Trying to leave a review it keeps throwing me out
Telling me to log in when I'm already logged in
An absolute crock of $#!£
Never again, not wasting anymore time on this clearly lefty, woke organisation
I have noticed over the years that trip advisor seldom posts negative reviews. I have tried to post several three star reviews and they have been taken down or not been posted despite them being objective. My only conclusion is that there is a conflict of interest somewhere in their business model.
Legacy Vacation Club, "Hilltop" in Steamboat Springs, CO has gone downhill over the years. For owners, there are high maintenance fees and yet, very little has been done to upgrade the rooms. The mattresses are poor in quality. The stove is so old one can not read the numbers on any of the dials. The carpets are stained and torn. There are no dishwashers. The rooms have not been updated regarding fire sprinklers. The sinks are slow to drain. If you are an owner, trying to find the time to vacation, it is very frustrating. Most dates they will tell you are booked and yet no one seems to be there. They save rooms for those traveling to Steamboat.
On the upside the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have some nice amenities, grills, weight room, and a swimming pool.
We have stayed our last time at Legacy Vacation Club. So many other available places to stay for the money.
This "community as they call it" consists of very rude people. They give their opinion on every word you say BUT answer the question you are asking! It's actually frustrating to post something on their forums.
Beautiful town house, completely refurbished to a very high standard.
We absolutely loved this house and the local bars and little shop were perfect.
The community pool was very large and never busy.
Spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed.
Would definitely stay here again.
Actually always found places recommended by Tripadvisor much worse and discovered by my self or another websites much better. Its just promoting big businesses and the rating stars are not reflecting the quality at all...
When booking a tour in your app, I accidentally selected the wrong one. I contacted you immediately, literally within 1 minute. You refused to cancel without a 100% cancel fee, even though my intention was to cancel and book the correct one.
I understand that it was a late cancelation but it was also a late booking and the tour company would not have commenced any plans for my tour and were most likely not even aware of it within the few minutes it took between booking and cancelling! I feel it was very unreasonable and unfair, to not offer any type of leniency in this situation. Especially when your whole product is based around the customer using a self-serve app. This cost me $1500. I better not use you again in case I make a mistake, best to use an agency or book through hotels.Thats the message you're sending to customers when you don't provide any cooling off period for mistakes/errors. I mean- seriously- even a 10-20min window.
They don't check if the business that's listed is legit. They answer emails not for quality but quantity. They don't even read them. They approve businesses that don't have websites or any online presence. Just don't use them. Beware
I booked an excursion in Mexico to go to Chichen Itza for 4 people which cost $800 CDN and the tour hosts did not show up at our resort to pick us up even though we were up and outside at 6am like they asked. When I put in for a refund through TripAdvisor they just ignored me. It's been a month and they haven't responded to my refund request at all. 800 dollars is a lot of money and I will not be using TripAdvisor again.
Trip advisor is a worldwide platform that helps travellers who love travelling around the world know, get insights of new places to plan their next trips. It provides quality and good information in all areas right from culture, food, hotels, restaurants and everything travelers love to know.
Website is brilliantly set up. Love a lot of the reviews. Makes me want to visit a few places that are 5 stars. I have noticed some buried reviews(I don't know if u can pay for this?)Otherwise I haven't had any problems
My husband and I traveled to Quintana Roo specifically for this experience. I am a teacher and teach about the Maya empire.
Our tour was confirmed for 6:00 am., and we arrived at 5:45 am to be safe, but nobody showed.
After many attempts to contact the tour operator, (the number listed in the booking was incorrect) he said they changed the pickup time to 5;30 am the day before travel, but he couldn't reach me because Viator/Trip Advisor had relayed to him the wrong country code and now it was too late to get us.
