Only use uShip if you'd like your item to be stolen. It's nothing more than a hub for criminals to select what they want to steal from a list. Then they just go pick it up. It should be called WeSteal.
I contracted uship for a truck to be shipped on certain dates. A shipper took the offer and then after deposit was made shipper changed dates. I contacted uship and was told they could help. I had to leave on vacation late and go out of my way to get item shipped
I needed to ship a motorcycle from Reno to Tucson. I used uShip and another website to try to find shippers. I have to say, I got fewer quotes on uShip, but they were all serious quotes from apparently high-quality shippers. I wanted closed transport, but on the other site, I was overwhelmed by low-ball quotes for open transport. And many of them used identical language, leading me to believe they were bots, not real shippers. So if I had to do it again, I'd forget about the other site and just use uShip.
Ultimately, I found an excellent shipper on uShip and booked the deal. The site was easy to use, seamless on payment, etc. So I was very satisfied. The shipper did a fantastic job as well. As I mentioned, all of the shippers on uShip appeared to be serious shippers, and I certainly wasn't disappointed by the one I selected.
From booking to pick up to delivery, it was a simple process. James, of Driggers, arrived exactly when he was scheduled and delivered our mattress within three days. All went smoothly with no glitches. We wouldn't hesitate to hire James again. His price was very fair and his service was exemplary. Loved using Uship and James.
Uship was a great tool that helped me find the right boat transport for my boat. I put in my offer and received a dozen offers right out of the gate. Uship had all the reviews of each carrier which helped me narrow down my search. I paid on the Uship sight which went very smooth.
I could not be more pleased with the entire USHIP process from initial contact to final delivery and follow up. This Vendor exceeded my expecations as far as flexibility, communication, availability, "ease" of understanding shipping process and their educating me and managing my expections as a new shipper. Price was right, picking up and delivery timing was right, communication was right. It doesn't get any better. Thanks for making this so simple and easy. I have already initiated my next shipment with USHIP.
Shipped 3 custom motorcycles from Chicago to the Florida Keys. Site was easy to use and saved over 40% from the last service I used. The trick is to do your homework and check the feedback of each provider and to choose your provider off of this. Not necessarily the cheapest. Thanks!
I was a bit skeptical about shipping on a service that isn't a major moving company. I shipped a waverunner by trailer and Michael who is who I used. Was so great! Helped me get lights for my trailer and put them in for me. I did not know that were not working. He delivered on on time and contacted me through the whole process of where he was at and what time he would be delivering! I cannot say enough he was so great and if you need him to take anything for you. Use him for sure 👍
Uship allows ANYONE to become a transporter and if things go bad (which they usually do), uship states they are not part of that issue and pretty much to go pound sand. The amount of negative reviews is flabbergasting.
Their percentage is now 20% to transporter and roughly 20% to shipper, so in essence you are paying about 40% in fees using uship to post a load and get a phone number.
We ended up moving our shipping to www.motherload.app instead. They do not allow illegal transporters or brokers to bid on shipments.
Uship is a waste of your time and are basically wasting extra dollars towards your shipment. They have zero control over your shipment and are notorious for upcharging and kicking you to the curb while blaming the issues on the logistics company they are booking. Direct quote from a USHIP rep. "This is not a customer service type industry". Deal direct and save.
Hi Will,
Thank you for your feedback. We’d like to offer a bit more of an explanation of uShip’s role, including our services and limitations. -uShip is a neutral online marketplace where shipping customers and independent service providers can connect and enter into agreements. We’re not a transportation service provider, freight forwarder, or broker.
When booking there is a service charge paid directly to uShip. This is not a set fee, and is calculated based on the commodity you are shipping. The service charge is clearly listed along with the official quote price and total amount due on both active quotes and at checkout. The service providers also have a fee that is deducted from their total bid price submitted.
The only time a price can be adjusted post-match is when there are additional shipment details that come up after the bid is accepted. When this happens, the service provider may need to adjust the bid price accordingly. In situations like this, the best way uShip Member Support can assist is by opening communication with both parties so they can discuss a potential resolution.
If you'd like to discuss this further, please email support@uship.com. We're here to help, and being made aware of situations like yours is essential to maintaining and improving the safety of the uShip marketplace.

Avoid like the plague, they have the rudest customer service! They were completely unhelpful when my boxes arrived 3 weeks late. They take 20% of the pay for what, to do absolutely nothing and tell you they aren't liable for anything? They are the definition of an illegitimate business!
Stay away from this hauler, he damaged my 2 geldings and has no insurance at all and is hauling commercially illegally. His DOT authority has been revoked and they are about to shut him down. Stay away from this hauler!
This was my first time shipping anything this large - a 12-seat shuttle bus I purchased as an auction in Orlando, FL and I needed trailed up to Atlanta, GA.
The process of listing my shipment, getting quotes from prospective service providers, asking & answering questions, and selecting & paying for the service was very easy through uShip.
When I have another large item to ship I'll definitely consider using uShip again.
The financial portion of the transaction went well and deliver was good, I knew when he was going to come and we got it off loaded fine even though we couldn't start the machine.
Hi Brett,
Thanks for taking the time to share your positive experience. We truly appreciate it and hope to work again with you in the future!
The Good: Very good customer service. Timely follow up. Very helpful to individual needs and concerns.
The Bad:
I was advise of a price to pay and I sign a payment bill for less than I was quoted for. I was very happy and excited that I was saving a couple of dollars, instead I am told I have to pay the original amount I was quoted for and not the bill I signed for.
I was mad due to the lack of properly conveying the exact amount I was to paid. No fault of customer service, but I do hold accountable the people that are dealing with the account that handles the money.
As a customer the $ we spend for your services should be clear with no hidden costs. I was very disappointed. My personal view.
Overall the car I shipped got there in a timely manner and my daughter who received the car is very happy. AND that makes up for the bad experience with uShip.
I engaged in Uship's service to transport my BMW from a dealership to my San Diego home. Unfortunately, the experience was subpar – lack of communication, a significant delay in delivery, and the delivery occurring in the dark. Despite paying extra for coverage, my car arrived with a cracked back window. I reached out to the BMW dealership and they said there was no broken windows on the car. The shipper refused my claim, stating it wasn't their responsibility. I've contacted the BBB and plan to involve the district attorney's office in Austin, Texas. This seems like an insurance issue, and I'm dissatisfied with the service provided.

My shipper contacted me early in the process to verify pickup time and delivery. She was very conscientious and cared to make sure my furniture was delivered quickly and safely. The site was easy to navigate.
Hi Lee,
Thank you for your review! We’re happy you are satisfied with your experience. We look forward to working with you again in the future.
This was the first time I used Uship. I was very happy that it was very easy to set up the account and initiate the process. I was very happy to receive a few bids, and I selected a terrific shipper who completed everything flawlessly.
Hi Brian,
Thank you for sharing your great first-time experience with uShip! Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we appreciate your trust in our services. We look forward to serving you again in the future.
The uShip process was very effective to locate and engage a trucker to ship our van to FLA. The bidding process worked well to lower the cost and communication was excellent through the entire process.
Very usefull website, it's a great place for carriers, brokers, and dispatcher. You will find people according to your search criteria and you can even make bids on your shipments. Gives you the flexibility to negotiate your shipment, I was glad that i found this website and specially the people for my shipment, they even made me a favor. I gotta say USHIP is a very reliable website.
