Travelup are SCAMMERS! Booked a flight with them in 2020, airline won't take passengers due to covid. I was issued a voucher and asked to claim voucher for cash refund after one year, over two years later no refund was given, I have over called and tired of calling customer service is zero. I promised a * that I will storm all travelup review site daily including social handles he said I should go ahead.
AVOID travelup LIKE PESTS THEY ARE SCAMMERS!

Worst Company

We were due to fly around the time the lockdowns started. We decided it was not worth it and we're afraid we would get stranded in New York which would have happened. I contacted travel up on 13/03 asking what our options were to not fly on 14/03... still no response. BA were offering flight vouchers so our friend who booked directly with them received hers weeks ago. I tried ringing at the time but of course that was impossible. They should have been contacting me as we were flying so soon after the announcement. I have tried contacting them numerous times but haven't been able to get a response yet they have the cheek to send me promotional emails. This was the 1st time I booked with travel up and it will certainly be the last. We are out £560 for a trip we couldn't take and received zero customer service. I can understand these are extraordinary circumstances but I have been ignored for 2 months now. Also travel up has emailed me about flight changes in advance and refused to use my correct name... instead referring to me as the male on the booking who was not the person who made the booking or whose name was in the email address. I would advise anyone thinking of using TravelUp to avoid it.

The provider "TravelUp" does not seem to have timely support and the website fails to mention rate expections from some countries (without an option to refund if issues occur).

TravelUp attempted to help this customer through the Sitejabber Resolution Center, but the customer did not respond

Dear Muhannad,

We are very sorry to hear of your poor experience.

In these cases from where a customer books using USD rates but the hotel has different rate exceptions, if our team notice this on the booking it will be flagged up. We apologise this was not flagged up, however it does mention this in our terms and conditions in the hotel section.

It is quite a rare case and there does not appear to be an automatic feature set up on the website to flag this, however we have responded to our IT department for future use as it would be difficult to rely on human control when we have thousands of bookings coming in.

I have been emailing and calling treval up to change my ticket date from 14thfeb 2022 to 7th march its been 5 days and got nonrespinse i wasted 35 pounds on international calls to treval up. Every time they put me on hold and then disconnect. I got an emergency and i need to inform my employer. Atleast some call me and change my date asap. I was on call again 5 min ago they put me on hold for 30 min and hagned up.my number is **************

No I had to cancel due to an emergency and with the times the way it is right now I think it's a scam that I wasn't able to receive my deposit back. I'm in the process of contacting better business.

As per section 7 of our terms and conditions which are agreed to at time of booking deposits are non refundable.

7. PAYMENT (DEPOSIT & BALANCE)
You will required to pay a deposit or make full payment at the time of booking (deposits paid to reserve travel components are non-refundable). When you pay an initial deposit the remaining balance must be paid on or before the due date shown on the booking confirmation email. We reserve the right to collect the balance from the card used to make the booking on the due date. If we are unable to collect the remaining balance on or before the due date your booking may be cancelled at a loss of all monies paid to date.

We apologise for any inconvenience that may have been caused at this time.

Terrible stay away

Booked a flight from Belfast to Wellington. Went to check in online the night before but wouldn't let me and told to check with airline. Flight from Belfast to LHR cancelled by Aer Lingus and they had told Travelup 3 weeks earlier. Started panicking as trip was due to leave in 20 hours. The next day(same day of flights) I was told I could have a refund or credit. No alternative at all except get my own way to Heathrow. Also told no refund for cancelled flight. Terrible service and caused alot of stress. STAY AWAY. IF ANYTHING CHANGES THEY WILL LEAVE YOU HIGH AND DRY.

Ad fraud - you click on an Adult Only choice for hotel, then they put you in Family!

Awful company. Avoid!

Please read this and be warned. If I could give this company a zero I would. Booking flights with them was easy, however that all changed when I had to cancel my trip. I was told - in writing via email - that I would get a full refund (minus £50 admin fee) within 6 weeks. 8 weeks later I contacted Travel Up again, they said they would chase the refund up for me. They then told me they had the refund and were going to transfer it to me. Then...nothing. I had to phone them yet again to find out what was happening and they said they couldn't transfer the refund after all and could offer me some vouchers instead (not even to the value of the flights)... I couldn't believe it! Ever since then I have contacted them over and over again, I have even tried to get in touch with the CEO but I am being blanked by the whole company. I have been advised by the Civil Aviation Authority to seek legal advice from the CAB which is my next step. Why oh why do I have to go through this? It's for £380 which is nothing to Travel Up but an awful lot of money for me and it is now 11 months that I have been trying to sort this out. The worst company ever. Ghosting your own customers in the hope they give up on their complaint is seriously concerning and is clearly their strategy which, in my view, is tantamount to theft. Avoid this company unless you know for sure that you will not need their help beyond buying flights through them.

I booked a hotel in Dominique for one night through TripAdvisor. I read through all of the disclosed statements and agreed to terms concerning use of data and sharing. After booking, I was notified about extra fees that would be charged $100 for each of the 4 adults. I immediately tried to cancel reservations and was told that the $400 in additional fees would still be charged. I was told to call and ask for a manager but was never put through, after staying on the line and no one answering. I said that I wanted a full refund as these extra charges were never disclosed before booking. The agent argued that everything was explained on the website, but this was not available to me when booking the hotel through TripAdvisor. I was told that all they could do was offer $200 discount. I said that I would agree to the $200 being taken off the hotel fee but would not agree to pay any extras. I received no reply after that so I am out over $300, thus resorting to canceling my card. My bank was notified of these fraudulent charges and is disputing these charges.

TravelUp failed to pay the hotel I booked through their website. The hotel manager and I attempted to contact the company and never got through to anyone. The hotel had no choice but to also charge me for my stay since they never received funds from this company. My credit card remains charged by both TravelUp and the hotel. There is NO HUMAN to speak to via their customer service line. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! THEY CHARGE YOU AND DON'T PAY HOTEL. I WILL NEVER USE THIS WEBSITE AGAIN. THEY ARE NOT BASED IN USA and the hotel had never heard of them. FRAUDS!
