I stumbled across Tradesy and bought two YSL bags. I had subterranean expectations, but I took the chance since Tradesy gives a site credit. Both looked better than their photos. Then, I purchased a Gucci Britt, which is the type of bag that I always take with me when I travel, so I love it. There was a hundred dollar coupon, and the bag was described as gently used. I have yet to find any evidence of wear on the bag-it is impeccable.
Navigating the site was simple and easy. The filter feature is helpful to edit searches and look forward more specific details/items.
It would be good if some products had more details even though one can reach out to sellers.
I sold a FitBit Blaze - New - never even been taken out of the box. Sale went through and I chose the cash option instead of "store" credit. Tradesy emailed and said the cash would be in my account within 3-5 days. I then get an email about a week later stating the buyer returned the item. And because the item was "unapproved" they would not honor their payment. They are instead returning it to me. I looked over their "Terms and Conditions" and nowhere does it state the item has to be approved before you can receive payment. I'm sure if I would have taken the credit option as payment there would have been no questions asked, but because I wanted cash they are returning it to me even though there are several Fit Bits listed on their site as we speak. Who knows what I will receive back in the mail - maybe some broken piece that isn't mine... then what recourse do I have? A broken item and no payment as promised. I will never sell or buy anything on Tradesy again.
I have made several purchased over the last three years without a problem until this month, May, when I received an awful purse. I tried to return it but because the tracking receipt was lost by the postal service I was stuck with the merchandise. Tradesy would not make any attempt to help. Buyer beware!
After selling a $8000 gorgeous designer gown I got it back 5 week later worn and damaged beyond repair. They charged back my credit card 1 month later after I already spent the money on a ring from them.The ring had a flaw that was not described in the listing and I am still waiting for a return label 1 month later. Customer service told me the buyer of the dress had the right to return because of a wrong size. I provided them with an email from the buyer confirming the size and detailed dimensions. They did not respond.
What a fraud!
Stay away from this site.

I will not try to purchase anything from this company again! I made 2 purchases. Neither one was confirmed so after 5 days my orders were cancelled! How can someone advertise they have an item for sale and not have to sell it? I contacted Tradesy and they like to throw around "Quick Confirm" as their policy. Nothing quick or confirmed! After my first non sale they offered me a 20% discount so I tried again still no merchandise. Contacted Tradesy and the offered me $10 for my next purchase. You kidding me? What happened to the 20% that i really didn't use? I tried to contact the sellers to find the status of my purchases and messages were not answered. This is a horrible company to purchase from... STAY AWAY!

I would recommend reaching out to a seller prior to purchasing, as their response time is usually a good indication of how quickly they plan to ship. Again, I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

If you sell on here be prepared for them to always side with the buyer 100%. I clearly noted something in my description and was still forced to accept a return because the buyer did not read. Tradesy doesn't care, just like eBay did not care. This has happened several times. I'm closing my store of 100 plus items and selling through a consignment store. This place is a headache
I was reading the reviews some of the angry Tradesy users posted, and I decided to write a real feedback/review about TRADESY.
I am using this company for a year now, selling a bit but most of all buying stuff. The lady which put ON this business was very smart and practical. Tradesy is not only an online site to sell your older/not used clothing, but a site which educates the consumers. It is also a site where one can find real brands on sale for a quarter or half price, which make the whole transaction a bargain for the buyer.
I do not advise anyone to listen to what angry people are writing. It happened to me in the past that I had to return two bags, because simply they were not matching the description... for example one was not leather - the way the seller claimed...

