Formal complaint against your company AND request for compensation

Dear Mr. Khosrowshahi,

I want to make you aware of your company, having 1) the most ignorant customer service on the planet and 2) the best software, to squeeze every single dollar from the pockets of those using your services.

On Sunday 10th September I landed in Austin from a very long flight, which started in the south of Italy. After getting the luggage, I ordered an Uber.

The initial price of the ride was booked at 21,78US$ and a driver was confirmed. (Attachment 01) As I walked under the 105F+ temperatures to the meeting point, your Uber driver (Joseph K) cancels the ride, with no explanation of any sort (Attachment 2 – sms cancellation)
There was no driver waiting for me at the meeting point, in temperatures above 105F and after 21 hours of travels among stinky people and crying Babies.

As I check both applications of Lyft and Uber (see attachment 3 – Lyft) both show prices above 52US$ for the SAME distance back home ( 11 miles). I did not manage to get your print screen.

This is the classic example of a scam company, in which the Uber driver (Joseph K in this case), decides not to provide the service he has committed to, because your app has detected a peak of people at the airport, and has immediately DOUBLED the prices to charge to those in need of a ride. John K had the chance to make twice the money for the same service. So do you.

And by the way: 52US$ over 11 miles is an absolute RIP off.

As a consequence I had to get a taxi, which cost me 49.05US$ ( Attachment 4)

In addition to this rip of and distress, we find it disconcerting that there is NO Way to contact Uber directly, if not leaving some Feedback to previous drivers ( clearly there is no drive booked on the 12th September, to provide feedback to!)

And to make things even worst, UBER customer disservice PRETENDS not to understand the problem and tells me, that the money were only: "temporary booked on my c card and that they got refunded". Three times. Completely off point. Copy and paste

This answer came 3 times in a row from employees all the way to (fake) managers, who – despite the extremely obvious case of spam slammed onto their face, pretended to understand a different problem (unrecognized charge) and provided a completely different answer. (Attachment 5 and 6. The third "interaction" I trashed)

Shameful

Requests:
1) Refund me the difference of money I had to pay because of this (27.27US$)
2) 50US$ as compensation for 30 mins waiting time
3) 200US$ as compensation for my work time invested in this case
4) Official letter of apology for those ignorant managers, who played the dumb role

Please send a total of back of 277.27US$ to my credit card on file, or send me a cheque to the following address (details hidden)

Qwick is allegedly a company providing services for businesses, by leveraging freelances out there in the hospitality sector.
However these people have proved themselves (over and over) to be a major scam.
Inefficient and ineffective platform
I have only got 2 shifts across 8 months, which says a lot about how serious those people are.
An Illegal business
Qwick DOES NOT provide their freelances the tax forms needed for the tax declaration. This is a must for any legit employer in the US and it has to be done by law. Not for Qwick.
They never provided the 2022 1090 forms for my tax declaration. As a consequence I had to declare my income to the IRS, which I am not able to prove. I asked them multiple times to provide the forms and threatened them to report them. They could not care less. Radio silence.
Lack of customer support
1) They do not respond to your Email, please find an example of my email below, when on July 15th 2023, I ask if there are any update on my Email from December 2022 ( 7 months before) Quick never answered and they constantly fooling around with stupid answers.

2) See below another exchange in which they also have the bronze face, to say, they respond to ever message:

It goes without saying, that I have not heard from them ever since
The list could continue forever.

In summary, Qwick is Scam Company, whose business model needs to be investigated by the authorities and who is putting the individual freelance in troubles with their taxes

We gave it a try, as we were caught by the respectively cheap price in comparison to YouTube TV.
We bought the basic package and added the news channel on Top.

SLING has been failing us in each single dimension the WHOLE TIME

Here are some REGULAR Examples YOU WILL FACE:
1) SLING Freezes. While watching TV, it just stops and then nothing happens. The only way to get control of your TV is to switch it off and on again

2) You open the channel up and it Buffers (see photos attached) FOREVER. The only way to come out is to switch the TV Off

3) Customer service is absolutely useless. All they know is to blame your internet provider. Note that 24 months using YouTube TV the same WIFII was NEVER a problem

4) Customer service: all they know is to let you switch the TV off, unplug, wait and re-plug. I did this operation in 3 days more often than in my whole life

5) Customer service: wrote for support many times to the customer service, got an automatic EMAIL and then NEVER hear from them back

6) Even when you click on the webpages above, there is no link

7) Service: once you have paid, your money is GONE. SO even if you shut down this useless "TV provider" your money is GONE.

