First off: Lightsaber looks & sounds great! Quality work! I used to own custom sabers in the late 2000's when they first started coming out & we thought those were amazing. Nothing compared to these. Ultra Sabers are movie quality! Once you download and get to know the controller program it's easy to use & gives you about every option to customize the saber you can think of, all the way down to your own sound patterns. Depending on how far you go with parts they can be pricey but I assure you if you're a lifer SW fan it's absolutely worth every penny!
Second: The Diamond Saber direction booklet can either use some updating or at least some rewording. It's helpful for 90% of everything but the startup/program process & how important it is to do it correctly as to not corrupt your sabers system. The Website videos are 101% vital to getting the saber & controller program downloaded & working properly, the direction book DOES NOT explain all the steps necessary. And don't skip ahead, follow him step by step in the setup process (I even paused & replayed parts to make sure I did it right). My issue was my saber couldn't to the program, so I emailed customer service, & though she was quick to respond & polite, the info was not helpful at all. The 3 suggestions she gave me were literally among the first things I tried to fix the problem + I literally repeated to the max, among other things I tried, that it was not a battery charging, usb cord, or outdated system problem that was causing it not to connect. That way I figured at least they know those weren't the issues causing it, that way I didn't get the obvious problem fixing answers. So even though I said I tried them many times those were the only ideas she gave me LoL... almost like a spam response. So I re-rewatched the setup video & got to the bottom of it, so the connection issue was easily fixed. I bought a top dollar, everything on it diamond saber so if you get one absolutely FOR SURE watch the video explaining how the program downloads, connecting the saber the first time, etc step by step (depending on your computers OS adjust for what the program screens look like in the video compared to yours as they have been updated). Watch them all, but the next important is how to use the controller program on your computer.
So yeah, overall once you push past the downloading/startup stuff, if you even have the same prob, the Sabers are the closest you'll get to the real deal. We already have both the designs & dates for ordering our next two! Then when not being used make sure to have some sort of a way to display it on your wall or table.