Trip Advisor/Viator has refused to refund the $318 we paid despite all of the printed and screen-captured evidence. After years of only booking through them for everything from Viking tours on Icelandic horses to Stockholm ferry-rides, this will be my last tour with this company. Can't express enough my disappointment that this company worth 200 million can't give a teacher the price of her no-show tour back. :(
Tripadvisor.com forums consist of volunteers from the online public. Therefore, one will find an array of characters and personalities. Some are scammers pushing their wares. Others (the majority) are fellow travelers. However, there are some specific forums (e.g. Paris) that consist of regulars (some residents of that particular city/country) and they can be absolutely rude and nasty. What is very frustrating and galling is when people get their posts deleted arbitrarily by other forum members. That's legitimate if the posts were indeed inflammatory or 'inappropriate' (Tripadvisor's term). But what's happening more and more nowadays is that some of these forum posters, who have a personal dislike towards other forum posters, report innocent posts as being 'inappropriate'. There is no way to prove that is happening other than what you witness yourself. Don't even bother arguing your point with the Tripadvisor personnel as they could care less.
In short, Tripadvisor may be a good way to learn about traveling. But you need to keep in mind that there are quite very nasty, negative types who are there day and night hoping to make things difficult for others.
TRIP ADVISOR has allowed 1,bad business review, Buckingham place guesthouse to be prominent for 5 years on their site. Ive been going 25 years. The bad review, is pasted all over the net. Im still going strong. Im one of the oldest guesthouses in my city. Im disgusted that this untrue outdated review of Buckingham place guesthouse port elizabeth is still prominent. Hurting my business 5 years later. Come on TRIP ADVISOR Unacceptable. Everyone knows that anyone can put up good or bad reviews. Untrue. Outdated... Ive stood the test of time. My business survived Covid 19. Im still going strong. This reviewer could be dead for all we know. TAKE IT DOWN. Useless company.
As a business owner it was a bad buy to sign up for their annual service that offers also booking through Tripadvisor. They are not up to the task neither technologically or strategically. I had 0 traffic in sales. Price tag is high for what they offer. Stick with the review panes only. It is free and adds value to your business.
I have been what is considered a Destination Expert for many years with over 59,000 contributions to the forums. Suddenly my status was dropped and the only explanation I have been able to obtain was from a rude moderator named Dave who says I violated guidelines. I have asked for further explanation but nothing happens. Many people have posted supporting me on the forms but they are immediately deleted from the forum. Very surprising to see such a large firm allows bullying by their employees which refusal to respond to complaints.
My wife purchased show tickets from Viagogo and was charger over £230 for tickets which are selling for just under £80 including delivery.
Viagogo are impossible to speak to and they do not like having contact with customers.
They promise the earth and deliver ZERO.
To make matters worse they use the worlds worst delivery company UPS wnd I think that they are both fighting for the bottom of the league for customer care.
At this moment Viagogo is winning by a hairsbreadth but this could change
They do not update you if a business is no longer in business. More than one time I tried to eat in a restaurant that was now closed! Same goes for tours. There was a free city tour I wanted to try and it no longer existed, but trip advisor did not update their website.
I used to trust the food reviews, but not anymore. Same for hotels. Some restaurants and hotels encourage people who had a good experience to write reviews, so the results are skewed. There are also too many large or high volume restaurants that overshadow smaller and better places.
I worked for tripadvisor. They only allow overtime for high wage workers. The food was great and the atmosphere was ok but I don't like how they conduct business for their workers or their customers. There tends to be no real savings when using them to book anything. And theres been hidden fees such as taxes or paying for parking that they don't tell you about. There are better sites to use don't waste your money here when you can get a better deal with Expedia or priceline.
My wife politely asked to replace an item in her order that was not properly cooked. The owner, an older woman, tried to explain away the problem through erroneous and misleading claims, when her explanations were refuted by my wife she grabbed her plate with a huff and disappeared. Her business model appears to be "the client is always wrong"!
Answer: Ya, its very easy, you can find your hotel and write as you want. What's your experience with this hotel.
Answer: Its hard to find it. I think you must need to find the correct name of your company or place. Then you can easily find any review
Answer: I don't have a chance about this. I think real reviews with good details published immediately.
Tripadvisor has a rating of 3 stars from 605 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Tripadvisor most frequently mention customer service, credit card and several times. Tripadvisor ranks 2nd among Travel Guides sites.
