UBER KEEPS STEALING MONEY FROM ME
March 26, 2024

The first incident happened. I had two $5 off promo coupons in my account. I called to order food. The promo didnt work. I called Uber. (( I cannot stand their foreign cust serv rep they are so rude)) They swore up and down I didnt have the promos even though I looked at them in my acc for 3wks. She said Ill give u $5 credit and hung up on me. She never did. Calling these ppl to get any help is like calling Jesus waiting for a reply. U will go crazy trying to gt someone to call u bak or to speak to a manager. But I went to look back into my acc after speaking to a rep and they were gone. The two $5 promo that I saw in my account for 3wks ago are now gone. How? Uber lied and said that they cant delete anything out if ppl acc. LIEESSS. So 3days later I called for a ride to my chemo appt. It was $10.94. The driver couldnt find my house. I saw her pull up on the app and she set there. I called uber they hung up on me. I called the lady & she couldnt speak ENGLISH. What happened to hiring bilingual ppl? The lady pulled off. She still got paid and I was left at home w no chemo treatment and $2 that they refunded me. After I called and raised hell for a week ((which they dont like calling you back nor will the agent let a manager know to contact you. At all cost they will hang up on you and not care about taking your money)) made reviews a manager finally called me and gave me $30 credit on my UBER account. Okay Thanks. Im sitting at home because I cant work really I get biweekly chemo and take chemo pills daily. I ended up using the Uber cash for rides and food & it left me at $27 which left me with $3 in uber cash. This whole time Ive been using the Uber Cash it had no problem automatically taking the money from the Uber cash. I go into the app to order food. The order came up to $15 and change. I had about $12 on my bank card. I figured with the Uber cash that I wouod have enough. NO. UBER CHARGED ME 18 for a sandwhich was $7 and fries $4. Service fee $2.99 delivery fee was waived depending on the restaurant. NOW MY ACCOUNT IS IN THE NEGATIVES because uber cash didnt work ALL OF A SUDDEN the used all the Uber cash out of my bank which left me in a negative balance of $4 and change and Im being taxed $35 from my bank because of the over draft. How does a $11 and change meal get to $18? These people are thieves. AT THUS POINT IM DONE WITH UBER AND FOOD DELIVERY APPS. They have these foreign ppl who DONT GIVE A DAMN ABT THE CUSTOMER NOR DO THEY CARE ABT THEIR SERVICE. THEY TAKE UR MONEY AND WONT LET U SPEAK TO A MANAGER. IM literally thinking about taking them to court for my PAIN & SUFFERING. How can u take someones money & then tell them you cant speak to a Manager about the situation?

The thief, robber, charlatan, brazen, stupid, nasty and disgusting Uber
February 24, 2024

I have been working for Uber for more than 6 years, about 7 years, and during all this time I can't remember at least one month without Uber stealing my money at least 2 times. All this time, every month, Uber proved by its behavior that its need that I scold and spit on Uber every month, minimum 2 times, which is very pleasant for Uber. And thanks to Uber, I give Uber its most favorite pleasants at least 2 times a month, about 7 years.

About every theft and robbery of Uber, I personally report to TLC (TLC Atorney <*******@tlc.nyc.gov>, TLC DriverProtection <*******@tlc.nyc.gov>, *******@tlc.nyc.gov) and Dara Khosrowshahi Uber - CEO (*******@uber.com, *******@uber.com), but in vain, because after every complaint I make, Uber steals more.

In 2018 or 2019, Uber even stole my online tips given by my passengers and the toll fees I spent for completing an Uber trip.
On this occasion, I then went to TLC, met with attorney of TLC, but in vain, because attorney of TLC deceived me by saying that this lawsuit would last a long time, and there was no point in going to court, and as a result, Uber never returned this money to me, almost $650

On February 10,2024, the Uber again stole my $81.25 and I demanded Uber many times to give me a written explanation so that I would give it to Letitia James | New York State Attorney General, but nobody gave me that explanation.

On February 21,2024, the Uber again stole my $115.
$37, again for the toll fees I spent for completing an Uber trips, and about $78, my earnings for this trip (the duration of this trip was 59 minutes 21 seconds, and the distance was 27.5 miles).

Uber, you every day rob both your passengers and your drivers and for this many Uber passengers spat on Uber and now they use Lyft and other TAXI companies.
And many drivers also did the same, who no longer work for Uber for a long time.
Both passengers and drivers did the right thing.

I am also looking for another job so that I would also spit on Uber and work in another normal and good company, where I will earn normal money, no one will steal my earnings and rob my money every month, and I will not longer spoil my nerves.

