Tradesy generally enjoys a positive reputation among customers, particularly for its user-friendly platform, quality product offerings, and effective communication throughout the buying process. Many users appreciate the variety and affordability of items, often highlighting the meticulous packaging and attention to detail. However, concerns arise regarding inconsistencies in item descriptions, delayed shipping, and customer service issues, particularly regarding returns and authenticity claims. I am a Canadian customer and was looking to purchase a wallet from another Canadian consignment company online. I clicked on a local site that said "shop online" I was re-directed to "Shop Hers". I found a wallet I liked and clicked to purchase. After 5 days of no communication I called the seller directly and they informed me they would need to send the wallet to San Diego to have the wallet authenticated then Shop Hers would send it to me. Not only did I have to pay in USD from a Canadian seller and company but am also on the hook for customs and related fees. When I contacted Shop Hers and informed them that I wanted to cancel my order and I would pay for the item to be returned to the seller and pay the 10% cancellation fee I was pretty much told tough luck that I didn't read the process and that the sale is final but that I am welcome to re-sell on Shop Hers. I wanted to shop with a Canadian business to spend CAD and not USD and to avoid customs. Worst communication, now email is just not answered as if they are ignoring me and hoping the problem will just go away. Pretty much stuck paying $400 for a used wallet that I could have bought first hand for $100 more. Disclosure! Disclosure! Disclosure! A word Shop Hers clearly doesn't understand.
I sold a designer bag on shophers.com August 30,2015. It's almost 30 days later. I still haven't received my payment. The bag sold at $725 and they take 18 percent. So why haven't I received my payment as of yet. I had emailed them and Blair responded with sorry for the delay. Since then I have been emailing and calling that BB shopher.com number. I left a messages and no one has responded. I entrusted in this business and now I am fearful to ever do business with them again. I need my payment. Order number 408-*******.
I sold my T&Co jewelry (Order Number: 408-*******) and it was delivered to Shop-hers on Sept 8. I still have NOT received any payment from shophers until today, which is the 10th business day or 14th day. All my previous payments were received LATE too! I can't even contact their customer service because there is NO number to contact and NO ONE is responsding my email since yesterday. I left a comment on their facebook page yesterday, and they took it down when I checked today. It seems that they BLOCKED my facebook account. So today, I used a different facebook account to leave the same comment on their FB page. It seems that they have forgotten my right to my own money.
Will Shop-hers ever pay men? Is there any agency I can complain this matter to?
I sold a pair of Valentino rock studs pumps for $700 and never received my payment. I have sent numerous e-mails and voicemails but no response SMH. I have open a case with the BBB, IC3 and local police. Please beware of this company!
Great items, so easy to sell! Way better then Ebay and Poshmark! Returns go back to Tradesy if item is as described. No more dealing with Buyer's Remorse! Such a clever idea!
There couldn't possibly be a worst customer service than this one. They are rude, short, and offer virtually nothing to the customer. They only respond via email and basically might as well tell you to F-off. I wouldn't dare spend my money on this site. Aside from that, the deals are also really bad and they offer no promotions to compete with other websites just like this one.
THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE: I did my research and looked at reviews before I bought and I took the chance. I recently bought a Pochette small Louis Vuitton Clutch in monogram and I was really worried I would receive something fake or not what I ordered. I got it exactly the day it said I should get it. The clutch looked exactly as described, yet I am still not sure if it is fake or not because I've never owned a Louis Vuitton before but I actually really like it especially for the price I paid! I recommend it, and I hope everyone has the same good experience I did!
Purchase made on 9/7.9/16 no proof of shipping and Lizbeth from "customer service" of no help only telling me to contact them tomorrow to ask for a refund "IF seller has not shipped yet". No explanation, nothing. Well of course she hasn't shipped. She doesn't have what she needs to ship! Seller tells me it's Tradesy's fault because she hasn't received a shipping kit from Tradesy. Unbelievable that this company is in business given the stellar operations of other e-commerce sites who have been doing this for a long time and value the confidence, trust and time of their patrons.
