Really disappointed with Tradesy return policy, recently I sold an item brand new with tag a week ago, now I got return notification from Tradesy ( return back to me due to price above fair price) omg, i just got my item return and I just realized that buyer used couple days and tag has been removed, etc, I can't believe this, return my item not original condition, I even can't resell it for NWT, really disappointed of Tradesy return policy! This company makes me scared to trust!
Stay away!
Horrible experience, the seller sent a totally different items than the one on the pictures and on top of that this company refused to return my money and just gave me a store credit to obligate me to continue buying from them. Buyers beware, even tho according to their policy they will return your money if you don't receive what you order, they don't honor what they say and keep your money no matter what. Communication with them is terrible they ignore your messages and they magically reply when you decided to use the stupid credit store for not loosing your money, simply saying that because you used part of your credit they cannot return your money any more... scammers!
The site has a tremendous amount of items, but despite your filter settings, some items that do NOT fit the description get through. Also, you cannot filter by gender. Be that as it may, there is no shortage of bags to look at. The prices range wildly, but so do the conditions of the bags. Buyer beware, though, my Seller used very "cleaned up" pictures, and a description that made the item seem better than it was in reality. Thankfully, Tradesy has an easy return system. I am a person of integrity, but not all Buyers are like that, so I can totally see this system of return being used, and hurting a Seller, though; just thought I should mention that.
I had my first sale on Tradesy April 2015, so I have been on for a while now. In that time, I have had 2 previous return requests. One for fit in 2015 and another for supposedly damaged, but it was sent back to Tradesy for review and deemed not damaged. The items returned for fit was kept by Tradesy as originally advertised. I had been happily selling along since. Until this month where something has changed. In the last 3 weeks, I have had 3 items returned to me. One pair of pants, supposedly for fit, a pair of high heels just came back and I just now got a message about a third, a pair of boots. The pants I was told was returned to me and not kept because they were sold under $150. Um, I don't remember that being an issue. They were sold for $110. The two shoes I am being told is that I priced above Market Value. Um, who is to determine MP? How often does it change? How am I to keep up with it? If a buyer pays for it at my selling price, itsn't that MP? This seems like nothing more than a way for Tradesy to snake out of their original terms of they take possession of the item and me the seller gets to keep my funds and move on unless I made a mistake. I don't have time/money to be an online dressing room. I am selling a few items from my home as a small reseller business, not a multi-billion dollar brick/mortar with online site competitor. I came to Tradesy and spent time and watched and said nothing at my Fees were raised (Used to be less than 10% in fees; now over 19%!) because of what I thought were great terms. Now I feel I need to walk away because it is too risky. I was also shipping on my own because I thought it was better customer service vs the buyer waiting days for me to get their packing supplies and then waiting for delivery, and now I am out over $50 in shipping these 3 items and I am terrified my last few sales are gonna be coming back as well. Upsetting day
I just love my LV weekend travel bag. Will buy again in the near future. I'm thinking about getting my mom a purse for Mother's Day.
Love the app it's friendly and easy to use. Buying options are awesome! Sellers were attentive and responded quickly. Product was just as the seller had described.
This was my first-time purchasing items on Tradesy, I was unsure what to expect. When I received my items, they were exactly as it appeared in the pictures and the quality of items were authentic with new tags. The sellers sent items within the time frame they said that I would receive. Packages were packed very professional. I feel very confident purchasing high end items from sellers involved with Tradesy. This is an AWESOME site to shop on and I will purchase again from Tradesy and refer my friends and family.
Three weeks since purchase and still haven't received my item. Finally my item got shipped today. I went in to track it only to realize it's been shipped to a different state.
Tried contacting the seller, but the seller has been completely unresponsive. Would never use tradesy again. Horrible site. Their customer service is not much better either.
They stole the money buyers paid me. 2_months later they can't track the money that 4_buyers paid me.
Tradesy seems like a great place to sell... they say they will take back returns and resell for you, allowing you to keep your earnings from a sale. However they always have an excuse not to take a return, this has been a big problem recently, and allows buyers to take the 4 day return window, wear the item, and return it or claim it was inaccurately listed. If Tradesy won't follow through on their promise to take returns for you, they offer nothing that every other selling site offers... except higher fees.
Return process is now horrible! For sellers and buyers they make it very difficult. The customer service is also horrible and non responsive. EBay, poshmark, therealreal and Mercari we all better options!
