I ordered bison boots and socks in April it must now jiune 18th and still no boots and last I heard from my tracking number they are still at LA harbor. I get go around emails from the company. Never again
The tracking information I was given now states that they were shipped May 3rd (23 days AFTER I ordered them) from CHINA and are now in Ocean Transit (yes, by f**king boat). So either I can expect these boots sometime in July or I have just kissed $59.99 goodbye. I would recommend everyone who is having the same issues to file a complaint with the FTC so at least their website can be marked as fraud and be taken down in the U.S.
This company/website a scam. Do not place orders or you will wait indefinitely for an update and the order will never arrive. If you wanna kiss $60 away, donate it to your favorite charity instead.
Saw their promo ad on IG, purchased boots mid April. My bank immediately sent me an alert regarding the transaction because it was international. Weird, they're clearly branded to LOOK North American but then again there's no location info anywhere on the site. Did I just fall for a Chinese IG scam? Nope, just a Spanish IG scam. I got a "welcome to the family" email and for some reason they include their location on that, weird. Out of caution, I tried to cancel my order. This was within 20 minutes of purchase. My request was ignored. The next day I got a shipping number... which didn't work, because it was never sent. So I start looking into this company. And now my suspicions are confirmed. The site was made a month before my purchase, but they feature reviews from many months in the past. They're all fake. But hey, even the Chinese scammers actually send a product, so I tell the company that the tracking code doesn't work. This time they respond and tell me they'll fix it. WOW! They did, they generated the tracking number a month later!... and nothing has happened since then. It's been three more weeks (over about 7 weeks total now) and they haven't delivered anything to their local post office or courier to be shipped.
Long story short, this is a scam. 100%. Fake reviews, non-existent product. They're just stealing your money. $70 lesson I'll take to heart
The tracking number they provide doesn't update. Even after a week from their shipped notification e-mail. All you get is excuses when you message them. Just a scam.
I originally thought it was a scam too. Here is a message that I received this evening when I inquired about my shoes. Maybe I will receive them soon.
After waiting almost 2 months, the shoes finally arrived today. I'd actually given up hope a month ago, and so the package arriving today was a complete surprise. The parcel itself had two different labels. The label underneath didn't track, but the one on top did. Backtracing, apparently after arriving at a warehouse in LA in late May, the package sat there for almost a month until it was sent to a shipping partner in La Puente (also LA) until being mailed earlier this week. So much for these kinds of orders. While the company may be completely out of the logistics loop here, they have to take some of the blame for who they chose to deliver their product. Anyway, all's well that ends well and the original tracking number? Neither of the labels had that number, so there would never have been a way to track the package. "When you absolutely, positively need it there" At least once USPS finally got the package they delivered it the next day. So be patient if you're still waiting, you may yet get a surprise in the mail like I did today. The shoes themselves are nice. They seem to be well built, and they're lined with faux fur, so they could almost be slippers around the house. Sizing is good, and they're comfortable out of the bag. So the company is for real, the product is for real, and the logistics - well, that's a mess. Good luck!
THIS IS A SCAM DO NOT FALL FOR IT. You will never get your order, or a refund. They won't reply to you through email or social media. Do not mess with them. I lost a lot of money by falling for their scam.
Paid $90 for shoes and socks on 4/15/20 and still nothing. A couple emails promising they are on the way but looks like they are thieves. Like everyone else, I advise you don't fund this fraud.
Crap. I ordered these because they looked cool. They send you a tracking number that doesn't update. They don't really answer emails. No Boots. No money back.
Have contacted them several times and have only received lip service that they are on their way. Close to)0 days now and NO SHOES!
Total Scam Operation
I ordered my shoes on April 22nd and they just arrived today (June 11th). Haven't worn them yet, but the quality seems sketchy at best. Oh well, at least my 60 bucks paid for something!
I contacted customer service twice, first asking if they could provide an update other than ocean transit, funny thing is they have a California address so it actually looked like it went from CA to somewhere in the Ocean. I thought it was odd, but was contacted rather rudely back that they were in ocean transit and that should make me feel better- it didnt. Ordered them in March and end of June just got them. Asked a second time for a refund and they said they couldnt do that. You probably will eventually get the shoes you ordered so I wont say its a scam but best to avoid if you want to enjoy what you paid for. They offered no shipping date in the ordering process and say that it is a US based company so figured a week or so for shipping- maybe 2-3 weeks max. I did not know it would need to go from customs nor be on a boat for 2 mo. For the shoes themselves- would not even recommend. They talk on the webiste like they are high quality its pretty low quality for $60. The sole is pretty thin and I dont think they will last long.