There is absolutely nothing good about Uber other than its monthly robberies and thefts.

Bad and disappointed service
December 30, 2023

I wish I can give zero stars.
Let me start by saying after ordering nearly 500 orders via Uber eats and more than 1000 rides with Uber, I have now deleted my account with them.

Today I ordered food for my kids from Greggs. I put the order in at 2.20pm and about 10 min after they say the delivery guy is picking up my order. When it was about 2.45pm I wanted to cancel the order because I can see in the app that the delivery guy has been at the same spot for the last 15min and of course now by the time food now gets to me it cold and not fresh. The ETA time keeps on moving longer and longer. Bare in mind I have a child with learning difficulties who is waiting for his food.

By now I got another ETA update which now said that the ETA is at 3.15pm which by now was nearly an hour since I initially made the order. When I initially made the order it said on the app that the estimate delivery was 25min.

I now went into the chat app of Uber eats explaining to them the situation and asked for my delivery to be cancelled because it's taking too long.

The Uber eats app is not good at all. You send one message and then they will send you 5 to 6 messages at the same time which does not give you a chance to read all. I saw the message do you want to cancel and I said yes stating my reason and letting them know that the driver has been at the same spot which is not even at the restaurant for more than 20min. I then went through the thread and saw due to me cancelling they are charging me about £19. The food that I ordered was £20.

These people whoever dealt with my case has no shame. After they took my money without any investigation regarding the ETA closed the chat which did not allow me to chat any further.

I then called customer service which was no help at all. I then sent them an email a
Explaining that the ETA kept changing and driver was at the same spot for more than 20min and that I only saw that they will charge me after I went through the chat thread but they responded saying that I wanted to cancel and so they did and at the end of the response they said "no response needed".

How horrible and disgusting is this customer service. They did not even bother to investigate why the delivery driver accepted the job but stayed on the same spot for more than 20min. These horrible people did not even consider that that money they took was to buy a meal for my son with learning disability.

No investigation was made regarding the driver.

Many times I've ordered and I can see the driver took the job but the driver would take their own time to deliver. Many times my order is wrong, many times I receive an order where the food is spilled but I don't really complain but today this company has made a fool out of me and took money from me, money that was meant to buy my son a meal from his favourite restaurant.

I am extremely disappointed by this company, their customer service and their delivery service.

We are paying a fee, we are paying the drivers so why are drivers allowed to pick up your order when they feel like doing so. Why were their no investigation into the delivery guy's ETA or why was he at the same spot for more than 20min.

Uber Eats needs to know that their service is not free. We pay for the food and delivery service so why are we treated as if they are doing us a favour and as if the service is free.

As said I am so disappointed and disgusted with this company.

Uber - Driver cancels ride, to take advantage of more than doubled tariffs
October 8, 2023

To the attention of MR. Dara Khosrowshahi

Uber headquarters
1515 Third Street in San Francisco, CA.

Formal complaint against your company AND request for compensation

Dear Mr. Khosrowshahi,

I want to make you aware of your company, having 1) the most ignorant customer service on the planet and 2) the best software, to squeeze every single dollar from the pockets of those using your services.

On Sunday 10th September I landed in Austin from a very long flight, which started in the south of Italy. After getting the luggage, I ordered an Uber.

The initial price of the ride was booked at 21,78US$ and a driver was confirmed. (Attachment 01) As I walked under the 105F+ temperatures to the meeting point, your Uber driver (Joseph K) cancels the ride, with no explanation of any sort (Attachment 2 – sms cancellation)
There was no driver waiting for me at the meeting point, in temperatures above 105F and after 21 hours of travels among stinky people and crying Babies.

As I check both applications of Lyft and Uber (see attachment 3 – Lyft) both show prices above 52US$ for the SAME distance back home ( 11 miles). I did not manage to get your print screen.

This is the classic example of a scam company, in which the Uber driver (Joseph K in this case), decides not to provide the service he has committed to, because your app has detected a peak of people at the airport, and has immediately DOUBLED the prices to charge to those in need of a ride. John K had the chance to make twice the money for the same service. So do you.

And by the way: 52US$ over 11 miles is an absolute RIP off.

As a consequence I had to get a taxi, which cost me 49.05US$ ( Attachment 4)

In addition to this rip of and distress, we find it disconcerting that there is NO Way to contact Uber directly, if not leaving some Feedback to previous drivers ( clearly there is no drive booked on the 12th September, to provide feedback to!)

