Travel Up booked me into a hotel, that did not have any more rooms available. Then the hotel called me and said I needed to cancel and ask for a refund. I contacted Travel Up by phone and they said I needed to e mail. Which I immediately did. No answer that evening so I spent a sleepless night. The following morning I emailed both Travel Up and the hotel again. Fortunately the hotel made an accommodation with a much more expensive room and offered me a substantial credit. Hotel is a winner. Travel Up not so much…

I had to cancel reservation and I was chrged $341 cancellation fee. Other sites offer free cancellations.

Do not book with them. Even if you need to cancel due to a cancer diagnoses they will still charge you 100% There customer service staff act like you're a bother and they literally booked me into a Motel 6 that wasn't a motel 6 anymore. So I had no idea where my reservation is! This business is a scam in my opinion. They even told me that if I fight their charge with my bank that they would win. Horrible service. And I work in hospitality and it's ok to cancel a reservation without charging the guests.