The Hotel shows a number of problems, mostly summarized in 3 categories:
1) Customer service from the mother company: Choice Hotels
2) Infrastructure and immense noise
3) Staff and service level

Choice hotel chain
I would not go too much into the details of how much discussion there was to change the reservation due to important business reasons I had. I gave Choice hotels plenty of notice so they could resell on of the 4 nights I prepaid for. I provided them the reasons, however Choice hotel did not recognize, care or gave a s…t.
Their speed and quality of response if also disgraceful. The useless answer arrived even after I had already checked out – where they do not perceive there is any need to address the issues anymore.

INFRASTRUCTURE AND NOISE
This is sold under Booking.com as a "Hotel". However this is Motel, positioned on the nosiest street in Santa Fe (Cerrillos Rd) with an infrastructure dating back to the 40s.
I asked specifically to get to some quiet location away from the highway Cerrillos. The receptionist indeed put me in a room on the back of the hotel
If this happens to you, YOU WILL NOT SLEEP
The room faces a parking which is being filled up at night by screaming drunk people leaving the nearby Lulu's nightclub Disco club from 09 am to 4 am in the morning, and parking their noisy and smelly monster Pick up trucks V12, 6, 000CC with loud bass music and revving engines, to wake everyone up. Straight in front of your window.
YOU WILL NOT SLEEP
Getting contact with the reception is useless as you need to phone them from outside to speak to someone.
THE ROOM
Poor condition overall, with a Television that never worked. See attached pictures of items on the room Carpet, etc. Aligned however to motel standards.

STAFF
Mostly unfriendly and disengaged. You feel bad even to ask for anything. The woman (manager?) looked and behaved very detached, bored, annoyed and apathy.
The man was a bit better and tried to be more helpful.

Summary: this is a motel which is packaged as a Hotel, to squeeze more money from the customers.

We bought a scammed Arabian desert Safari, while we were in Dubai.
The owner did not have the offer, which was posted on Groupon, so we said, to forget about it and asked Groupon to refund us the 2 tickets we bought.
Groupon refunded only one ticket after million of emails, after the Al Kuutot Al Thababia Tourism Dubai just voided the Ticket and took the money,
Groupon customer service has been a joke ever since and I needed 50 emails for someone to understand. I do not consider the case still closed.
Below the email sent to their "Manager" Mani.
Zero stars to Groupon (by the way you can find better offers, if you go directly by the sellers. The Ethiad Museum is chaeper at the door than Groupon, same as the Burj Kalifha to the TOP") and never anymore.
Here is the letter sent to him and his "staff"
Groupon failed in all the possible ways for the following reasons:

1) you confused me with some refund into Groupon of the wrong amount 34,80AED instead of 87AED

2) you have been protecting the scammer seller, who has been sending me ridiculous messages per what's up and you have put me in the middle of a resolution, which YOU should have led and taken ownership to resolve

3) you have been generating a ping pong of emails as a result of this mess, whih caused me to lose hours of work and the associated money, which I asked you tocompensate me and you did not even aknowledge the topic

4) you have never aknowledged my conversations I have sent you as a proof of the scammer Al Kuutot Al Thababia Tourism Dubai

5) you have never provided me a more efficient phone number to call, to resolve this quickly, but rahter forced me during and after my holidays in an exchange of emails, which resulted in writing a book

6) you do not offer the users the option to review the scammers in your portal, so that other people are not scammed like me. This is the sign you are instead protecting them, losing trust from users as a result of this

7) you have allowed the scammer (Al Kuutot Al Thababia Tourism Dubai) to redeem the voucher, without me ever authorising it, when I should be the one redeeming the voucher.
Given the deceiving and lying nature of the Dubai businesses, this is the last thing you should ever allow in your portal

8) Despite my requests to escalate the topic to a manager, you have delayed in showing up for over 2 weeks and instead pu me in contact with a person who has proved to be useless and not accountable (Jayalakshmi V.) - he should be fired.