Tradesy is one of the best sites I have found to shop on. It has great choices of quality items at great prices. They also have discount sales off and on. This site is very professionally run & I feel confident purchasing high end items from the ones involved with Tradesy The pictures & descriptive information is very helpful in letting you know everything about the items available. I also like that you can (Save) pictures of favorite items to view later. It's the most amazing site & I feel confident in referring Tradesy to anyone who loves shopping on line & who loves quality items at great prices.
I bought a used Louis Vuitton purse off of Tradesy & after about 10 days one strap & an interior feature broke. I've had other LV purses/accessories for years without issues; I care for my products. This one was on the verge of breakage when it was sold to me but did not say so in the description. Tradesy would not allow a refund or trade because it was past 4 days but would allow me to re-list it. Wow, not only do they not care about their customers but they want us to pass on BAD MERCHANDISE for their benefit.
PSA: *******@Tradesy at all cost! It has gotten worse than Craigslist (and that says something). Some of you know, i am a bit obsessed with collecting wristwatches, and have been buying/selling them for fun on #Tradesy for a few years (as well as other websites). The main reason i chose to use their service was because they promise seller protection. After 2 years of using them, i was scammed by somebody (still not sure if Tradesy messed up or the buyer), but long story short, the buyer returned the watch to Tradesy (who then promptly decided to withdraw substantial money from my bank account (without informing me: reason sited: your listing was not properly described). The person (or Tradesy) clearly, took the watch bracelets, and sent back the watch to me in non-working order. Tradesy then explained that they have no proof of what i sent, or how accurately i described it, and there is discrepancy between the heading, text and pictures. After taking 19% commission for 2 years +3% for convenience fee and making at least 3k of me, when it comes to protect the sellers (based on who your whole business is based), you choose to just cop out? They offered to send me "40 dollars" after somebody had broken the watch and stole the bracelet... If you are ever looking to sell something that costs more than 40 dollars on their platform, don't. They don't care about their customers, and offer no real protection. Even when i send the VIDEO/PICTURES of what i provided, they still don't care? I am not sure how a business like this can survive, but at least don't risk getting scammed and avoid at all cost. This is the first time since Facebook was created, i post a message like this to warn people, but please, be careful and tell your friends. Don't buy / sell on there, since there is NO actual protection. PLEASE SHARE with your network - companies should NOT be allowed to miss treat the customers who keep them in business.
This bag has been sold out at Louis Vuitton. Louis Vuitton informed me that they no longer have a waiting list. The bag I found on this site is NEW with tags 2019! Shopping was a fun experience! Saw many other bags that are on a waiting list with Louis Vuitton. Some of those bags are also new with tags and boxes.
I have a GOYARD designer handbag it's 1000% percent authentic I had it inspected prior to purchase it's brand new never used sold it to a buyer on this site waited 2 weeks now it has been flagged as a fake designer bag and funds returned to buyer. I have no idea where my $2000. 00 designer bag is and I'm freaking out. No response from Tradesy or the buyer. Im worried this buyer switched out my handbag and is now returning a fake. Something is seriously wrong with this situation I'm stuck in. Completely unfair to the seller!
The worst experience as a professional seller I've ever had. Allowed buyer to return damaged shoes claiming I shipped them that way- a lie. Holds funds up to 21 days claiming it's in the system and they can't do anything. Then the excuse they've released them and blame my bank. I sold 25,000 on this site prior to their changes with no problems but now it's a total nightmare snd you can't trust them.
If you're a seller please don't use Tradesy! Walk away.
If you wanna wait for your earnings months go ahead sign up.
If wanna receive unexpected returns after weeks of the purchase date, go ahead sign up.
I am writing this as a #warning to anyone that wants to purchase high priced items on this *******@tradesy
I recently order two pairs of Christian Louboutin Shoes from 2 different sellers under 1 transaction. The first seller was quick to confirm sale and shipped the item within 2 days. The second seller never confirmed her order and responded 2 days after the sale to inform me that the shoes were not in her possession! She needed to obtain them and would not be shipping for another week! Leaving my $ in limbo!
I requested she cancel order 3 different times and she never responded to my request.
I reached out to customer service to be told that unfortunately there is nothing they could do and that I would have to wait to receive shoes and re-list them.
I was floored by this response and I really do not understand how this is possible considering they have the sellers comments confirming she is an incompetent and deceitful seller. The shoes are not even in her possession and in fact she admitted to me that her friend had them and was using them, so my shipment was going to be delayed. I am shocked at how horrible Tradesy treats their customers and I am removing my listings as a seller... I just wanted to share my story as a warning to anyone that is considering purchasing through this site.#buyerbeware.