With the recent fairly large increase in their commission percentage (9% to 14.9%) and the $7.50 flat fee on any sale less that $50, it's becoming impossible to use. As someone who doesn't sell designer brands on their website, the new flat fee is killer. I made pretty easy money before but I guess my run with Tradesy is over. Bye!
I am so mad I wont be selling on this site anymore. I sold an item the person was happy. 9 days and I am still waiting to be paid. Yet Tradesy got there money, I think they are taking advantage and getting all the interest then can in there bank account. I have called multiple times only for them to say its going through security checks. Yesterday I called and the lady said Ill get it fast tracked. You should get it by the end of the week. Thats not what it states on your site 3 to 7 days to be paid liars. I think they just took A shot to gain more money in there back account. They almost got $300.00 from my sale and its going to cost over $30.00 to transfer to my Pay Pal account. I am going to pull everything I have for sale on this scam site. Not happy at all with this company. So if I get my money by Friday it will be 11 days I waited. Really sick of this company and crappy service.
Loving this site Tradesy! Beautiful high end offerings at unbelievable prices! So far saved $60 in promos on top of huge discounts. Sellers are very quick to ship and orders are updated to let you know when to expect delivery. Was wary at first, since this was a "new" site to me, but I'm very pleased with everything!
I always have a great experience shopping on Tradesy and the staff is one of the best in the world! But my experience with this seller was just okay. I tried to ask the seller few questions before I purchased and they never responded. I'm a seller myself and no matter what I always respond back to all inquiries as soon as I receive them. I don't understand why some sellers don't answer potential buyers questions it only takes no more than 5 minutes of their time and would most likely increase their chances of selling their merchandise. So my experience with this seller was whatever but Tradesy I always give 5 stars!
I've been selling on Tradesy for a couple of years. I liked it at first, but they kept upping their commission. At this time they take 19.8% from the seller. That's quite a chunk of change!
This meant I had to raise my prices to make a sale which resulted in my sales dropping. Drastically! The other problem which is deeply frustrating is that it takes about a month after a sale to receive your funds. I'm accustomed to emailing their staff regarding that, but I get the same canned response about it taking "7 to 10 business days". I wish!
Timing was critical regarding delivery to me in MT. This was my first high end purchase & delay made me doubt my decision.
However, after reaching out to the Tradesy help staff, fears were elevated!

Bit of a delay in getting order shipped but this was not really in control of the seller hence drop of 1 star. Good comms and kept me informed about shipment. Nicely packaged and with a personal thank you note too. Would recommend.
Unfortunately did not know my LV was counterfeit until it was sold and authenticated by a more reputable company. Tradesy is corrupt and even though they say they authenticate the merchandise sold- it I lie otherwise I would not be stuck with a fake $#*! LV. $700 in the trash. I would have got more enjoyment burning the money. I will get them shut down if it's the last thing I do! By the way they say it's been authenticated but give you a 4 day window to return if it's no authentic. Sound hypocritical to me, Anyone who shops that site should stop immediately, nothing but con artists!
I loved my bag! It's as described it was also super fast shipping the seller replied to me literally in a few hours. Over All I loved my experience with Tradesy for being a first timer and will definitely be shopping for more
Did not allow me to return item even though they sent the wrong size. Horrible service! I requested an exchange from the seller and from Tradesy. The seller ignored all messages and Tradesy declined to honor my return, even though it was their fault, claiming I didn't send the right pictures in time. Now I am stuck with $400+ shoes that don't fit. This is why it pays to use a department store site or buy shoes in a real high end boutique. It costs the same and the service is so much better!