9) I have no idea where the refund in groupon is. Please make the refund to my Credit card ending in 4992, not in Groupon as many times mentioned I want to get out of tihs scamming

10) you have not provided me the information, on how I can remove my profile and delete all my data forever from this platform, clearly infringing the (non exhisten in dubai) rules about Data protection.

11) if the above are your "standards" then just stop mentioning that, you are making ridiculous of yourself.

Appreciate, if you specifically address the points above, as we do in first world country.

(a scandal I need to rate 1 star instead of 0 stars, in order to alert all of you!)
This is an organized group of trained people, whose aim is to deceive you and steal your money
For the second time in a row, we fell again into this defrauding company
Fox rental a car robbed us money and there IS NO WAY to get in contact with anyone: customer service Email, Face book, Websites, call center,…. (they actively use the technique of Ignore, avoid and Denial)
FACTS:
Upon arrival the employee Mr Michael said: "I will make you an offer, you cannot refuse"
Given we had previously been defrauded in February 2020 at the Miami "Airport" station( by an employee who forced us to add an insurance we never asked or needed, case officially reported to the station and on the social media) - we answered " NO".
But then he added: "you should trust me, If you return the car empty, it costs you only 3US$ to refuel the car.
After returning it with some fuel, we were (obviously) charged for the whole missing fuel. There has been no WAY to get in contact with the scammer Michal, his office manager and the management of the company in general, neither on the day, nor later (5 months later still)
As a consequence we have reported these repeated sales fraud techniques to the BBB and to the respective authorities.
Remember, that FOX being cheap, means YOU WILL PAY the difference (with interest) in phone calls, nerves and a lot of time wasted, after the rental
This is the worst scamming company ever met in USA

Short note on reaching the station:
When you land at the airport, there is NO Fox car rental. You need to wait for a bus at least 20 minutes, drive additional 20 minutes to a station. Still this is NOT where FOX is: you need to wait for a SECOND bus (no air conditioning and no social distancing so to better spread COV19) and after a journey in 120F, you get to their third world location.

I have bought those tyres here, as there is a decent amount of info and rating about those.
Owever you lose 3 stars, due to the incompetent customer service I spoke to on Monday, who effectively delayed my purchase decision by 5 days, losing also additional research time (google and forums) for info he was not capable of doing

Reason I chose this business:

I found some tyres, with good reviews and wallmart does not sell those. So for this time only I bought them here.

Disgraceful company: be aware, as they are using the COV-19 Pandemic, to steal money from Passengers. Report them to the EU commission and the relevant authorities.

Before COVID I took 115 to 140 flights / year. I have seen pretty much everything and any sort of disservice. The one from Eurowings is one of the worse
Eurowings has shown significant flaws in their process and built-in practices in place, aimed at scamming their customers.
In the price of my Ticket Dortmund to Brindisi (Basic) a hand luggage was included for free.
Immediately after the booking I called EUROWINGS call center, to make sure, this was correct and they confirmed. On the day of the flight, I decided to call the contact center again (Yes, I did not trust them already). After one hour spent in the queue, with no answer, I gave up.

Scamming practices
At the check in the lady charged me immediately 5€ for checking in there (since when? And where was it written?!)
Nowhere in the whole ticketing system had Eurowings mentioned this, nor did they send a reminder before the flight. Silence Ignorance Traps customer defrauded
After collecting the 5€, the lady asked me to pay additional 40 Euros for the luggage, to which I exploded. I knew, something was being hidden by Eurowings through the whole process.
I argued that this was free in my Basic ticket. She pointed at my small (see photos), saying that was my hand luggage (measures 10 cm x 10 cmx1 cm, so this slides anywhere, including the hand luggage).
As this sleeve being converted into a hand luggage, the trolley became a second luggage, so I had to pay additional 40€ (half the ticket price), if I wanted to fly.
I asked to speak to a manager, which obviously does not exist. She said to contact the complaint department online. I reached to them and I got evasive copy and paste emails, so I decided to report them for illegal practices to the EU Commission.
Do the same if this happens to you
I requested an official apology by the company and the Kai advisor on Facebook who avoided to answer, as well as Michelle Polzin and Laura Piccolomo from the customer service, who tried to shut me down with a useless, time wasting Emails.
Disgraceful, stay away and report them as soon as they scam you.

Report them to the EU commission and the relevant authorities.

The first incident happened. I had two $5 off promo coupons in my account. I called to order...