And to make things even worst, UBER customer disservice PRETENDS not to understand the problem and tells me, that the money were only: "temporary booked on my c card and that they got refunded". Three times. Completely off point. Copy and paste

This answer came 3 times in a row from employees all the way to (fake) managers, who – despite the extremely obvious case of spam slammed onto their face, pretended to understand a different problem (unrecognized charge) and provided a completely different answer. (Attachment 5 and 6. The third "interaction" I trashed)

Shameful

Requests:
1) Refund me the difference of money I had to pay because of this (27.27US$)
2) 50US$ as compensation for 30 mins waiting time
3) 200US$ as compensation for my work time invested in this case
4) Official letter of apology for those ignorant managers, who played the dumb role

Please send a total of back of 277.27US$ to my credit card on file, or send me a cheque to the following address (details hidden)

Uber sucks! The one star is because it won't accept a no star rating.
September 11, 2023

I ordered uber. I live in a apartment. I don't have internet on my cell. The order form had no instructions regarding where to pick me up or for me to leave a message for the driver. The email on my laptop indicated that the driver would provide me with details of pick-up area. I waited for that email which never came. I went outside and waited in the main driveway, thinking I would be hailed; because the parking lot is a private one, and why would a cab or any other pick-up service park in there. Nothing of that happened. After 10 min I went back to my apartment and found an email stating that I had cancelled the trip-driver, who waited 5 min then left. I was charged $25.20 to accommodate the driver. I tried to contact Uber's help source, and after an hour finally got through. Meanwhile I had filled out another request for the same destination, and on that order form there was a detail section for instructions. That trip went without a hitch. Then I tried a return ride, and the fellow there had a cell with internet, and we tried for a long time, and uber kept sending codes that I had to put in. The first code came on the cell I used. But for some reason it kept indicating that the code was wrong. I tried several different times, to no avail. I gave up and the fellow was kind enough to drive me to a bus stop several miles away. When I got home, there was an email waiting, stating I had cancelled the trip that I could not access, and was charged $20 something for that. I had another boat to view on Sunday and tried uber again. On Saturday I ordered the go to trip and this time I included a return trip 4-5 hours later. This time, there was NO confirmation email at all. Early Sunday morning I contacted Uber help by way of a 800 # and could not understand much of what the guy was saying for he spoke poor Inglish and spoke so fast, that I had to ask him to slow him down. He gave me some directions as to check for my trips. Doing that I found myself upon the same pages where I was stuck before and could not access any trip info.
I tried to log-in, but it would not accept my password. Frustrated, and thinking that the trips were NOT booked, since I received no confirmation emails/phone call, I proceeded to order a local cab company for the 2 trips. The cab picked me up without any trouble and halfway to my destination I get a call from a uber driver, asking me if I forgot about the ride. I told her the above story, and how unimpressed I am with uber.
4-5 hours later the same cab driver picked me up as requested and had no issues at all. When I got home, I had emails awaiting me stating that I was charged for 3 cancelled trips, totaling around $75.00. I won't have to tell you that I will use the local Whalley Cab Company, and uber can go somewhere where the Sun don't shine! As a senior I am appalled with their lousy service and lack of communication on their website and the driver. It seems that nowadays the customer is no longer King, but companies are and make websites convenient for them, as not to be bothered, having to answer/email complaints or even just to help when a potential customer gets stuck on their improperly/complicated order forms set-ups.

Never again Uber App
August 17, 2023

Uber was good until it wasn't. The test is when things don't work, and man did it fail. Tried to order a ride for my son, which I have done many times from the app, from one address to another, which I have also used many times (over 10 times from this address). Also have used Uber for a ride. Today I was on the side of a road, also on a jobsite working, with inspectors and clients present. Went to my car to get my kid a ride - 45 minutes later utter failure. App only loaded some addresses, and kept kicking back to the address where I was, even though I was ordering a ride for someone else (which did I say I have done many times before?). Anyway, no way to order a ride, and then chat is useless because they say uninstall and reinstall. So my kid missed his train to my house, and there is traffic like crazy and did I say I was at work? With clients and inspectors? No way to leave and no way to drive to him and no way to get a ride. No phone number. SO - if you are going to INSIST on an app based web based product - IT SHOULD WORK. How terrible that you insist on one way that DOESN'T WORK. Totally annoyed with Uber and created a total mess and I HAD to be a work and that got messed up as a result. NEVER EVER EVER using UBER again. They can forget it. I'm going to use ANYONE else but them. PROOF OF PURCHASE? Would be nice, except the damn app didn't work. I'm on the side of the road, working, with my kid calling me, and I don't have the time or ability to fiddle with taking screen shots and trying to send to UBER which they don't acknowledge by the way. No way to show proof of purchase because the order DIDN"T GO THROUGH. Which is the whole entire problem. Terrible company. Bye UBER.