After selling a $8000 gorgeous designer gown I got it back 5 week later worn and damaged beyond repair. They charged back my credit card 1 month later after I already spent the money on a ring from them. The ring had a flaw that was not described in the listing and I am still waiting for a return label 1 month later. Customer service told me the buyer of the dress had the right to return because of a wrong size. I provided them with an email from the buyer confirming the size and detailed dimensions. They did not respond.
What a fraud!
Stay away from this site.
Ebay is so much better..
Hello Raisa,
Thank you for your review. I believe you have been put into contact with our returns team. Please keep that line of communication open for further information regarding this situation. If you need their email address, you may reach them at returns@Tradesy.com.
Have a great day.
After horrible Ebay experiences, I started selling on Tradesy early 2014. I started selling one or so items per week. Then perhaps 2-3. Little traffic was acceptable for less problematic buyers.
Several weeks ago I received a buyer message that I sent the incorrect size on an item. I apologized profusely and Tradesy returned the item to me. I expected to be tagged for the return shipping cost and of course if I made an error would expect to pay-I received the wrong item and wrong size.
Evidently the buyer exchanged my new with tag size 6 designer item with a dress by the same designer; different dress and different size.
I heard they were wooing eBay sellers now and their customer service will probably go further downhill.
So, I'm canceling my account before the proverbial "stuff" hits the fan.
Interestingly enough, my first purchase from Shop Hers was not a bad experience but the second one was appalling -- they have the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. First issue -- no one ever answers the phone at the office and despite repeated messages, no one ever called me back. I even sent a message via LinkedIn to one of the Founders (Jacklyn) and she couldn't be bothered to email or call me back. I asked repeatedly via email that someone call me and was ignored. The website does not give any explanation of the shipping process or offer to upgrade your shipping (something I offered to do to get my bag sent to me while in the US) -- nope, they do it one way and screw you if you want to pay to expedite your order. It takes them days to actually get back to you and they pissed me off so badly with their appalling service that I just up and cancelled my purchase. Here's the new rule of thumb Shop Hers -- communicate with the customer when and how they want to be communicated to. And, when you are selling expensive luxury goods for heavens sake pick up the damn phone and call the buyer back -- how stupid can a company be -- apparently, if you are Shop Hers, mensa level stupid. Beware of Blair -- she's appalling...
It's odd to read so many negative reviews, especially about their customer service. I mostly sell on SH, and have been paid promptly for the items. As far as buying from them, I bought what looked like an awesome sweater, marked "M". When it arrived and I tried it on it fit more like an XS (although that is the fault of the lister). The sweater also had an overwhelming cheap perfume stench, so I returned it. Customer Service was totally understanding, and I didn't have any problems. I would recommend them.
They have left me disappointed and frustrated. The first Burberry bag I orders was advertised as "minor signs of wear", but when it arrived, there were very noticeable bubbling between the canvas and the coating. I returned it but asked for my "first time" discount to be reinstated, as I hadn't really completed the purchase. Blair refused and just repeated that the bag was in the condition as advertised. Wrong. If it hadn't been REALLY bad, I wouldn't have returned it, because I loved the bag and returning it cost me at least $50.
The second purchase is perhaps worse. I used my credit (no, not the discount, which wasn't returned to my account) to buy a modest Burberry, which was what I could afford. It arrived in excellent condition, but I don't think it is authentic. There are several signs that point to this; it may not even be a good fake. I've e-mailed a concern to the customer service, with no reply. This is the one thing they advertise a guarantee - that items are reviewed for authenticity. I want to return this fake, but doing so will cost me (all in all) about $100. So, I feel stupid having spent about $150+ just to be hosed by this shopping site and get nothing in return.
I have been selling on Ebay for years. However, with so many sellers and issues with returns and rip off buyers I slowed down. I have been using Tradesy for about 9 months and my stuff sells much faster (both high end designers and Zara) I also receiver my money faster. Easy way to clean out your closet and make some cash. I love it
My advice is be more than 100% sure before you order from the site. Final Sales are non returnable even if there is damage. If you have been foolish enough to make an error regarding the sizing then you will be accused of maliciously damaging goods for a refund!
Read my exchange with SHOP HERS Blair Porter:
Hello,
I'm sorry but that damage was not there when these shoes were sent out to you. They were listed as brand new and in perfect condition. Our inspectors would never over look wear such as that. It's quite concerning that you were looking to cancel this sale before it was fulfilled and now you have received the heels and there is damage on the item which was not there when we shipped out.
