The DRIVER cancelled my trip to get a more expensive fare, and I was charged for the cancellation. Uber refuses to refund my money to my bank account. This company is a very last resort.

On 8/17/20 I drove with Uber, which was quoted as an approx $14.90 trip, but I now, after reconciling my CC statement for August, find that I was charged surge x 4.8 for a total of $56.62. Total fare of ride $74.62.? This was not quoted to me and is a ridiculous cost for a regular distance fare of $7.88. I have been a long time Uber driver, but this is completely unacceptable. Needless to say will refute charge with CC Visa and my phone will be down one Ap. Love FLYT!

Cancelled Rides
August 23, 2020

For the third and final time I have deleted the Uber app due to trip cancelation. My most recent was a trip from MIA to home. Driver got lost in the airport, canceled and what should have been a $16 trip turned I to a $45 taxi ride.

We caught an Uber on a Friday night into the city to have dinner with friends. Then about 11:30pm I caught an Uber to get home. On Sunday evening I received an e-mail & call from Uber customer support that they ‘received a report from one of their drivers that my wife & I have acted in a threatening or violent way towards a driver while on a trip'. I was absolutely shocked, as both Uber trips we had nothing but pleasant conversations with both drivers. We were certain that the driver had us mistaken for another Uber trip. To be certain that the driver was not mistaken, I asked Uber to clarify with the driver. How many people were in the car, male or females, what was said, Uber did not relay this back to the driver in their investigation. The driver is still sticking with his slanderous allegations. Throughout Ubers investigation they had taken the side of the Uber driver. Cut the long story short, after Uber threatened all sorts of legal threats, it was our word against the driver. I want to warn potential Uber riders, that they could perhaps be the target of false, slanderous, defamatory accusations from certain Uber drivers. I did not matter what I said & how much I refuted the allegations against my wife & I. This ordeal was extremely stressful that a defamatory allegation could be fabricated. So please consider using alternative & more reputable rider share services. Perhaps taxis aren't that bad after all, they at least have cameras in their cars.

I called in because someone used my credit card account to take a ride. I called in three times: First call the guy Kunal left me on hold for about 20 minutes and the music that was playing stopped. Second time I spoke to a woman name Isabella Barrera who just kept telling me the same thing over and over about they don't support things like this. Third time Ronald Hernandez kept telling me the same thing as Isabella said and all I asked to do was speak to a supervisor but they don't seem to even understand that.

I strongly encourage any Uber customer to take a screenshot of each part of your transaction as you order and ride. It may be a little tedious but I'm sick of arriving at my destination and seeing an upcharge on both the ride and the tip. If I type in that I want to authorize a tip of $10, I don't want to see $10.25 on my receipt. If Uber chooses to be greedy by giving the driver $9.75 and keeping the $0.25 for whatever reason, that's a choice Uber makes. Screenshot each part of your transaction.

I use this service frequently. Unfortuneatly I keep getting charged 0.56 here and there for no reason. This company doesn't want to help you and it clearly shows as there's no general customer service line. Your issue has to be listed on the app. Just pick a random one and start complaining about your issue because they're all irrelevant anyways. Drivers for some reason are scared to approach my door or never arrive at my front door and I'm charged a waiting fee for it. Just stupid so I always end up desputing my wait time fee. This is a great service to use if you have money, but customer service is none existent.

Driver got lost

Driver got lost. Ended up going down a farm track totally unsuitable for his vehicle.
It was obvious from the route map after something had gone wrong. Obvious from the time taken for the journey. Obvious from the 33%higher charge than the estimate. Despite all this uber refuse to give any refund. Never mind compensate me for their driver taking me on an unsafe side trip. I have requested someone at a higher level to contact twice now but just get ignored.

Rip off!

Using the app is very misleading, when you schedule your trip they give you a quote. My quote was $34-$44. All said and done, they charged me $79! Reason was bogus, not enough drivers on the road yet, and we should have been told about it BEFORE the trip

No way to call Uber

Their app gives info how to contact them but when you follow their directions to go to help, then tap phone contact... THERE IS NO PHONE CONTACT. This company makes customer support difficult and nearly impossible. I'm going to start using Lyft instead.

