“Great remodel!”

Regina M.
3/1/20

Thanks to Lior Lazarovich, Dorel Zander and the Treeium team for the transformation of my parents home! The timeline and communication throughout the remodel process was great! Especially with my busy schedule. All the work was very efficient and thorough. Very satisfied! Would recommend to anyone looking to remodel.

“Lies and awful service, need I say more? Yes I will”

From day one, so many promises made and none of them kept. My one month job with a 3 month outside limit took over 5 months to complete. The sales guy/project manager almost never showed up after getting a signed contract. The workmanship is poor at best, tile and finish work was just plain awful. Workers left crap everywhere and rocks in the carpets. I invite anyone considering this company to come over to my house to see what they will be getting. The project manager gets bonuses based on the reviews you send in to the company, my project manager was so upset over a bad review that he threatened to send in the "B" team to finish the job. After seeing the completed project, I don't think they have an "A" team. One of my faucets started leaking 10 months after completion, they wouldn't warranty the labor. They wanted $300 to repair it so I ordered the part from Amazon and replaced it myself (took 15 minutes). Treeium's warranty isn't worth the paper its printed on.

After 24 months of waiting to have my project started, Moty Ginsburg lied to me about providing "next day's installation" following the week of July 17th.
I then entered a contract to refund my payments – this was like pulling teeth – but they finally agreed (I'm not getting a FULL refund).

THEY ARE NOW IN BREACH OF CONTRACT as they have missed the payment deadline for the FIRST payment and refuse to communicate.

The "main" people at Treeium are:
- Elizabeth Camarena
- Dean Ginsburg
- Moty Ginsburg
- Frances Mayorga

"Rhea" is the receptionist who will NEVER get you in contact with anyone; she will only email Moty.! DO NOT GO INTO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
When the going gets rough, they will stop all communication with you and most likely, you will lose money.
Treeium collected $12,740.00 from me and is NOT ADHEARING to their contractual obligation.

The attached photo is my refund agreement (my phone & address redacted).

Tip for consumers:
!!! DO NOT GO INTO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY !!!

September 14,2023 *** Update ***
Company responded after about (8) emails in the last two weeks and many, many phone "hang-ups" when attempting to call them. They are offering a refund --- less than what I paid them --- and in monthly payments, to begin a month from now. I refused. I want a full refund - I haven't received ANYTHING... It looks like this company is in financial trouble.

August 3,2021
I Signed a contract on to install (2) Tesla Powerwall units. Paid a total of $9,767.20 prior to receiving product and installation.
I have NEVER received proactive communication from Treeium regarding the status of my project.
The constant response I received when regularly contacting them, was they were waiting for deliveries from Tesla.

June 23,2023 (22 months after contract signature)
Moty Ginsburg (the owner of Treeium) sent me the following email: "Per our conversation, we will be getting a Tesla shipment the week of the 17th of July. As soon as we have delivery, we will schedule the next day's installation for you." This did not happen, nor did he contact me at ANY point after the missed date.

August 17,2023 (8 weeks later)
I gave them 2 weeks to complete, or I would cancel the project (they NEVER responded).

September 1,2023
I called and cancelled the project, stating that I would like a full refund. Frances Mayorga (from Treeium) contacted me, stating I would receive a full refund.

September 12,2023
NO REFUND. I may need to hire a lawyer. Buyer BEWARE of this company.
I have been VERY nice and accommodating. Treeium has been TERRIBLE.
This company is the worst experience I have ever had.

Tip for consumers:
They have NOT given me a refund of the $12,740.00 I have paid to them. NO product has been received.

Products used:
None. In 2 years, they accomplished NOTHING.

Treeium has been a complete nightmare since my 2 bathroom renovation started. I am still dealing with their issues 6 months after my two-bathroom renovation was SUPPOSED to be completed. I had countless issues with each phase of the project and had to consult multiple contractors not affiliated with Treeium to remedy each issue. The final issue I dealt with was a plumbing leak in both bathrooms after the expensive tile had already been laid. In short their plumbers instsalled each bathroom ring too low. I had to document their errors and take photos of the problems with each bathroom and toilet. They sent plumbers out on three different occasions and were not able to fix their errors. As a result of their contractor's incompetence, I had to consult my own plumber to fix Treeium's mistakes that were made. These fixes cost $2900. Their CEO, Moty Ginsburg/and Office manager, Abril Platas approved the reimbursement for the costs I incurred, however, they never paid the $2900. Their Project Manager, Joseph Avishay could not provide any updates and apologized for their lack of ability to conduct good business. I have been told countless excuses as to why I was not reimbursed, such as "their accounting team is overseas", "their CEO is out of town," "Their CEO is in charge of accounting and is out of town"... the list goes on. If anyone would like to see the email chain and photos of their mistakes I would be happy to share them with you. PLEASE do yourself a favor and run as fast as possible away from this horrible company if you're thinking about contracting with them, they are bad business. Period.

