for my booking number, which I explained 3 times that I didn't have because no tickets were ever issued, then she hung up on me. Called again, got a different person who asked for a booking number then hung up on me when I couldn't provide one. Gave up and filed a dispute through my credit card company and let them handle it. I'll never book through Vayama again. You get what you pay for. Except with Vayama, I didn't even get that.
This is really ridiculous because vayama asked me to pay 300.00 for infant baby cancel ticket. However I did not buy a ticket for baby because infant baby is Free seat plus just tax. If mother pays the cancellation fee the infant baby is automatically canceled. Therefore this 300.00 asking is literally robbing.
Watch out when they quote you. I am in Canada and they give you a price in Dollars which is the currency we use here.
What they don't tell you that their quotes are in U.S. dollars.
So a ticket that they try and tell you is only $800 dollars is actually over 1000 dollars.
When I tried to contact them they hung up on me.
They do not state that their price is in U.S. dollars. I am in Canada and am looking at other sites that all know that i am in Canada and quote in Canadian dollars.
This is misleading and dishonest.
They won't even consider refunding my money,
Never again

We booked online through their website for our first trip to Europe for our anniversary. They cancelled our reservation and never let us know. Then they were completely rude when we called and wouldn't help when we tried to re-book. We ended up having to rearrange our entire trip and it cost us $2000 extra.
Answer: Go to webjet they are better
Answer: Don't do it -- not worth it. They won't actually book you on those flights your seeing, and will change your itinerary before your flight actually goes out. -- So much so I was booked on a flight that made me miss my connection, and they said I had no choice but to rebook that leg of my trip 2 days prior or after... so I asked for a refund and it's being "approved" -- $700 down the drain.
