Do not rent a home that is manages by Vacasa. My family rented a nice home that was manages by Vacasa. When we entered the home, it had not been cleaned. All three beds were were not made. Towels were still all dirty in the laundry rioom. The floors hadn't been vacuumed or washed. Very poor! We had prepaid alot for this home.

Avoid Vacasa at all costs

We arrived at our destination on 6/3/2023. Upon entering the house, going up the steps, there was a stain. Ok, up more stairs and the master bedroom had a pee stained mattress cover, even at the head of the bed, lots of stains. The toilet paper holder had been ripped out of the bathroom wall and my husband found a gallon size baggie behind the dresser. In it was something wrapped in tinfoil…we didn't bother to open it because there were children present. My daughter started vacuuming because it was so nasty, this should have been housekeeping's job. We didn't bother to look at the other bedrooms. We figured they were just as nasty. By this time my grand daughter started crying and didn't want to stay in such a filthy house that was advertised as clean and ready to occupy. My son-in-law called Vacasa and explained about the filth. We were told that if we leave, let them come and clean, then we could come back. After unpacking, why bother to pack up and leave? If we do pack up (which we did) we were leaving this house for good. No coming back. We found out the next day they didn't have anyone to come and clean. After paying over $3,000 for a nasty house, we would have had to get a hotel room for at least 1-2 night. Another $$ we didn't want to pay. Luckily, another realtor had a clean house for our week at the beach. I guess we will take vacasa to court to recoup our money. Stay anywhere else besides VACASA

Check into a property Address of 202 75th Ave North floor 3 unit 5706 Myrtle Beach SC, *******. This place is infested with bed bugs. Took viedo and pictures and they acting like they don't want to refund. Had to throw out clothes and find a different place to stay.

Screwed twice with construction

In the past, we have stayed at the sand and sea condominiums in Seaside, Oregon. Last year, we are told at the last minute - there will be construction.

We went anyways. It was annoying and the very late notice was unacceptable.

We decided to book at the same place this year. What happens? Exactly the same thing. We get an email says before traveling - construction. This is a bait and switch.

I call Vacasa. I finally get thru to an operator. I can barely understand them due to poor english - and there's a rooster crowing In the background, like I'm talking to someone at their house. They couldn't tell me anything.

Will we get a refund? Who knows. We are screwed either way. We either go - and have banging all the time - or if we are lucky - get a refund - but are unable to book another place due to the late notice.

Vacasa and this Sand and Sea condos - are horrible. They should be sued.

Stay away!

Had a very poor experience dealing with Vacasa on a recent rental. The home was not as described and several of the appliances did not work, while others were rusted and dirty. There were no ceiling lights in 2 of the bedrooms, holes in the walls, broken fixtures and beds. Local management was unhelpful and would never speak to me directly. Someone came once to fix the issues and since we weren't home and had a dog, they left. They refused to reschedule a time to return to fix anything. They didn't return our calls, emails, or texts. On the last day of our reservation they finally offered to come. Their customer service is poor, communication is ineffective and inconstant, (I still have never been allowed to speak to local management directly), and they simply don't care about the condition of the homes they rent or customer satisfaction. We had a horrible stay in a dirty home. They also blocked my review from being published on their site.

We rented a house in Topsail North Carolina last week. It was called Oceanfront Acropolis. The house was large and had several large decks. The view was great and the house had potential. However it was dirty. There was dog poop on the main deck at our arrival. The kids bedroom had visible sand on the floor and the carpet on the main level had sand on it. Both microwaves in the two small kitchens were soiled with food. Baseboards were dirty. The windows were so flithy you could not see out of them.One of the oven burners did not work. The beds were very uncomfortable. The pool was green and so filthy you could not swim in it. It took until Tuesday for it to be usable and we called about it when we arrived Saturday. The hot tub never worked and they have no intention of fixing it. The pool guys said it's been broken about a year. The pool had several lose or missing tiles. There were old rusty chairs and grills that needed to be disposed of on the property. This property management company does not provide an acceptable product for the cost. They should be embrassed to do business this way.

Had to Cancel our travel due to my Wife's Father passing suddenly, the day before we were to arrive.
Airline gave us a credit, Car rental gave us a credit credit, Vacasa put me on hold then hung up, I called VRBO they tried to call and were hung up on also. Persistence got a Supervisor to text me. Over text i was denied us because we didn't purchase the ins. She never did answer why I will be charged for a cleaning fee. I wasn't asking for a full refund, hell just an acknowledgment that we are grieving would have been enough instead these people were cold and NO. I actually was wondering if they have incorporated AI into there system. Cold heartless Bastards.
However all texts and phone calls were completed by thank you for calling Vacasa have a great Day. Again a FY from Vacasca. My father in-law 64 had suddenly died the day before arriving. Travel is supposed to be a pleasant experience. We will never make travel plans through Vacasa again!
If I can convince those of you who read this to use other travel venues then fewer people will be subjected to inhumanity that my wife and I experienced with Vacasa.

Unprofessional, non trustworthy. Should be investigated by BBB. Smarmy, sketchy. Never had much confidence going in and should have discontinued my business with them before going to contract. Thugs.

Terrible service

Terrible terrible customer service. Winddancer, Destin, Florida. Requested early check in. Everyone in our party requested early check-in. They all got early check-in except for us. We know for a fact that the room was cleaned and done. 4:00. Still no code to check in. Will NEVER use vacasa rental again.