I've been using Uber for 6 years with Diamond rating. Normally, when you tap your application to request for a ride, it will give you the normal price. Lately, after giving you the normal price of your trip but when it picks a driver, the price will change to, kid you not, 5 times! Worse than Halloween. I tried patiently to wait for 2 hours but it just keep going higher if not it will decrease but will tell you, "Pls confirm that you are accepting the higher price... 142 dollars for a 25 dollar ride.

Uber used to be a cheaper alternative to grossly overpriced taxis. Now they cost the same.
AND most importantly there is nor mechanism whatsoever for feedback on their service, only feedback on the drivers

I would like to give them a zero On July 11,2020 I'll order the Uber to go to work. I took the same route I take 3 to 4 times a week one of those days being Saturday morning at 7:15 AM. I didn't do anything different, we didn't take a different routes, no stops, not an upgraded vehicle. When I placed the order the price that showed was what I pay Every time. However this time I actually should've been a simple trip turned out to be an expensive one. Instead of my normal $16-$18 charge they charged me $30. I try to get a hold of them but to no avail. Yes, I have emailed them, but their response is or seems computer-generated. Each one basically telling me I am out of luck. I don't understand how they can treat a customer this way, any customer especially one that uses them frequently. But they've proven they don't care. It seems to be about the almighty dollar. I am a student trying to make ends meet. Like many other people I live paycheck to paycheck. I have no choice but to Uber because of where I live and where I work. However I am now gun shy I'm not sure that I ever want to use them again. They have refused to help me. Out right refused and told me that they appreciate my feedback but there's nothing they can do. Considering that they rely on their customers I find this very concerning. I'm frustrated, I feel taken advantage of, and there's nowhere that I can express my voice or concerns. Nachdem ich am Freitag in München für 7 ins Restaurant gefahren bin (Uber) hätte ich auf dem Rückweg mehr als 11 bezahlen müssen. Da wir uns die Fahrt zu zweit geteilt haben, war sie vorher so günstiger bzw. Gleichgünstig wie die Fahrt mit der U-Bahn. 11 hingegen war uns zu teuer und deshalb entschieden wir uns, auf dem Rückweg, die U-Bahn zu nehmen.

This company took actions without having evidence. My account was deactivated for 2 reports came from unreliable and lier customers lied about my driving. My rating was 4.93 with very good comments of the remaining riders. Uber never investigated and never mentioned in their guidelines a number of bad reports are requested to deactivated an account. I mean, even they do not have a clear criteria and neither have a training to remediate situations, instead they fired good drivers without having evidence of nothing. I am unemployed being a single mother with 2 kids and being this my only source of income and they deactivated my account without taking in consideration my good ratings, my good behavior and my good customer service, without showing real evidence about unprofessional riders with bad intentions who were bother because I did not follow their instructions which ones were against Uber guidelines and procedures. I will sue them definitely for such discriminatory and unfair action from Uber deactivated my account unfairly.

I've been missing ever since last May 2019. The rate started out at about 7:10 to drive less than 2 miles. Turned it on today to Uber home It's been a year and now it's over $10.52. That's over $5 A mile and a $1.50 A min and to top that off I have to wait 26 mins for my ride. I can't cancel or I'll be charged the fee anyway which is bull$#*!! There should be a way that I should know how long it's going to take for the person to get here that way if they're going to take a half an hour. I can decide whether or not I still need a ride not wait and find out after I have purchased the ride and then be told you got to wait a half an hour. And I don't want to wait the half-hour, but I can't cancel. Are you going to charge me for the ride? Anyway, your rates are ridiculous. It's less than 2 mi and I'm spending over $10. And the drivers don't even get the $10. So why are you charging extra fees when you're not giving there's extra fees to the drivers.

Just read a promotional ad from uber about how they support far left political policies. I'm so sick of businesses pushing their beliefs down my throat! Why can't they just provide a service and keep their agenda to their self! I'm now unsubscribed and will NOT use their service again!