Always my go to site for my luxury item and high end fashion needs at great prices! Not "cheap" prices by any means but way better than paying full price! Easy navigation, wide variety of selections from shoes, handbags, dresses, make up, from high end luxury brands.
I wish I had taken the time to come to this site before I sold anything on Tradesy. High commission, then they "suggest" you take part in sale so that you get paid even less. Once you sell, you wait 21 days until your money is "ready", where you have to pay another percentage for the transfer. Then supposedly another 7 days before they even process the request. They sent mine to the wrong checking account so another month of waiting has ensued. I sold a bag on 8/6 and it is 10/1 and I STILL do not have my payment. Lesson learned - don't do it if you are thinking about selling.
Answer: Don't Do It! It takes at least 10 days to get paid. They prefer people that they can control. When you become successful, they will make upp a reason to suspend your account. TRADESY sell fakes, the owner is the closet owner of PENNY LANE It has been proven time and time again she sells Fakes. If you question TRADESY, they will shut your account down, and they do so WITHOUT even talking to you. Bunch of Bullies! Find an alternative. I AM IN THE MIST OF COMMENCING CLASS SUIT ACTION. Answer: They advertise a strict selling policy of authentic and accurate descriptions for listing. If by chance an item received is questionable, they have a review process to protect the buyer unlike many other sites out there.
Answer: It says that everything is guaranteed authentic but you have to know your stuff to know if it is authentic. Tradesy people don't see the items unless it is sold and the buyer complains about authenticity. So if you put your trust on tradesy, you are 100% WRONG and will get scammed.
Answer: Yep. Tradesy are infamous for holding your money! They will also refund a sale without any communication with the seller, they don't even tell you why. Tradesy hooked up with Authenticate First, these people don't know what they are doing. Well the messed up big time with my bag, see it was authenticated by a very reputable company. I have ALL my bags authenticated BEFORE I list for sale and of course have the documentation to prove it. The bag was in perfect shape. Tradesy are ignorant, unprofessional and teamed up with a company (authenticate first) who have their heads where the sun don't shine. Tradesy are totally so unprofessional they have not bothered to send me an email even notifying me of the refund, I only found out when I checked on the sales delivery date to find a little sentence that says "refunded". No explanation why, nor when I can expect my property back. Punks! I am still waiting to receive my bag back. I have read on other sites that Tradesy keep the returns and seller is SOL. One seller was screwed out of 2,500 and never received her property back. Tradesy are shady. Another seller has started a class uit action. It's about time Tradesy were taught a lesson and realized that they have no right to keep sellers property. Apparently they resell the items on another site. The person who started the class usit actin has proof of same. Ironically, although some were refunded allegedly for item being fake, they resell and state that it is authentic. I have removed all my items from this shady scam company. I hope the class suit action closes this scam company down!
Answer: Don't ever do business with Tradesy ever! Learned my lesson. Bought a Chanel bag that doesn't look like anything they showed. I took some pictures of what I received vs. what they showed on their listing. They still ignorantly argued that those are the same item. They refused to refund me back the money. I finally disputed it with the credit card company. Tradesy almost ripped me off of my $1,600

Answer: Eileen: There is not a feedback option on Tradesy as there is with ebay and Threadflip. If I were you, I'd contact Tradesy immediately. While the seller may have purchased a bunch of bags to resell, that would definitely make me nervous. How many days has it been since you purchased the handbag? The number of days that the seller has to confirm the sale may have elapsed so you'd be in the clear. We only have so many days to confirm that we will have the item will ship in a timely manner.
Answer: I would highly recommend you look at RealReal or even ebay as I have sold over 100 items on both and although there is occasionally that one off glitch, they do protect the seller and are very fair from a buyer perspective as well. Do not use Tradesy... everything negative you read in reviews is true unfortunately. I did finally get my money back from tradesy as a seller, but I threatened them to no end and actually emailed the CEO... RUN from this site... save yourself the craziness of poor business practices. Answer: I just had a worst experience with customer service also. I bought a chanel bag over $3K and the condition of the bag received was not the same as what was listed. The authentication card was also missing and there was no dust bag as listed. When I tried to complain & return the item, Blair said that the bag left the headquarters in perfect condition. How did the two big black marks were there within 5 second I got it if it left the headquarter in perfect condition. Instead of trying to solve the issue with the seller about the auth card, she said I could re-list the item to recoup the fund? There was no sign that the item was on final sale. If I knew there were no authentication card and the item was on final sale, I would not spend over $3K for the bag. It was the worst experience of customer service they've had. Lesson learnt and I will not do any business with this site anymore. I will write to BBB and I hope people will do the same.
