My flight was canceled and I had to rebook it. It was Trouble on trouble in every step of the way. Going into detail and ranting about it would take more time than I care to put into it. I was bouncing between Vayama and the airline about 4 times. Bad slow service. DO NOT BOOK.
I recently tried booking a trip from Vayama.com -- I don't normally use 3rd parties, but when I have, I've had no problems on those occasions I don't book directly with the airline. I don't normally do reviews either.
They interpreted my asking for a change of a LUGGAGE OPTION as a booking cancellation, after I clearly stated I wished to keep the itinerary as was. After waiting 14 days with endless "48 hour contact returns", and not hearing a word back either by email or by phone, and after not be given any specific timeline re a refund/penalty scheme, I have initiated a billing dispute/fraud charge with my bank.
Whether this service leans toward fraud itself or is merely totally incompetent makes no difference. Their customer service is not woeful, it is rude and insulting. I have never dealt with any merchant that was so blatantly incompetent or perhaps criminal. They are to be avoided AT ALL COSTS.
WORST experience in VAYAMA! Bad customer services, so rude and irresponsible! I want to do refund with them, And they charged me the Cancellation fee 300 dollars, I don't k ow what to say because I'm really angry at his moment, my suggestion is don't go this website again!
We went on Safari to Africa and purchased through Vayama a one way ticket on Precision Air form Kilimanjaro to Dar Es Salaam to connect to a KLM flight to Amsterdam. When we got to the airport, we were told by Precision Air that our flight was delayed and we cannot make the connection to KLM. We immediately made some frantic calls to Amsterdam and were
Re-routed to another KLM flight from Kilimanjaro. Upon returning home, we contacted Precision Air to get refund on our tickets (BIG MISTAKE!). They are one of the worst ever airlines to deal with. Luckily, I contacted Vayama (David Rush) and told them the saga we went through.
Vayama tried to contact Precision Air but guess what, no luck too. Shortly thereafter, Vayama got back to me, apologizing and offered us $200 coupon to use on any flight booked with them.
I loved their response and plan to use them more in the future.
I have been attempting to get a $2000 refund for cancelled flights due to COVID for 5 months. The airline has told me I need to get the money back from Vayama and the travel insurance denied my claim due to the airline cancelling the flight. Vayama continues to make excuses and blame the airline for not returning my money. I have been trying to get a refund for 5 months and have finally filled a claim with the Better Business Bureau. The customer service is horrible and mostly non-existent and the stock emails responding to my continued requests are in broken English. They are not taking calls on the published phone number. I highly advise you go with any other service other than Vayama. Unethical and poor customer service are the best way to describe my dealings with them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They should not have the luxury of being in business!

I bought a ticket and bought two forms of insurance on the ticket in case I needed to change the ticket. I needed to change the ticket and none of the insurance was applicable they decided, so then said they'd give me a refund minus $300. I agreed but they said my refund wouldn't come to me for 45 days. I also told them I was going to buy two additional tickets and they gave me no consolation.
I waited on hold for 45 minutes and they couldn't get me a receipt for my cancellation.
Terrible, stay away.
So I took a car (at 3 am nonetheless) to make my flight, only to be informed by the check in people that my ticket had been cancelled. It would've been nice of them to email me beforehand, no? So of course I had to rebook with another airline for $100 more and wait from 8:30 until 3 pm for my new flight. INCOMPETENT and UNETHICAL. Do NOT do business with these people. Pay more if you have to.
Vayama is a bad, travel agency.! DON'T USE THEM.! They take Your money even When the airlines refund a flights, their costumer service people are rude and unprofessional
It is obvious that they has no intention to refund the amount that they received from United to us, they are predatory travel company As they bilk money from their customers and provide horrible customer service it, unfortunate. I would recommend nobody to make business with them.!

