Made what i thought was a reservation thre tripadvisor.com. They said they would send me an e nail with confer. # along with other details. Did not receive e mail. I called the hotel which tripadvisor made reservations for me. The hotel did not receive this info. I made 2 different phone calls and was told the room was booked. Meanwhile, i had already gave them my credit card number to pay i so called booking fee. Here i am without a place to stay and giving access to my credit card. I called the bank and cancelled my card. What a scam.
Last year I and my family members choose this travel site to decide the vacation destination. There are many top destination lists in their site and you can also read different reviews of the same. We had confusion in deciding the hotel too but this service solved the problem. We got a hotel very close to the destination we choose to visit. Good travel review site!
I always look at TripAdvisor reviews before booking a hotel. I recently stayed at a Best Western in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The hotel was right off the expressway. My daughter and I went into the hot tub and had a male peeking in the window. When I asked the front desk about their safety, they had no cameras, and laughed about the male peeking in the window. I will not go by TripAdvisor any more because they obviously don't check these hotels.
Great travel forums. Have a question about travel? You can get answers from the travel experts, other travelers just like you. Whether it's about hotel's, flying, trains, what to do in a city, you will get answers by locals. Tons of different forums with tons of answers to your travel questions. Want information about hotels? You can read reviews of past guests who have stayed in the hotel you may be thinking about. A great resource web site for those that want to travel.
This summer I have chosen a hotel based on positive reviews on this site. However, in reality the hotel turned to be AWFUL and I was very disappointed. When I came home, I wrote a 1-star-review describing my awful experience, but tripadvisor REMOVED it without any notification or explanation! I tried to reach their support or administration, but they did not reply. Actually, there is no email to send complaints, only ticketing system. This is a very and very suspicios site as many positive reviews are FAKE! But Negative reviews they just remove.
I do not trust it anymore. Do not recommend.
The site is really good for choosing the hotels worldwide, but however I did not get a good hotel apartment which was positively rated. The booking was done by my company, but there were so many charges that was incurred on me for a 1 week stay in dubai in a hotel apartment.
Pretty much any travel related business has reviews on Travel Advisor. And since there are so many reviews per business, it's the go to place to find reviews and suggestions. Also, if a business closes, TA will let you know. TA also gives you tips on itineraries and such which makes travel planning less daunting.
I especially find the hotel reviews useful as I shop around online. There are enough good and bad reviews to get a good picture of how frequent the bad happens and the good. It's helped me to avoid some bad experiences. I only wish that more travel sites would link to the Tripadvisor review for the establishment.
Easy place to find good reviews about hotels and restaurants if you plan to travel. You can learn a lot about the service and what the place is actually like, regardless of pictures that a place might use on their own web site.
As like my dad, I am also a travel lover and love to have events in some enthralling destinations. My dad always love to choose Tripadvisor to continue with a package and they served us magnificently yet. So I love to share the experience with Tripadvisor here with you guys. We remember you still and hope to plan another trip with you. Expect anytime...
Not so good, what they call the best cannot be better then $50 room. I take a trip to fiji and thanks to them i was struck in a 12ft room with 2 other guys. Why MEH. Just coz i could not forgot this trip.
I don't go anywhere without checking this site. I have gone places without checking, and have paid the ugly price. I also ignored bad reviews, and paid the price there too! Most reviews are accurate. I have had reviews rejected for reasons unknown, but then would resubmit them later, and they'd get published.
I consider going to this site an integral part of my vacation planning.
Purchased advance tickets for the Museum which is supposed to whisk you inside without standing in line. HA! Pouring rain and the line had probably 100 people. Showing our "avoid the line" ticket to the door guard, he said no... that means you avoid the line inside the Museum, not outside. Go back into the rain with all the other people that have the same ticket. Finally, getting inside... there was another long line and everyone had the same "avoid the line" ticket! Take this into consideration when you buy "advance. Avoid the line" tickets!
Had a trip booked through Trip Advisor when Hurricane Harvey came through. I had to cancel my trip at the resort and got everything back except for what Trip Advisor kept. I feel Trip Advisor should refund my deposit due to the circumstances out of my control. I have NO way of contacting them about this matter. I will not ever go through this company again when booking my next trip. They have NO one who you can call (no ph. #) for help. There is no way of contacting them about anything. Who runs a company without customer service or contact info? Trip Advisor does!
I wanted an adventure. It was. This part pushed me to the limit. I wanted the full ranch experience and it didn´t let me down. Frankly an experience of a lifetime. Be prepared to be told what to do and when (for riding) but there is a reason. Its tough if you feel you are "rusty" but I asked for...
I have used trip advisor many times and found the information to be very honest and accurate, I am provide many reviews to trip advisor and what I submit along with photos are always shown as submitted.
Trip advisor is a great source of information allowing you to make the right decision on where to go, you must take into consideration every ones experience and expectations are different and this is shown in the varied reviews.
What to say, I have been made my trip with at least 5 tour operators. But, tripadvisor.com is absolutely fantastic in providing us the maximum opportunity to enjoy and to leisure. They have contact with outstanding hotels to stay and awesome spots to enjoy the trip as well. A trip with tripadvisor.com is like we are in heaven.
My husband and I went on a cruise to Bermuda for our 40th wedding anniversary. Upon leaving the ship in Bermuda, we came upon taxis lined up to take tourists around to see the beautiful island of Bermuda. A very professionally dressed man named "Charlie" approached us and offered to take us on an hour trip for $100. As my husband has trouble walking, we took him up on his offer. True to his word, he showed us such beautiful sites and he was so informative. He stopped anytime we wanted to take pictures, go in a place such as the old churches, lighthouse or anything we wanted. He made this trip all about us. He actually took us around for 1 1/2 hour for the 1 hour price. If you go to Bermuda-be sure to look "Charlie" up. You won't be disappointed. He is a real professional.
I am host on Tripadvisor.com.The poor level of customer service and delayed payments is astonishing.I have emailed, been calling them daily for at least two weeks because I haven't received a payment after a guest checked out(a week ago) but until today no progress.Yet if you refuse to host a guest they charge you USD180.
Apparently they have a finance department that no one can talk to or email directly.
Its an experience I wouldn't want anyone to go through.
I'm still waiting for the issue to be resolved.
I really like this site, but they have a major short coming. I am finding edits to listings beyond a simple review practically doesn't get done. I have flagged several listings with wrong addresses, duplicates, or being closed and that never seems to get processed and you get info on places that aren't there anymore when searching for suggestions where to go.
I have sent followups, and I get assurances they will make the change (not sure if those are from live beings or automated responses), yet they don't happen. I have one change since October and now the business has closed down!
Bad data is worst than no data. But since many of these "review" sites pride themselves on how many entries they have, they seem to be slow in taking data down or prefer to duplicate entries leaving things behind.
Answer: Ya, its very easy, you can find your hotel and write as you want. What's your experience with this hotel.
Answer: Its hard to find it. I think you must need to find the correct name of your company or place. Then you can easily find any review
Answer: I don't have a chance about this. I think real reviews with good details published immediately.