Tip for consumers:

Uber app needs to get it together. Lame service - what an utter failure

Stupid promo codes
July 1, 2023

Yesterday I sat on my account that I had paid for plenty of uber rides with a $2 in Uber cash and I was in Uber One customer but I never done a delivery order I literally had five freaking promos on there a couple that I found and a couple that were already on there so they automatically should have been working not one single one worked I tried a couple different grocery stores I tried four different fast food places they were all useless even though they said that they were already applied to my account and they were active they were ready to go but as soon as I would go check out promo was not applied same s*** different day I reached out to somebody just a few days about this and all I got was I'm going to send you to a higher level of specialist and then she ended our chat and I haven't heard from her since so then today I thought maybe if I make a new account that will help because I don't have any rides on this account nope same s*** the promos add to my account but no matter how many times I've tried wasted my entire freaking day and no luck nobody has money like that to be spending delivery fees and service fees I understand people have to get paid but I don't even have a job right now so if I have a coupon then I should be able to use it how are you going to tell me as Uber that you don't control the coupons if they are already in the system as applied to my account before I even got on there then you should have to be obligated to abide by that that makes no sense to me you are a humongous company and you don't even have three stars I'm pretty sure you're doing something very wrong your customer service sucks it's very hard to reach out to them they might answer the chat right away but then they never know how to answer the problem they always want to send you to someone else and then they can't help you or they tell you that they're not in charge of the codes or this or that it's never ending and then I got to sit here and argue about a couple of the rides that I had and why the heck am I getting charged for my driver canceling on me that makes absolutely no sense and customer service is so bad you literally want to argue with me about it I try not to complain until it's absolutely necessary but I'm extremely upset and I'm totally over it I was so excited because I literally am so broke and I literally had an email that was the thing I had an email to my email with a promo code it wasn't expired and it wouldn't be validated it wouldn't be applied and then the customer service couldn't help me that is outrageous and totally going against company protocol how are you going to send me something from your Uber company and not abide by it really get it together showing the promotions were in there when I got in there and that I went through the steps and shows you that I had this and I had that and then it didn't want to I've read the directions if you're going to tell me some of them don't go for certain States or don't go for this or don't go for that then there needs to be details that explain the reasons not like I said this stuff below is just from one incident I've had at least three where my coupons are not being applied and then I did attach more pictures from the same problem I had yesterday with my

I spent money on a ride only to have to spend more money
May 9, 2023

It is an awful business practice for the consumer to spend money for a reserved ride, ensuring that there is enough money to cover the ride, only to find out that you are going to be charged twice for the same ride, because Uberʻs policy of allowing riders to purchse Uber cash and STILL HAVE TO USE MONEY THAT MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO BE USED (namely when you HAVE TO BORROW IT) so that you can get to where you need to go.

At this moment, apparently, my issue has been escalated. I spent fifty bucks on a ride that I HAVE TO TAKE very early in the morning this coming Wednesday. I used what money I had left over in order to secure that the ride would be here, and to wake up finding out that indeed I have the fifty bucks in Uber cash (which, again, was the ONLY MONEY THAT I HAD) but still had to spend more money to get to the airport at four in the morning!

This is a horribly deceptive way to do things. The drivers are pleasant, or so I have heard, but this is wrong. This is SO wrong. The reason that people put money into the app IS SO THAT WE CAN GET WHERE WE NEED TO GO and NOT SO THAT IT IS "just in case" my CREDIT CARD WOULD NOT GO THROUGH! That IS NOT helpful at ALL!

It is greedy. It is shameful. I am angry. I would love for nothing more than to get my money back. This is wrong. I am going to have to get back home when I land back here in Vegas and I will not have the money to get to the house, because apparently Uber does not think that way. Uber does not think that people over a certain age would need to be able to get back and forth from point A to point B.

It really sucks when businesses pull this garbage

Take a cab.
I will be forced to put more money towards this even though I already have ENOUGH TO GET ME BACK HOME, uber is GOING TO ROB ME AGAIN to cover its billion dollar plus havinʻ okole. Never mind the consumer.

I will choose another way to get to places that I have to get to in the future. I stopped using Uber in the past because it costed more than I could afford. Same with Lyft - because these people use this method of payment...to have us keep THEM safe while we end up paying more while THEY have their rear ends covered.

Your drivers are cool but your app and the people who take the money and make these rules suck HORRIBLY. Your app has just made an already VERY EARLY DAY for me even WORSE

Thank you for making me spend more money than I had.