I had a horrible experience with a flight I booked through Vayama. I booked a flight to Europe through Vayama and was told a departure time from SFO. So I had booked a connecting flight from Seattle to SFO in order to catch the SFO flight in time. It turns out the departure time I was given by Vayama was wrong; it was an hour earlier than they had told me. So I had to change my connecting flight at the last minute because of Vayama's mistake- at an additional cost of $200! I have not yet received any acceptable response from Vayama.
I am considering walking away from a $1000 credit with vayama just because of the nightmare it will entail dealing with them again. Absolutely, unbelievably horrible
I have rented car with them (twice) and everything has been smooth, nice and quick. For most of the people with complaints, I recommend them to read EVERYTHING they say (credit cards, refunds, cancellations, etc) and maybe most of the complaints would have been avoid. I will continue renting car with them because they offer very good prices.
Vayama customer care is designed to be as inaccessible as possible. They screwed me out of over $1000 in damages and does not take any responsibility. Do not EVER use this service.
The only thing good about Vayama is their low-priced fares for some destinations. Rest, its nightmare.
The Customer Service is the worst aspect. There is no accountability of their actions. False promises, misinformation and using non-trained staff is common. There is no care of Customer's time who is waiting on the phone for an hour, the calls are dropped after certain time and this is how you lost your number in the queue.
In my case, ticket needs to be re-issued due to mistake in last name. They asked me to buy another ticket without refunding old ticket money. Charged me $100 Admin Fee for ticket re-issuance. I was told that old ticket money will be refunded within a month. I proceed with new ticket purchase and started to wait for refund. But even after 1-month, refund was not made.
I started my communication via email and was told that it will take another month for refund because nobody at Vayama end ever initiated return request from Airline. At the end, I got the refund after 2+ months of original request with deduction of another $65 Airline fee on top of $100 Vayama Admin Fee.
So, my advise is if you want peace of mind and savings in real, then think 100 times before considering Vayama. Your attempt to save $50 in fares may land you losing several times more with Vayama due to non-serious and pathetic Customer Service.
I booked a ticket for SLC-FRA ($300 cheaper than usual), and although Vayama accepted my card and took a dollar from my account, they never took the full amount from my bank. After waiting a few days, I called them and they said that the tickets were not accepted by the airline. They did not alert me to this before I called them. They were completely unable to help me get the tickets I purchased, and I will probably have to pay $300 more wherever I buy them, but it certainly won't be with Vayama.
Fraud Company. I recently booked my tickets from Vayama, It was showing relatively cheaper tickets from other site. I bought 100 percent refundable policy for which I paid 33$. Because of my personal reasons I canceled my ticket and out of 520$ I am just getting 260$(told by Vayama people). Basically their insurance only applies for 100$. FRAUDDDD! Did not mention clearly on site. And Rest I asked them for my refund, which is been 20 days and thats what their response.

This agency just engages in total non-responsiveness and sends out hte same email over and over if one is attempting to make a change and then tells you when you call that it is too late and the cost will be five times as high even though a quick search of the airline website shows plenty of seats at a lower price than they offer. TO BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS.
Is there any way to give them 0 stars. They gave me a discount code and then I can't use it. If I could cancel the flight I would and buy with someone else.
Attempted to cancel my trip on their site 3 weeks ago. Notification says it will be processed within 2 days. Received a generic email after 6 days to re-confirm my intention to cancel. It's been 3 weeks waiting for a response or cancellation number. Calling their number - either not answering (waiting for 1 hour every time) or simply hang after a generic message.

Do not choose this flight! It often change flight schedule and make mad and embrrassed! Last time they informed me my flight schedule has been changed. Today again they asked confirmation to change my departing time 10:15am to 6:00am. I booked this schedule 2 month ago and I had no choice and I confirmed. I think this flight company is always doing in this way to make thier company profitable. Do not choose this flight even though price is a little low. If you do, you have to take big risk!

They won't actually book you on those flights your seeing, and will change your itinerary before your flight actually goes out. -- So much so I was booked on a flight that made me miss my connection, and they said I had no choice but to rebook that leg of my trip 2 days prior or after... so I asked for a refund and it's being "approved" -- $700 down the drain.