I ordered the product on March 1. It shipped on the 3rd. According to the terms and conditions, once the product ships, it must arrive within 15 business days. It arrived on business day 17 on March 22.
I will not accept excuses that "customs" could cause delays as this is a company that claims to be in France. There are no customs within the EU. Nowhere on their website do they state that their factory is in China.
The "shoes" arrived in a package that looked like it had been kicked around a football field for a week, then chewed and vomited by a horse.
Then, when the package was opened, it was clear I had purchased fake "slippers", not shoes. It is not made of leather and the soles appear to be made of cheap plastic, not rubber.
The terms & conditions are a violation of EU consumer law on several accounts.
1. OULOS cannot refuse to refund the customer if:
(i) the product is damaged or (ii) *IT IS COUNTERFEIT*.
2. The same goes for the cost of shipping the product back. OULOS refuses to reimburse those costs. If the product is damaged or counterfeit, the shipper *MUST PAY*. OULOS claims to be in France. They must follow French and EU consumer laws.
I see on the reviews that someone is trying to start a class-action lawsuit. I doubt this will come to fruition. However, I will be reporting this company to the EU Consumer Protection Agency.
I am going to try to get some compensation via my credit card company. I have sent a detailed email to the company but I do not expect a reply or solution.
Just be aware that this company is a total scam from A to Z. They are NOT located in France and even though they write that they are.
Bought shoes 3 weeks ago have not gotten or received email answer for hold up. Look at name of company O U LOS meaning you lost your money. Buyer be ware scam and ripe off
Was sent a fake tracking number and only receive automated messages. The Facebook page is full of similar stories. This company needs to be held accountable.
Its a scam dont buy they keep saying the package is lost and keep wanting to resend its been 3 times they talking about package lost and resend
Have we all been scammed? Ive been waiting 43 days and the product still hasn't arrived at USPS or has a projected delivery date.
If I ever receive the goods that I paid for, what would happen if the shoes had a defect for some reason (it happens with all manufacturers), I'm assuming there's not a return policy that would ensure I get my money's worth anytime this year? Where's the accountability?
I have reached out to customer service twice and was informed that they are affected by COVID-19 and OULOS are not to blame for shipping delays. Which is crazy, because an online retailer, without a brick and mortar HQ, should be competent in providing transparent and reasonably efficient order fulfillment.
I ordered these shoes 5 weeks before a camping trip, and wanted to support a small and growing business, instead of a larger retailer that ousts small businesses from the market. I should have done better research though, because this is not acceptable at all.
If you have the product in stock and you have accepted my payment; then it shouldn't take 43 days and counting before it even reaches a postal agency like USPS.
Close your business down until you can fulfill your outstanding orders. Or, just refund me as I've previously requested. The way this company operates does a disservice to the people that produce your product (if there even is a product! Every other reviewer believes this is a straight-up scam!)
Shame.
Ordered April 17, After emailing this fake company AGAIN, I started getting fake tracking updates, saying it was released at LAX on 5/20. Today is June 16. Now there is no info on the tracking!
Ordered on 4/17, email saying order shipped on 4/18. Tracking number never worked until about 5/15, stated in ocean transit from China!. Now, no shoes and tracking number says not found again! Don't waste your $60 like I did!
Answer: Unfortunately. Very cheaply made with zero support or padding. It's like walking in stiff plastic handbags with completely flat soles as hard as whatever you walking on, like pavement or concrete. Wore them 1 time. Uncomfortable all day.
Answer: Good question. If these shoes could've been bought elsewhere such as Zappos or Amazon, it would've a better choice as far as actually getting the shoes in a timely manner.
Answer: They are legit but if you want your shoes before Christmas ( writting this in almost July) I would avoid, not worth the money anyway
The company faces significant challenges regarding customer satisfaction, primarily due to prolonged shipping delays and poor product quality. Many customers report waiting several months for their orders, often receiving items that do not match their expectations in terms of materials and craftsmanship. Complaints about inadequate customer service, including unresponsive communication and ineffective return policies, are prevalent. While a few customers express satisfaction with their purchases after long waits, the overall sentiment leans heavily towards disappointment, indicating a need for improved transparency, product quality, and customer support to enhance their reputation.
