Easirent's reputation is predominantly negative, with numerous customers expressing frustration over hidden fees, poor customer service, and operational inefficiencies. Common complaints include long wait times for vehicle pick-up, lack of transparency regarding additional charges, and unhelpful staff. Many customers reported feeling misled by advertised rates that ballooned with add-ons. While a few customers noted the affordability of initial rental prices, the overall sentiment highlights a significant dissatisfaction with the company's practices and support, leading to a strong recommendation to seek alternatives for car rentals.

My experience is similar to that of other reviewers: rented a car for one thay for $51 (prepaid) through carrentals.com which is an expedia site, reading through carefully the terms before reserving. I was lucky with their shuttle as i only had to wait for about 30-35 minutes. Arriving at the rental site a lady was just exiting the office saying out loud to the customers waiting in line "you are all crazy to rent from these people". That's when my alarms started ringing...
At the counter I was told they won't give me the car unless i buy their insurance for $65, which is a condition i can check on their own homepage and they don't care what the expedia terms were. I just took their shuttle back to the airport and rented a car from Alamo, which was a smooth and nice experience with no hidden costs. Same $65 (I'm never getting back the original $51 i prepaid) but at least my additional money didn't land with jerks.
Story also says some things about expedia, have to be more careful in the future who i deal with through them, will certainly not trust blindly any company they offer me from now on.
Save your time and money! Waited over 2 hours for a car. Complained to the company and they told me there is nothing they can do. This is ridiculous. The money savings isn't worth the headaches! Do not use this company!
Very poor customer service had to wait over an hour for a rental car, and as if that was not enough the sales rep tried to sell us gap insurance which you don't need for a rental car. I contacted the manager and she promised to give me a refund and this has been since July 2021 did not see anything yet after numerous attempts letting her know I did not receive my refund. She claims she resubmitted my claim and now she's not responding to my emails, stay away from this company they are bad news.
I got a Nissan Sentra SV for from you guys and between few hours of driving the car engine light came on the dashboard is filled with malfunction signals, I have called more than 10 times the refuse to pick my calls and I have attached the picture and video recording I did. I haven't used the car for 24 hours and all this is happening. You guys know that you playing games with people's life and I wonder how you still in business.
I paid for 4 days from a Friday to Monday because I pick up Friday at 10:00 and returned Monday at 9:30 pm, but they still charged ne a late return fee. Customer service so rude.
Waited with 5 other people at shuttle zone at the airport for our car rental pickup from Easirent. 1 of us had actually paid in full prior to getting the cars, the rest of us were paying upon pickup. We waited outside at the shuttle pickup for an hour - all the while making phone calls to to Easirent office where nobody answered the phone. Meanwhile watching every other car rental company on the planet at least 2 times, sometimes 3. I gave up by 10 pm and walked further down the line to grab a taxi at an absurd rate to get to my hotel. Called first thing in the morning to find out what happened. Manager not available to talk, but CSR would definitely leave a note detailing what happened... CSR also kept repeating that the shuttle goes through every 30 minutes... I told her the driver must have taken a nap or gone home early. NEVER AGAIN.
I booked a car from Priceline. First, I gave them my driver's license from Florida. 1 hour later finally arrived at this office to find out that a Florida resident can not rent a car there. It's hard to believe been in Miami airport. Allianz took 39 dollars insurance and now I need to deal with them for the refund.
How come PRICELINE, his vendor doesn't know that ridiculous policy and redirects the customer to another rental company?
I end up getting my luggage back to the airport and rent in another place. After this experience, I will not trust Priceline and consider the name EASIRENT a joke.
I rented and pre-paid for a car in July of this year for October the 15th of this year for three nights. When I arrived on the 15th to get the car (did I mention that I had already pre-paid for this car) I was told that they rented the car to someone else because I was a couple of hours later than I had said I would be when I made the original booking. Michael offered no options for me Nor would he refund me the money is that I had given him back in July and seem to have a hard time understanding why I was so upset even after he told me that "it was a numbers game". Not sure what that means but I think that it means that it is a numbers "scam"
Arrived at Heathrow and missed their HOURLY shuttle by 5 minutes. It then stopped at all the hotels on the way to their portacabin office staffed by a rude man. We were told to wait in line but the people at the front of the line had already been there for 2 hours. We cancelled our rental as we could not wait and it looked like they did not have a car for us anyway. DO NOT RENT FOM THESE PEOPLE.
Easirent is the "Spirit of airlines." They nickel and dime you... especially with the tolls (ridiculous... $25/day or $10 each day of having the car). Car had dents all over it. I am glad I looked at the car because the check in guy was having me sign and drive off. I will NEVER get another car from this company again.
Michael went beyond our expectations by upgrading us to an SUV and then when we return our car we were going to be late and he drove our vehicle to the airport instead of waiting for the van!
DO NOT Rent from this company! They will over charge you and they have bad attitudes. They checked my car in early and I was still driving the car and charged me 66.60 for gas and I had a full tank when returned the car now they getting me the run around a trying to get my money back
Booked through Priceline ind this is what they gave me. 45 minutes waiting for shuttle and then no name on the van. Very high step. I had no clue how I would get in. He wanted to push me up and in! I am a senior disabled woman and he wants to push me in? He put his hand on my back and was shocked at the lack of common decency. No man should ever touch a woman's back of a stranger. Train you people before you have a lawsuit for sexual assault. Then he suddenly found a step stool which kept collapsing. After finally getting there I waited another 45 minutes with nothing happening. I pre signed in and they still asked for the same information twice. I even scanned in my license and insurance card but they still wanted to do it again. I was then told that f I don't pay them $50 for a transponder I will be charged $25 for any toll I go to even if I pay cash. Then they said they are holding $250 for three-five business days AFTER I return the car. No way in hell! What if the next person who uses the car gets into a crash? I've never returned a rental car without the car being thoroughly checked out for damage, gas level, etc. I can't wait to see what happens when I return the car.