I needed a new roof so we went over what I needed which was a new roof and a new gutter system. They put my solar on my roof earlier but I needed to use Treeium as they said my warranty on my solar would not last if some other company did it. They gave me a bid to take my solar off and redo my roofing. Put my solar back up but in a bit of a different place and change the mounting. They said they would clean all my solar panels.

I came home after they did their demo and there was a nail on my sidewalk i got worried as i have kids and 2 dogs that run around. I called and they came out with a magnet and said they cleaned it up and were sorry. After my daughter went out take her puppy out in the morning. She came back with a handfull of nails and sharp metal cut offs. I went out to check this and I found over 65 nails and metal cut offs on their playground area and the dog run and car park.

They did not do a good job checking what was needed on their inspections as when they went to put up the garage roofing they said that the roof sheeting was not thick enough and I would have to pay $700 or so to correct this. This was their error when they did their bidding inspection as it was easy to see this. They fixed it and did not charge me.

Next the solar guys where putting up the solar in the wrong spot and using the old ugly mountings! I called, they were confused as this new possitioning was not communicated from the sales rep or someone. Also they said there was nothing about new mounting rails. They just cut up my new roof to mount my solar in the wrong place!
They also cuy trees that were shading this section yet the panels where in the wrong place.
They also pulled my solar disconnects off the wall some how!

I told the solar guys to make sure it was all per code. I was told they were done with the solar so I went up to inspect it. The inverters were not getting any power. They forgot to turn the system on. They did not even strap the conduit which is out code. I asked when was this going to be inspected by the city. They brought up that they dont need to pull permits or get a city inspection on this. But if I wanted one I will have to pay for it. I told them this is required that they pull a permit and get an inspection but they said it wasn't. I'm a C-10 electrical contractor and it is required. So they did not even pull a permit or get any inspections on their electrical work.

They said they finished the rain gutters. I sprayed some water on my roof and there was water coming through their gutter system on to my patio. They sent someone out to fix it. I tested it again it still leaked. I was told that you cant put gutters there. Which made no sense as this was what I was told would be done and thus it was in the contract and to top it off they put them there! This went back and forth till I just said leave 2 tubes of caulk and 4' of the angled rain flashing and I will fix it. They said they would.

They said they cleaned the solar panels and sent pictures of them. They did not clean the panels as they were still covered with dirt. I wrote "look" on them and washed one with a wet rag so they could see they where not clean and that their crew just got them wet and took a picture of them as they look "clean and shiny" when they are wet.

The roofers also used some of my round concrete tree circles to block their truck and broke these. They broke my alarm sign that was in front of my house. They cracked one of my stepping stones. I took pictures of these and sent them to them and brought this up a couple of times but they never responded to this at all.

They asked for their final payment and I brought up that they have not gotten the rain gutter material for me to fix the gutters they just left the caulk. They said they have nothing left. I told them they said they would leave this for me so I could fix it. They said it's all gone but I could go buy some at Lowes!

I went to park my car and right where I park my car there was a large new metal vent cap that had come off the roof vents and dropped to the ground. If my car would have been there when it got windy I would have had a dent and scratch in my car or a broken wind shield.

My wife and I just paid them as we are done with the back and forth and upset. We paid something like 25,000.00 for this and not pleased at all.

I am a contractor and know what to look for and do but most home owners dont and will not catch these out code points, pour workmanship, lies etc. You can use these guys but check everything they do as I am not pleased. I was not going to write a bad review but it just kept getting worse and worse and I really dont want others to go through what I did.

I have attached pictures so you can see the details

Treeium started off as a promising venture for me. After signing with another company, they were helpful and honest in outlining for me the grave mistake that I had made in doing so. The representative with whom I spoke, who's name was Elad, was incredibly eager to sign a deal, promising that I would pay slightly less than the other company was willing to do the job for. If you are reading this, I am here to tell you not to believe a word these people say. Half of the work done was ineffective and entirely unnecessary. He wasted my time beating around the bush with complicated language that was meant to make me feel like I should trust him, while keeping me in the dark as to exactly why. I didn't understand, but I believed him. My mistake.