I'm sorry but we cannot honor the request for a return. You are more than welcome to re-list the heels within your own closet for sale to recoup the funds.
Regards,
-Blair...

To Shop
Hi Blair
I knew this would happen and suspected as much because I had enquired about the cancellation. It's sad that you think I would damage them within minutes of getting them. Like I said lesson learnt shame it was this way, they actually fitted better than I thought. If you check the time fedex delivered it and I sent the message you will realise. As a lawyer my integrity is worth more to me than to make a false claim.
Regards

CUSTOMER SERVICE Shop Hers
*******@shop-hers.co
I sell on two sites and and very successful on one. Tradesy, over 90 sales of Chanel and other high end designers. As for SHOP HERS, in the last 8 months, only one item. Their customer service is so awful and when my only item sold (Chanel wallet) they gave many excuses why there was a "hold up" in my payout. Now I've had two sales on Shop Hers, in June and yesterday but the were cancelled and the person writing to notify me is not only illiterate but rude. He signs his name Timothy Jun. He said they were cancelled due to fraud. Tradesy verifies transactions before they even notify you that your item sold, but Shop Hers is saying they don't. And when fraudulent buyers are detected, Tradesy deletes their accts. I checked today and both buyers with supposed "fraudulent credit cards" on Shop Hers, have accounts (closets) still open and active. There is something very seedy about Shop Hers. I think they have some very unethical business going on.
I am glad that so many have found the review helpful and a great data point. To date Shop-Hers has yet to totally do what they said they would do. Hence my update.
Some people claim to have a good experience with Shop-Hers I don't know if they are "real people" or not (the majority of their reviews on their very own social media pages suggest otherwise) but I see them like this, You know how you can go to a restaurant a couple of times but then you visit that third time, you get food poisoning? How likely are you to go back?
Reports of items being sold that are not authentic, money not forwarded to sellers after the product has been sold and mailed, unauthorized credit card charges (Because they do keep your bank information), non existent customer service, merchandise not being forwarded as described (soiled or in disrepair) and merchandise not being forwarded at all are not worth it to me. There are other sites that offer the same service as Shop-Hers but with a better reputation. Shop-Hers buyers have little to no protection without having to involve your bank or another third party and who wants that aggravation?
I have been selling on Tradesy about 9 months with over 50 smooth, flawless sales. I am so sorry for the buyers that have had a negative experience from Tradesy and some of the sellers. I love the way they give discounts on purchases from time to time without having the seller having to take the discounted price.
I have been selling on eBay for 8 years and was looking for another platform and this has been 5 Stars for me. I treat everyone honestly and sell nothing but authentic NWT item that I selected from brick and mortar stores. Again, apologies for the few that have not been honest and I hope I get a chance to have a transaction with you so you will know how it is supposed to be done. Greg B
Tradesy absolutely sucks. No, not because it offers nice things, but because I got scammed. Pretty recently, I sold a very nice bag for a fraction of the price. A very high-end luxury bag that normally costs upwards of 2,000 USD. It was purchased in less than a minute.
The buyer claimed it was misrepresented, sent it back, and I didn't get paid. I eventually got the item back and the item sent back to me was a replica. Thanks for stealing my stuff Tradesy.
Not to mention the product that was sent in also was missing a few items. It was NOT the condition I sent to her. I have a feeling it is the same buyer scamming lots of sellers by claiming misrepresentation and sending the item back after it was used. After all they have 10 FULL DAYS to send it back in, and our earnings are put on hold for that long.
Hello there,

I have sold 10 items in the past 3 weeks right out of my closet and I have purchased 1 awesome pocketbook. This company is an awesome concept! They are organized, professional, available for any questions and concerns. The exposure to designer items at great discounts is like no other company. They protect both buyer and seller... I just can't say enough... Tradesy ROCKs!
Answer: Don't Do It! It takes at least 10 days to get paid. They prefer people that they can control. When you become successful, they will make upp a reason to suspend your account. TRADESY sell fakes, the owner is the closet owner of PENNY LANE It has been proven time and time again she sells Fakes. If you question TRADESY, they will shut your account down, and they do so WITHOUT even talking to you. Bunch of Bullies! Find an alternative. I AM IN THE MIST OF COMMENCING CLASS SUIT ACTION. THEY NEED TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON!
