Before deciding between the mystery box saber and the grab bag saber, I read a lot of reviews from a few different websites. The general consensus was that others received awesome sabers from the mystery box, a good portion having sound and nearly all valued at way above the $75 price tag. And for only $5 more than the grab bag it seemed like the better option. I received the Dark Sentinel V4 which looked like a slightly cooler Mag-light. It sells for about $69, which is under the guaranteed $75. After more careful comparison I realized that the guarded activation switch was upgraded to a plain black AV switch which barely pushed the price over the $75 threshold. I am in the process of modifying it myself, and it is looking awesome, but it did not come that way. The battery pack being loose described by others is also an issue with mine, but that can be easily remedied so I do not really have an issue with that. Technically, Ultrasabers came through on their guarantee, but be aware that the multitude of positive reviews about amazing sabers are ONLY from the few that received them. It seems like the ones who received mediocre sabers with a single marginal upgrade don't post reviews. Don't get me wrong, the Dark Sentinel has tremendous potential and is still really cool, it's just that if you get your hopes up that you will be the lucky one to get a $200 saber you will most likely be disappointed. Think of the mystery box as a good base for your own mods and you will not be disappointed and if you are one of the lucky few to get a premium hilt or one with sound, all the better. Also, after reading many reviews AFTER I received mine, it appears that the majority of people who ordered around Christmas time, as I did, received the same Dark Sentinel V4. It may be that the order volume was so high that we were unlucky recipients of a surplus dump so the chances of receiving a higher priced saber may be greater away from the holiday season. Overall, I was initially disappointed, but that was due to my own self-delusion. A few weeks later I am satisfied, but will never again purchase around Christmas time and will most likely save up a little longer to purchase the exact model I want.

Aesthetically they cannot be beat, absolutely beautiful saber. The light is bright, sound is loud and accurate, however, with the saber I purchased and received, in my eyes the build quality is subpar. After only a day or two of playing with it, note by "playing with it" I mean pushing the on and off button, the switch now shakes in it's housing and the battery is drained after a day (of not being used). Looks great, but I am disappointed with it's function, especially when I paid $593.94 for this saber (Emperor's hand).

Ultrasabers are very well made. The Initiate V4 has a great feel to it and is very sturdy. It looks beautiful, and the lighting is very smooth throughout the blade.
They are well-balanced and have held up to the sparring of me and my brothers, and they made great gifts, as well!

The only downside is that the internal battery pack is kind of loose. I just shoved a tissue up around it, and it fixed it right up. Also, the blade has a tiny ring at the tip, where the cap connects, that doesn't reflect the light as smoothly as the rest of the blade. It is small and entirely unnoticeable from anything farther than an arm-length away.

There are no sharp edges, the button is very solid, so I don't have to worry about it breaking. The LED is well-mounted and doesn't shift at all.

Overall, it is a fine product, and I will definitely return to Ultrasabers If I decide to enhance it to a double-blade!

Had a little longer wait then expected and had to send a few emails to find out when my item would be dispatched little dissapointed that it took so long to dispatch but it was a busy time christmas and the latest star wars film came out around the same time so lesson to myself order in more time. Partner was very happy with the end product we brought the mystery box and they shipped it very quickly in the new year will definatley order from them again correspondence was very good with the time difference :)