May 5th, 2016, 10:30am appointment for free estimate for a patio/deck rebuild. After having three previous estimates from three reputable contractors a Treeium representative a (what I thought would be a knowledgeable contractor) showed up with his notepad and measuring tape clipped to belt. I told him the patio would be 17'X18', he measured never writing anything down. I explained to him the same things I told the previous contractors and without a beat told me it couldn't be done. I told him I have had other contractors come and have disgust what needed to be done. After taking measurements and notes was told in 2 or 3 days I would receive an estimate from them. Treeium Rep. Michael immediately started being very arrogant and condescending telling me all other estimates could not be true or correct. He then started trying to sell me on him company showing all kinds of paperwork and telling me that the sub-contractors that they use are professionals. I said to him " so you use sub-contractors and don't do the work yourselves"? He didn't like my questions. He than told me that I would need to pay him 10% of an amount he wrote down on a piece of paper so he would set a date to come back with someone to take measurements so they could give me an estimate. I then asked him "so you don't give free estimates"? He then got irate and said no engineer would come for free. At that I was very upset. I told him I needed a knowledgeable person to come to give me an estimate and not a salesman. He continued to talk down to me and I then told him to collect all his paperwork and that the conversation was over. He continued to argue with me and again I had to tell we were done. I then told him I was getting mad and wanted him to leave. I believe that this is false advertising, telling me our appointment was for a free estimate and not a hard sale from a salesmen. I had to select one star to be able submit this review, I wouldn't even give that that if I didn't have to. Larry Montano

I am very unhappy with Treeium. The prices for the work is way out of line with other contractors. They charge way to much. Be Very Careful and check them out.
They are not what they seem to be.

Treeium must have near 100% labor fees and are afraid to list them when asked.

Quality of work? Who knows?! Never got that far. They refused to give us a detailed cost breakdown of our project. The most we got from our projected project manager (PM) writing down the work... still nothing regarding the cost of labor, materials, etc. He flat out refused to include demo as most contractors do when asked. When my wife asked again, the cost with the minor changes we asked for went up $25,000.

Could our refusal to sign the Arbitration Agreement (by law we are not required to sign) have had anything to do with it?

I don't think some of this stuff is the PM's fault so much... it seems like company policy. Of course, he does choose to work for them.

Have a moment? Here's what happened:

We negotiated an agreement with Treeium 2 or so yrs ago but weren't ready to do the work. They told us to take our time, they'd be ready with our file when we were. My wife liked they are eco-friendly & we really liked the guys they sent over... and we said we'd call them when we're ready. We like to keep our word so we did. However, they didn't keep our paperwork or they "couldn't find it." Regardless, We wanted to change out a couple of the more expensive projects for some other work.

The new rep or PM kept telling us to forget the original even though we told him that it was important to us that with the work the only different is that those 2 projects were being replaced. He wanted to forget it because those projects were very costly (over $20k) & what we were replacing them with were not at all but he still was charging us the same price. Actually, he was telling us there was no way Treeium could do all the work for under an additional $10-$15k.

After we took off 4 projects and agreed on the cost, he left but my wife was unhappy that over the course of the meeting she and the rep had yelled at each other twice to come to the agreement over cost. She doesn't like having to raise her voice to get her point across especially to someone who should be here to hear what she has to say without doing so. Much less being yelled at by someone she may be having to making decisions with like this in the future.

Should've known then: Treeium's more for their bottom line than honesty & fair prices. Anyway, my wife couldn't get it off her mind and emailed him and told him that she was still uncomfortable about 2 points... 1 of which he snuck in as she was signing the last page. He said he understood. So without making us use our 3-day out, we'd meet the following week and to go over everything again. We did.

Changes:
1) increase the price per countertop slab that the rep snuck in last time
2) to include floating cement, (cement baseboard & other under flooring as necessary should have already been included as it was on the original... not sure what all that money was going to otherwise) initially he only wanted to allow for a specific sqf
PM removed during the 2d meet without my wife's knowledge:
3) Insulation between the garage ceiling/bedroom floor (the very thing we asked for in the 1st place as 1 of the replacement projects)
The things we overlooked:
4) faucets for the kitchen sink and bathtub
5) permits, (taxes, & fees included... already covered)

Everything else was or should have been part of it. We just spelled it out to cover ourselves such as if gout came with tile and carpet padding came with carpet. To be fair and we did give the project manager a heads up on this: We were going to ask for 2 Addendum to the agreement:
A) If no asbestos were found in our ceilings, (our house was built in 1 year before the 1978 cutoff) Treeium would Supply and Install 10 Recess Lights in the Bedrooms as the project manager (not us) removed those from our scope of work and
B) Any monies saved in any other projects can be moved or utilized in other projects

With the above minor changes & what should have been far less than $5k work (maybe breaking even depending on the actual cost of material,) agreement went up $25K... this after removing original $20k+ of work for <$5.

Are they passing the cost of opening 2 new offices down to their customers through labor costs?

PM knew we didn't have another $1k much less $25k, they just wanted out of it... because we had their #? I guess we could try to make them stick to it. We do have a signed agreement for the lower price but they are not the type of company we want to do business with. The work would be crap. They would constantly come up with things that wasn't in the scope of the agreement just to be jerks. We're better off without these people who can't keep their words and who don't appear to be an honest company.

Oh... look them up on BBB. They have an action against them that is very hard to get. And yes, I understand it is in appeal.