Unconstitutional ratings for customers
January 3, 2023

Uber supports male drivers dangling the ratings over a woman's head if she doesn't cater tho them enough on a personal level. Character defamation alone is my inspiration for addressing this issue that Uber neglects, yet perpetuates. Any rating under 5 star via Uber was exactly what I said, I didn't. Get as personal as the drivers wanted via conversation. After dr appt most often. Imagine how that feels to a person. But Uber fully supports. Character defamation is enuf for my 'taste' but it can result in account closure. At a slow pace but all stemming from this issue I stated. It's an issue that deserves to be carried to the fullest extent (lawful defense for customer/defendant, if not corrected, unlawful practice by inspiring male drivers to force a naturally considerate and moral woman from being able to take a form of public transportation if she doesn't get as personal as the male driver wants. My experiences are lengthy but I will support any human that has experienced right violations simply by not catering enough personally( forced conversation, that I refrained from resulting in less than 5 star rating (personal?'s that is) Uber will dismiss this with standard replies and justify this with standard replies. It's unjust yet inspired by Uber. Supported by Uber. It feels gross to me and don't want any other girl, woman or human to experience what I have. As it would be common sense this would happen so why is the company pretending their drivers would be fair given this type of 'power' the last driver passive aggressively introduced the rating scenario (refer to my google review) yet Uber will not address this clearly and completely. Rating a customer is unnecessary as just like any other business, if a customer is 'out of line' the driver doesn't have to perform service. Period. Of course my standard with out of line is different from the male drivers I experienced. I can't imagine asking some of the things they asked me. To my customer. I know of female friends who feel the same as I. The voice has to come from somewhere and it will start here. The Lyft experience with the young woman was resorted as not everything is. I seriously don't deserve any less than 5 and grossly done by males I wouldn't cater to enuf. Uber will not back me. They lie and say they can't change ratings and give a standard reply. I was sickened to find I was being rated. But explained the persistence and ways of the male drivers. It's opportunity for them as they don't always get the one on one in regular society. I was bothered and still didn't degrade some of their ratings as bothered as I was, because I'm too considerate to be petty. Rating customers has to stop as the result that can come from it is unjust, esp with the reasoning of these Uber drivers. I wouldn't. Cal it reasonable at all. I would be willing to testify my experiences should any person be close to account closure due to this sickness and unlawful intent inspired by Uber.

Uber is a theif literally
September 3, 2022

Back in April 2022 my wife needed a ride her car broke down 22 miles outside of our town. So in order to get her a ride seeing as I only had cash on me I walked a mile and half to the nearest convenience store and purchased a $25 Uber gift card and added it to my Uber cash account. It showed it was available so I went to order a ride but before I did I called my wife and she had already had friend pick her up so no ride was ever ordered. A few days went by and I decided to use some for a ride downtown. When I looked there was no money Uber had taken the entire 25 and there was no record of any ride, order, or purchase of any kind. I contacted Uber support quite honestly the worst customer service I've ever received. Now the representative admits to me that they see the transaction showing the money was removed from my Uber cash account and it also shows no purchases were made. So they say they need to escalate it to a specialist team to make it right. Ok ok ok now Ive been speaking with these new "specialist" for a couple hours thru either the app or emails they say they're going to refund my money. So a few days go by I keep checking and no refund no refund day after day so by the 10th day I get upset I start thinking they lied to me and I contacted support once again. This is where it gets interesting... The rep tells me the money was refunded but then says there is no tracking and they don't have a clue where the money went so I tell the rep anyone with half a brain knows every last bank transaction has a tracking code attached to it. He agreed and says they need to escalate it further. Now atleast every 3rd day for the past 5plus months I have spoke with some different rep or specialist about this. I've told them what they've already told me I've told them they need to make it right and return my money immediately. They give me the brush off saying there special team is working to fix this issue as fast as possible. Well then I say it's been over 5 months and ask them if they're so hard up they can't give me my 25 back that they took obviously lost and treat me with a minimum amount of decency. Now funny thing is i have calculated the total number of hours I've spent dealing with there reps at well over 100 hours. I don't really care what amount of money an employer is paying you if they paid you for 100 hours that amount is substantial. Personally I'm an automotive technician in a Toyota dealership. Im not going to give an exact figure but let's say Toyota charges $130 per hour for my labor and I make a very nice percentage of that. So believe me the time Ive wasted over a $25 theft has cost me quite a bit more than it's worth. Personally I want to just let it slide I think that's what they want too but honestly folks it's a matter of principle if Uber steals 25 from me 10 from you and 18 from the next guy and so on and so on that number climbs pretty fast to a very large number. Let's get together and stop them from stealing more money from us. thanks and God bless