On-site staff is terrible. Offsite staff is terrible. I'm not sure how this company is in business. I've always loved going to Sandbridge beach but with Vacasa being the option we will look elsewhere. Whoever is running that place needs to be fired.

I had to fight bugs as I sleep and bed was hard as a rock and let's talk about the flying roaches and the smell of the covers on the bed smelled like old wet dogs it was no clean it was very nasty never again will I stay here the road was horrible need a tractor to get there they horrible stay

Horrible

Locked out on 5 days of our vacation! No one even cares! Place was dirty. Vacasa Was notified of our lock out and did absolutely nothing about it! My wife and I were jumping a 5ft fence to enter our paid for Vacation house. Stay away!

My grandchild left a Nintendo Switch Lite at the house we were staying at. When we got home we realized that it had been left behind. Called and asked them if they found it. They said it would be a nonrefundable 25 dollar charge to create a ticket. They called back and said that housekeeping had thrown it away. I call bull $#*!. They stole it for themselves. The company lied to cover the theft up. They only want your money do not stay with them.

I sent my family to universal a couple of weeks ago for my son's graduation. They were moved to a "supposed" updated condo due to the one booked being renovated. When they arrived, it was 80 plus degrees in the condo. One of the showers didn't work and the wifi didn't either. Imagine coming back from a hot day out and it being 80 plus degrees inside! My family of 6 were miserable. We have asked for a partial refund...and no response! We booked through VRBO- VACASA. David communicated well before they arrived, and now...nothing! We usually book 2-3 times a year through VRBO. I would not recomend VACASA to anyone! This is not the first time this has happened to us. All I want is a partial refund from Vacasa. My family dreaded coming back to the condo for 5 days!

Very corporate and policy based, bad management of Airbnb. Zero flexibility. They pretend to care. Worst Airbnb experience, just unpleasant. Hard line on policy when I ask for something and very blasé on their end when they have issues. Home not well stocked. No internet. I would not recommend staying with a property managed by Vacasa.

HORRIBLE

I wouldn't even have given them 1 star but there's nothing less.
Upon arrival to our beach destination trip we discovered the upstairs A/C was not working. Thermostat was set at 68 and reading 81.
I contacted Vacasa and they sent a generic text message telling me to check doors and windows, check the breaker box, unplug the unit in the closet to get it to reset, and try turning off thermostat then back on….ridiculous.
It was late so we decided to just try and reach back out the next morning. I contacted them every day we were there and they just kept putting me off. One of the days a lady showed up from their local staff, had a thermometer to read temperature that the vents were blowing…. It was reading 78/80. She then proceeded to insult us with a snide remark "it cools better if you close the windows". Seriously?!? Then she told us an HVAC person would come….they never did! We HAD to open the windows so we could breathe! The entire upstairs was unusable (which is where kitchen and living areas were). This was supposed to be a family trip and my elderly in-laws couldn't stay due to the temperatures. I continued to reach out and got NOTHING! The last day we were there another local staff lady showed up with a box fan. A BOX FAN.
Also the elevator was one of the reasons we booked this place. It was due to be fixed and in working order the day before we got there (of course we found this out AFTER we paid) it was not working either. And the date of "fix" changed 2 more times while we were there….but it never worked. AGAIN, elderly in-laws.
The house was dirty! Very dirty. There was a cockroach right inside the door to greet us! There was piles of dust and grime everywhere. You could tell that they maybe spent a total of 30 mins "cleaning". It was poor.
The lawn was unkept. It looked like an abandoned house.
Vacasa customer service is the worst I've ever encountered. And they don't care. They are out of state so the don't HAVE to deal with it. Never offered compensation of any sort. I will never ever book with them again and I will ENSURE I post reviews on as many sites as possible.

Was involved in the booking a condo in ocean city maryland, Vacasa was the rental management company assign to handle the property.
Vacasa staff was so unhelpful and rude, I couldn't believe that they were in the customer service business. I would never be involved with any service or business that has Vacasa associated with.

Worst stay ever place was filthy...the bathtub was not draining and maintenance came and couldn't fix it we had to leave a day early due to the fact that we couldn't take showers... management never called me back even though I called multiple times...worst stay ever

We arrived and the place was okay. Only six towels for 10 guests. We baked frozen pizzas and made salad. A few red flags since there wasn't much in terms of kitchen items. Fast forward to our first full day. Found the only good knife and a skillet in the dishwasher. Filthy. From the previous guests. A guy did deliver a bag of towels today after I declined picking them up myself. Dishwasher falls forward out of its space. Washed the previous guests' load of dishes and the bottom of the dishwasher is full of water and debris. We brought hundreds of dollars worth of food (we have 8 teens with us and we're not eating out) and maybe a saucepan and other worthless, random cookware to cook it in. After I spoke to a representative on the phone I received a text saying "the kitchen in the home is not a full kitchen" WTF? Why would I rent a house with everything but kitchen items? We've rented many a home in other places, even near here, and they were equipped with plenty of cookware, dishes, utensils, etc.

Vacasa did not post my review of a home

I rented a 6 bedroom home in May 2023. Vacasa texted me a link to review the property. I wrote a 3 star review with factual information about the house. It has been a week and Vacasa has not posted my review to the house's page. I noticed that only 4 and 5 star reviews have been posted. There is no way to write a review directly on the home's Vacasa page. I believe Vacasa is filtering out some reviews.
