I used to pay $5.00 for on time shipping and now it's $10.00 for "in transit arriving late". Postmaster General Louis DeJoy needs to be replaced.

Don't expect tracking

Over the last month or so I have placed orders with several different companies and paid for shipping via USPS Priority Mail. I did this because, with Priority Mail, there is, theoretically, tracking available. With any tracked package the company prepares the package, prints a label through their connection with USPS (presumably), and the package shipping is considered as started (as you will be informed by the company you have paid). The USPS supposedly picks up the package (that is the impression I get) and away it goes. Here's the glitch in the tracking system. If, when picked up, the package isn't scanned in, there is no indication of movement, this happens with products I have ordered about 50% of the time. If you try to contact the company you bought stuff from they will tell you the Post Office has it, if you try to contact the Post Office to find out what's going on they, as only an entity with ties to the federal government, have a computer reporting system that WILL NOT LET YOU REPORT A PROBLEM. Now I assume that, as I have had this happen multiple times. It is a regular problem in shipments through the Post Office. On days where conspiracy theories invade my brain, I wonder why the Post Office is out to get me. In either case, my purpose is to inform, if you are expecting a package shipped with USPS and you are given information for tracking the shipment, DON'T EXPECT TRACKING.

I was sending a Personal and Confidential letter to a Doctor 12 miles from the sending Post Office. On a Friday, I bought Certified Mail and Return Receipt Requested and it left the Post Office that afternoon – With estimated delivery the following Monday.
I started tracking the envelope that Monday and again daily for the next 12 days – Response from the USPS app was "currently in a Distribution Center" all that time. I put in a Customer Service Request and opened up a Case, spoke with Customer Service, and visited the Post Office where it was mailed. Got the same status that I got from the tracking app – Your delivery will be late and the envelope is in a distribution center. When speaking with an employee, also got "we are very sorry" many, many times.
Finally on the 13th day, I made a copy of the letter and drove it the 12 miles and hand-delivered it to the Doctor's office. I then went and got my money refunded for the service I did not get.
Lesson Learned: I will not trust an important document to the USPS Certified Mail service! I have more trust and confidence in Fed Ex or UPS.

I commissioned a friend in the US to ship two packages to my country (italy) and everything went well at first. He paid about 200 dollars, so not a little. After a few days, both parcels came back to him. Cause: The description of the content is not sufficient. What?! If the description was too short, WHY did the operator send it anyway? The courier told my friend that he wouldn't have to pay a second time to ship agains the to packages. He went back to the post office and they told him that it was HIS FAULT and that to send the parcels back he had to pay AGAIN! The mistake was made by the USPS operator in Austin, Texas who handled the shipment! The operator did not know how to do her job immediately informing my friend that the description of the contents was too short, HOW COULD HE KNOW THAT?! Your job is to inform customers and CHECK that all shipments are in order! Now do I have to pay $200 again?! The money my friend paid was to get the parcel here to Italy, but having been sent back immediately, WHAT DID THEY USE FOR? You are shameful and incompetent! Our Italian post office is incompetent, but apparently USPS is even worse!

My review is of a business that is not trustworthy. They made my life a living hell! I will tell you that somebody in their employees did a bad thing. They sent my package back out by forwarding it to a wrong place. Why that person did that I dunno but it was mean and coniving. My package got sent from Owensboro, KY. To Des Moines, Iowa (supposedly by mistake) but I think it was done on purpose and was a fool thing to do. I contacted them at usps and they were not helpful at all and did not seem to care whereas I contacted UPS snd they have taken care of the matter. We'll see what USPS IN Owensboro, KY does when my package shows up again. Yeah, it was UPS that let me know it was somebody in Bon Harbor post office that forwarded my package to Des Moines, iowa after it arrived here in Owensboro. I want my package delivered to me and I aim to get it. If heads roll to get it then so be it. I will make sure of it. I know it's fraudulant to do what whoever did by sending my package to another state like that for no good reason other than to cause harm to me. The burden is proof that they intentionally did that and I was monitoring my package in tracking my package and saw that it was sent to Des Moines after it had arrived in Owensboro, KY and changed hands from UPS to USPS. I saved a copy of that to my computer too for proof.

Stolen mail, no recourse
December 29, 2021

My daughter mailed my irreplaceable bow which I purchased 17 years ago and is no longer made. She packaged it at the facility in view of the clerks which was obviously a big mistake, and when it arrived to me the box was empty. All that was in the box was the cloth sleeve it was wrapped in and someone had put a pink sticker on the box saying "received without contents". As you can imagine, I was devastated as there is no way to replace the bow and nobody at USPS cares that this packaged was obviously tampered with. The tear in the box is not large enough for the bow to pass through. How does a 25 inch 3 lb. 12 oz piece of beautifully machined aluminum just "dissappear". To make matters worse when my daughter went back to ask if anybody had seen or found it, she was called all kinds of names by the clerk who also immediately, without reason, accused my daughter of accusing them of stealing which was absolutely false. Why was this person so defensive? How does a bow get out of a taped package through a tear smaller than the object? How is it that just the sleeve the bow was wrapped in remain in the still taped box? Why would anybody "retape" an empty box? None of it makes sense. Something isn't right and USPS has only offered a fraction of what it was insured for. I couldn't even pay for shipping from Italy to US for my Italian bow for what they offered. Fedex scans every package as it goes on and off each truck. It scans every package it receives as it comes in and leaves. Couriers empty their trucks and anything left like this would be given to the proper person to ensure anybody looking for it would get it back. It seems to me that this facility and USPS is woefully lacking proper security and they just don't care who they hurt. Judging by the other reviews of this facility, I am not the only one questioning the integrity of what might be happening to "missing contents" at this facility. Isn't it time the USPS Postmaster General inspector listen to people whose package contents have mysteriously "gone missing" at this facility to find out why? Beware. Isn't "tampering" with US mail a felony?

I now have 3 different occasions of ordering items and did not recieve them when I was supposed to. This is the 3rd time in 3 months that I've had to open an investigation on my items. The first two were for my wedding. The 3rd was for my cousins bridal shower. ALL IMPORTANT ITEMS WERE NOT DELIVERED! Nor was there up to date tracking. My items sat in a facility for God knows how long. I paid extra for shipping to arrive in 2 days and they never showed. Calling doesnt help because the lady that answered the phone had no idea where my items were. One of the items that didnt arrive on time was the backdrop to my wedding arch. That took 2.5 months to even arrive. $200 was completely wasted! USPS is the WORST delivery service! They get paid good money to do apsolutely nothing! I have left 3 bad reviews now and I'm being told that my reviews will be removed because I wont upload proof of purchase to a public website. There were investigations per ALL issues that I've had in which case, I should not have to submit proof of anything. I have a current investigation open as we speak!
