This was UltraSabers #6 and #7 for our family. While expensive, you cannot beat the quality here. My family has been smashing theirs against each other for a long while now (aided in their technique by a local Karate studio, that introduced us to Ultrasabers to begin with.

The cost relative to quality has actually improved in that time - it's now possible to get a larger variety of more detailed sabers at a lower price point then it was, and the quantity of options and parts has increased dramatically as well!

Indeed, I have been generally overall very pleased with UltraSabers as a vendor.

My one complaint stems from the fact that several of my lightsabers have been ordered with a smaller-than-normal length blade. This is due to the fact that all four of my children have now been gifted an UltraSaber, in what has become a sort of rite-of-passage moment for them.

With my last order, as my older children are more formally coming of age, I wanted to order some additional full size saber blades. On the website I was able to find 40" blades just fine! However, measuring the pair of fullsize blades on my wife's sabers, the length came out to 32". I am unsure what the 'standard' blade length is, or should be, and the website made it impossible to find this information for myself.

On top of that the hilts, being immaculately made of metal, are extremely heavy. This can make it harder for the Padawans and Younglings in my family to wield them.

Aside from that, this is a 12/10 experience! The fact that my children want to use them should tell you everything you need to know. Of particular note is the quality of the light distribution in the blade. Even when some of the blade material has wrinkled or fallen out, you cannot tell. In fact waving this around in the dark or in a low light situation they are indistinguishable from the movie special effects! The light quality and blade quality is so high they actually look real!

The durability is excellent as well - we buy stunt sabers (no sound) and smash them against each other pretty hard. The only issue we have run into is with the earlier sabers, we buy AAA battery powered sabers so we can swap the batteries out easily. Sometimes doing so will knock a battery out of alignment, either deactivating the blade or changing the color. We have solved this by wrapping simple electrical tape around the batteries.

However! UltraSabers has apparently been made aware of this issue, though not by me, and our newer versions of the sabers have been shipped with a strap of Velcro already wrapped around the batteries! It's impressive to me that the company is still managing to find ways to improve the quality of my orders while also reducing the cost.

Additionally, the shipping this time was simply magnificent. I did not expect to receive my orders in time for Christmas, but this was fastest order to arrival shipping time I have ever received from UltraSabers. I do highly recommend that you order sabers plenty in advance of when you will need them. On one of our orders, where I had fortunately done this, I was contacted when something went wrong during manufacturing process to let me know they were correcting it by starting my build over to make sure it was a high enough quality. Great customer service here.

Finally, there is a customer loyalty program here where I have earned a boatload of points! This discount program makes the cost of sabers drop even further - my last order was significantly less then my first one, with many more products in it. Again, very happy with their price point relative to the quality.

If you are considering buying, find a friend or a local convention, and check one out in person. You will not be disappointed.

I look forward to many more orders with Lightsabers to train future generations of Jedi in my family - and the heirloom status that I hope these will obtain with my children.

I received my lightsaber, and I love it, but there was a problem. I had ordered a rounded blade screw and they had sent me the squared-off one, which I definitely didn't want. I also was under the impression my blade itself was the standard metallic interior one, but instead got the white interior one. (supposed to be a better upgrade, but really wanted the metallic one) I emailed the same day, asking for the right rounded screw and a replacement blade - I was willing to send the blade that came with it back. I never got a reply and so over the past 3 weeks have been resending my original email many times, hoping to get a response. I've still yet to receive a reply let alone the screw and blade. I'm not happy with the lack of responsiveness, although I do love my saber. Wish I could get the 2 items I'm due.