STAY AWAY. ITS NOT WORTH THE SAVINGS.
Luis and Tonya was AMAZING IF WE COULD GIVE THEM 100 STARS WE MOST DEFINITELY WOULD. WE HAVE GOT TO OUR LOCATION WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS HE WAS SUPER FRIENDLY AND NICE. We would definitely be back very soon and we finally found our new car rental spot
HORRIBLE. Where do I even Begin. Well, I won't rehash the other 4 reviews, I will just add to them. Everything that was written in those reviews is true. We waited a good 30 minutes for the shuttle, with about 10 other people who had been waiting longer. We arrived to the place and knew it would be a long wait if we didn't get inside first. We rushed out of the van and were first on line, greeted by an arrogant, snotty, rude woman. The other 9 or so patrons had to put their names on a list and wait. There was only one person, this woman, behind the counter. She rattled off the same BS rip-off others here complained about. But then she asked for Proof of insurance. While we tried to get the Geico app up, the phone was responding slowly, I asked for the wifi information. NO WIFI! So now the phone is spinning, spinning, waiting, waiting... and I commented that I have never had to show proof of insurance to ANY rental place ever (they demanded FULL COVERAGE, mind you, which we had. But they can NOT require us to carry collision and comp). She had the nerve to say "It's in the rental agreement if you had just read it" with her snotty attitude. Firsly, we booked priceline and never say the darn thing, and second. Who READS THAT? The thing should have LARGE RED LETTERING IN 34 FONT THAT YOU NEED TO SHOW PROOF OF INSURANCE. Well, time was dragging and I felt the ire of others waiting so i turned to them to explain what was going on. They all FREAKED OUT that they needed to show proof of insurance and started making calls. At this point, the SNOTTY, ARROGANT woman accused me of "Starting a rukus in my lobby, and I am going to throw you out of here". At this point, she called in a "manager". I could go on and on. But this fellow was no better. I tried ending this horror of a transaction nicely wishing him a nice day and so forth... but just received another pile of snot. Bottom line here. Do not rent for these jerks. And I surely will be contacting Corporate about them.
August 4th they drove right past me in designated car rental shuttle area. Waited another 45 minutes to get next shuttle. When arriving they delayed rental pick up because they had no cars! Then charged me $45.00 for " breach of contract" for showing up late and to rewrite contract. I showed up and they contributed to late arrival. I Filed Federal Trade commission complaint, Better Business Bureau complaint ( they still refuse to answer my complaint and maybe 190 others liste at BB) and I filed credit card dispute.
They are an elaborate con artist car rental agency! STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE FOR YOUR OWN PROTECTION.
STAY AWAY! This is the worst place ever! Very unprofessional! I rented a car from Tampa. First off it's not at the airport. We waited 1 1/2 hours because when we first arrived they had 1 person plus the "manager" working. We first declined sun pass which is 10.00 a day! The "manager" told us that none of the tolls are manned and we would be fined 25.00 for each toll we went through. So we decided we better get the sun pass. We went through 2 tolls, both had people working. So we basically gave Easirent 55.00 free! We got a car which on the first day the malfunction light came on. I tried calling but nobody ever answers at the location. We drove 20 miles back to the location the next day, which the "manager" didn't think was a big deal! Not quite in my vacation plans! We were told well we aren't one of the bigger car rental companies. We don't have people that can drive out to bring you a different car. I asked what happens if the car breaks down, he said just call us I replied nobody answers the phone! He said it would go through to corporate! They gave us another car which was fine the rest of the week! It was a headache from the time we arrived! There seemed to be a problem with every person renting. I would not give 1 star! Also before writing this review I called Easirent to express my displeasure and the guy hung up on me! The only positive thing I can say is the person driving the shuttle was the nicest man!
Rented a car from Easirent through Carjet, arrived at the airport, started ringing them to be collected as their office is offsite. No one answered, we took a taxi to the office and guess what, it was closed. We came back the following day to collect the car and it turned out they dont accept American express card. They still went ahead and invoices Carjet the whole amount, over a 1000 euro including insurance. I have instructed a solicitor to deal with the case.
I was so disappointed to get to the rental place thinking I owed@ $160 only to have the salesman tell me that it was the law that we get their insurance even though I had insurance through Priceline & that they also had more fees including a $250 deposit that could take up to a month to get back or if we didn't have that, then a $50 non-refundable deposit. We ended up paying $331. We were so tired from traveling all day that I was worried that if I refused the insurance & deposit we would be asked to leave. (Outside the store is not a friendly place & I was by myself with three kids.) We pay, go outside to the car and as soon as we open the car doors the smell of marijuana comes wafting out. I felt so intimidated after the salesman ordeal that I just wanted to leave. We left the windows cracked & put an air freshener in the car & it still reeked a when we returned it. As we are driving off we can't even see clearly out of the windshield because it is so dirty. I wanted to cry. It was a horrible experience. I paid double the price I was quoted online & am truly disappointed. I will definitely go with a better-known company next time.
Answer: They take forever to answer the phone I had to keep calling until some one answers.