Tradesy has started returning items to the sellers that are under $150, and keeping the commission fees. It is bad enough that they are taking a month to return things but to keep the fees is criminal.
Answer: Don't Do It! It takes at least 10 days to get paid. They prefer people that they can control. When you become successful, they will make upp a reason to suspend your account. TRADESY sell fakes, the owner is the closet owner of PENNY LANE It has been proven time and time again she sells Fakes. If you question TRADESY, they will shut your account down, and they do so WITHOUT even talking to you. Bunch of Bullies! Find an alternative. I AM IN THE MIST OF COMMENCING CLASS SUIT ACTION. THEY NEED TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON!
Answer: They advertise a strict selling policy of authentic and accurate descriptions for listing. If by chance an item received is questionable, they have a review process to protect the buyer unlike many other sites out there.
Answer: It says that everything is guaranteed authentic but you have to know your stuff to know if it is authentic. Tradesy people don't see the items unless it is sold and the buyer complains about authenticity. So if you put your trust on tradesy, you are 100% WRONG and will get scammed.
Answer: Yep. Tradesy are infamous for holding your money! They will also refund a sale without any communication with the seller, they don't even tell you why. Tradesy hooked up with Authenticate First, these people don't know what they are doing. Well the messed up big time with my bag, see it was authenticated by a very reputable company. I have ALL my bags authenticated BEFORE I list for sale and of course have the documentation to prove it. The bag was in perfect shape. Tradesy are ignorant, unprofessional and teamed up with a company (authenticate first) who have their heads where the sun don't shine. Tradesy are totally so unprofessional they have not bothered to send me an email even notifying me of the refund, I only found out when I checked on the sales delivery date to find a little sentence that says "refunded". No explanation why, nor when I can expect my property back. Punks! I am still waiting to receive my bag back. I have read on other sites that Tradesy keep the returns and seller is SOL. One seller was screwed out of 2,500 and never received her property back. Tradesy are shady. Another seller has started a class uit action. It's about time Tradesy were taught a lesson and realized that they have no right to keep sellers property. Apparently they resell the items on another site. The person who started the class usit actin has proof of same. Ironically, although some were refunded allegedly for item being fake, they resell and state that it is authentic. I have removed all my items from this shady scam company. I hope the class suit action closes this scam company down!
Answer: Don't ever do business with Tradesy ever! Learned my lesson. Bought a Chanel bag that doesn't look like anything they showed. I took some pictures of what I received vs. what they showed on their listing. They still ignorantly argued that those are the same item. They refused to refund me back the money. I finally disputed it with the credit card company. Tradesy almost ripped me off of my $1,600
Answer: I do not shop with tradesy any longer. FAKE prada duffle bag and im done.
Answer: Eileen: There is not a feedback option on Tradesy as there is with ebay and Threadflip. If I were you, I'd contact Tradesy immediately. While the seller may have purchased a bunch of bags to resell, that would definitely make me nervous. How many days has it been since you purchased the handbag? The number of days that the seller has to confirm the sale may have elapsed so you'd be in the clear. We only have so many days to confirm that we will have the item will ship in a timely manner.
Answer: I would highly recommend you look at RealReal or even ebay as I have sold over 100 items on both and although there is occasionally that one off glitch, they do protect the seller and are very fair from a buyer perspective as well. Do not use Tradesy... everything negative you read in reviews is true unfortunately. I did finally get my money back from tradesy as a seller, but I threatened them to no end and actually emailed the CEO... RUN from this site... save yourself the craziness of poor business practices. Best of luck to you!
Answer: I just had a worst experience with customer service also. I bought a chanel bag over $3K and the condition of the bag received was not the same as what was listed. The authentication card was also missing and there was no dust bag as listed. When I tried to complain & return the item, Blair said that the bag left the headquarters in perfect condition. How did the two big black marks were there within 5 second I got it if it left the headquarter in perfect condition. Instead of trying to solve the issue with the seller about the auth card, she said I could re-list the item to recoup the fund? There was no sign that the item was on final sale. If I knew there were no authentication card and the item was on final sale, I would not spend over $3K for the bag. It was the worst experience of customer service they've had. Lesson learnt and I will not do any business with this site anymore. I will write to BBB and I hope people will do the same.