Answer: They advertise a strict selling policy of authentic and accurate descriptions for listing. If by chance an item received is questionable, they have a review process to protect the buyer unlike many other sites out there.
Answer: It says that everything is guaranteed authentic but you have to know your stuff to know if it is authentic. Tradesy people don't see the items unless it is sold and the buyer complains about authenticity. So if you put your trust on tradesy, you are 100% WRONG and will get scammed.
Answer: Yep. Tradesy are infamous for holding your money! They will also refund a sale without any communication with the seller, they don't even tell you why. Tradesy hooked up with Authenticate First, these people don't know what they are doing. Well the messed up big time with my bag, see it was authenticated by a very reputable company. I have ALL my bags authenticated BEFORE I list for sale and of course have the documentation to prove it. The bag was in perfect shape. Tradesy are ignorant, unprofessional and teamed up with a company (authenticate first) who have their heads where the sun don't shine. Tradesy are totally so unprofessional they have not bothered to send me an email even notifying me of the refund, I only found out when I checked on the sales delivery date to find a little sentence that says "refunded". No explanation why, nor when I can expect my property back. Punks! I am still waiting to receive my bag back. I have read on other sites that Tradesy keep the returns and seller is SOL. One seller was screwed out of 2,500 and never received her property back. Tradesy are shady. Another seller has started a class uit action. It's about time Tradesy were taught a lesson and realized that they have no right to keep sellers property. Apparently they resell the items on another site. The person who started the class usit actin has proof of same. Ironically, although some were refunded allegedly for item being fake, they resell and state that it is authentic. I have removed all my items from this shady scam company. I hope the class suit action closes this scam company down!
Answer: Don't ever do business with Tradesy ever! Learned my lesson. Bought a Chanel bag that doesn't look like anything they showed. I took some pictures of what I received vs. what they showed on their listing. They still ignorantly argued that those are the same item. They refused to refund me back the money. I finally disputed it with the credit card company. Tradesy almost ripped me off of my $1,600
Answer: I do not shop with tradesy any longer. FAKE prada duffle bag and im done.
Answer: Eileen: There is not a feedback option on Tradesy as there is with ebay and Threadflip. If I were you, I'd contact Tradesy immediately. While the seller may have purchased a bunch of bags to resell, that would definitely make me nervous. How many days has it been since you purchased the handbag? The number of days that the seller has to confirm the sale may have elapsed so you'd be in the clear. We only have so many days to confirm that we will have the item will ship in a timely manner.
Answer: I would highly recommend you look at RealReal or even ebay as I have sold over 100 items on both and although there is occasionally that one off glitch, they do protect the seller and are very fair from a buyer perspective as well. Do not use Tradesy... everything negative you read in reviews is true unfortunately. I did finally get my money back from tradesy as a seller, but I threatened them to no end and actually emailed the CEO... RUN from this site... save yourself the craziness of poor business practices. Best of luck to you!
Answer: I just had a worst experience with customer service also. I bought a chanel bag over $3K and the condition of the bag received was not the same as what was listed. The authentication card was also missing and there was no dust bag as listed. When I tried to complain & return the item, Blair said that the bag left the headquarters in perfect condition. How did the two big black marks were there within 5 second I got it if it left the headquarter in perfect condition. Instead of trying to solve the issue with the seller about the auth card, she said I could re-list the item to recoup the fund? There was no sign that the item was on final sale. If I knew there were no authentication card and the item was on final sale, I would not spend over $3K for the bag. It was the worst experience of customer service they've had. Lesson learnt and I will not do any business with this site anymore. I will write to BBB and I hope people will do the same.

Hello Sandra,
I apologize for the negative experience you had using Tradesy. To provide the explanation you weren't given when you called, Tradesy is not able to cancel an order on our end until after 10 days of the purchase date. I cannot speak as to the whereabouts of your sellers kit. Occasionally, a kit will be lost in transit to the seller. If this happens, the seller may use a free printable label to get the item to their buyer.
Hopefully this one negative experience has not deterred you from giving Tradesy another try.
