Tradesy generally enjoys a positive reputation among customers, particularly for its user-friendly platform, quality product offerings, and effective communication throughout the buying process. Many users appreciate the variety and affordability of items, often highlighting the meticulous packaging and attention to detail. However, concerns arise regarding inconsistencies in item descriptions, delayed shipping, and customer service issues, particularly regarding returns and authenticity claims. While the majority of experiences are favorable, a segment of customers expresses dissatisfaction with the handling of disputes and the accuracy of listings, indicating a need for improved oversight and support.

They just came out with a new policy, and now are accepting returns but returning the item back to the seller. While only giving the buyers store credit. Their return policy is now worse them ebay, especially for sellers. They're using the excuse that they can not determine fair market value.
SELLER BEWARE. ( They took away the funds and never returned the item back)
I will be pulling all my listing.
I've had really good experiences as a buyer - all of the items I've bought came well wrapped and in the condition that was stated. I've purchased beautiful handbags, dresses and sweaters etc. In many cases, the quality is excellent (some new with tags!).
I would recommend as you can ask the seller questions about the products before you purchase.
I did however try and sell some of my items and nothing but may try again in the future!
They hold your funds 20 days after the sale and blame it on a computer when they were able to over ride the computer and release your money to your account. Now they have 3-4 work days and mainly work iphones and answer email. We need a full service company that we can speak to actual people and not wait 48 hours for a call back when you have an issue!

As a seller who has sold over 300 items on Tradesy, here are my thoughts on selling on this platform: Outside of having a few (3) items returned to me: (one for "wear" on a DISTRESSED brand new purse... sigh), another regarding sizing issue (I clearly told what size the item was, so that return was a bit frustrating), and the 3rd return was my fault (a defect which I missed), the actual selling process has been quite pleasant and I've had many nice interactions with buyers. What has NOT been pleasant as a seller: receiving my funds. It is absolutely ridiculous how long Tradesy holds on to a seller's money (2-3 weeks!). Then after your funds are released, it takes almost another 2 weeks for your funds to get to PayPal! On Poshmark, once the item is received and accepted, the funds are automatically yours and having them put in your bank usually takes 1 day... not 2+weeks! In addition, Poshmark does not charge extra to deposit your funds into your bank. Tradesy charges 2.9%! The ONE great benefit of selling on Tradesy is this: you don't have to deal with returns (like EBay). With Tradesy, if the item was not misrepresented, they take the return and then credits the buyer's account to use on site and the seller keeps their sale. When Tradesy first started, it was my favorite platform to sell on-you could price your items well and make a nice profit. However, bit by bit, Tradesy has increased their seller's fees to now it is about 23% of the salethe most expensive site to sell on! I wish I could price my items better, but I can't unfortunately, because Tradesy takes such a high percentage of the sale.
Do not sell on Tradesy! They do NOT HANDLE RETURNS! It's
All big fat lie! All Returns even past 3-4 weeks after the funds have been
Released are sent back to sellers under different ridiculous excuses. Now they
Say an item that was sold 4 WEEKS ago and for which you had funds released is
Being returned b/c it SOLD HIGHER THAN THEY THINK IT SHOULD HAVE SOLD! If that
Is not ridiculous I don't know what is. They do NOT have the expertise to
Authenticate either. They do NOT issue certificates of Authenticity when
Requested as they know if they do that they will ultimately get sued for
Inaccurate incompetent Authentication services they claim they provide. And
Even when you think you lucky enough to have your funds released 3 weeks after
The item was delivered, think again, b/c they will pull your money if you are a
Verified seller if there was a return filed. STAY AWAY.
Tradesy changed their policy and will return any item returned by a buyer if Tradesy ARBITRARILY determines that the price is too high.
This is absurd. Tradesy motivates buyers by saying they take anything back; no questions asked. So buyers can "test" items and decide to return if they don't like the item. Well, now they are sticking the returns Tradesy "deems" priced too high back to the sellers.
And what is too high? If someone bought the item to start, they thought the price was reasonable. They likely aren't returning the item because of price; they are most likely returning it because they don't like it. (They probably wouldn't have bought the item if they thought the price was too high.)
Plus, they are returning the item after almost a month, which is a killer if you are a company and maintain accounting and inventory systems. Month end results are totally screwed.
Furthermore, if Tradesy is trying to get prices down, its high commission rate (up to 22%) will make the sale of never used goods impossible.
This is totally inappropriate. Tradesy is obviously having inventory turn issues and, as a result, financial problems.
If they don't want items back into their inventory and are arbitrarily sticking it back to the sellers, Tradesy needs to establish guidelines. (Having none is very unprofessional.) Sellers should have guidelines and the option to list items that are priced outside those guidelines as "non-returnable"
UPDATE: TRADESY IS NOT GIVING BACK THE MONEY TO THE CUSTOMERS WHO RETURN ITEMS. THEY ARE KEEPING THE MONEY AND EXTENDING A CREDIT. THIS IS UNETHICAL
I just viewed a NoeNoe LV bag on Tradsey listed for a price of 1749. 75 supposedly a 25% discount. HA. The retail price for this bag on LV website is 1590. 00. If it ever reads COCO Luxury run like hell, These are shipped from China.

I have sold items on Tradesy for almost 10 years... have also bought jewelry and a few handbags, also. All were as advertised and were perfect, absolutely no problems. As a seller, I have sold approximately 65 items. I love Tradesy because it is a fairly easy process to list your item. In all this time, I have only encountered one problem... someone thought the t-shirt I sold was a "men's" tshirt. It was a Kliban cat t-shirt and I bought it for me (a female). So, I didn't really understand but OK... Anyway, people on this site giving Tradesy one star because of one bad transaction is only hurting all of us honest sellers. I don't think that is fair. 9 times out of 10 transactions have no problems. The 2 Louis Vuitton handbags I purchased were great deals and they were exactly as represented on the site. Just use common sense and look at the pictures.
Love Tradesy!
I just recently sold a small Lambskin Chanel classic flap which is in mint condition. The buyer decided to return it to them because it was too small for her liking. We were in contact with each other via the site so I think it is safe to say she would've told me if she felt the condition of the bag had not been listed properly. After they received the bag from the return, they are claiming that the bag shows substantial wear and that the wear was not displayed properly in the photos. This is absolute BS. The photos were close up shots and very accurately reflected any wear on the bag. So they are liars and cheats. They don't want to have the burden of trying to sell a $5000 bag. They're also claiming I listed the current retail price inaccurately. Well so does everyone of tradesy. I've seen people list Chanel bags for $10,000 knowing full well they retail for half of that. They suck and take forever to give you your earnings for any sales. They don't release your money for 21 days. And then they charge an addition 2.9% for transferring your money into your back account. So they take 22.9%
The site was accurate and the purchase was easy. The product arrived in new condition with tags on promptly. I would buy from this seller again!
Worse return policy ever. When bride saw dress a week after receiving, the color swatch was not the same as dress I received. Seller misrepresentation. Upon contacting customer service they "checked into it" and said nothing they could do because outside of 4 day window. No response from seller when contacted. I'm stuck with a lovely bridesmaid dress in the wrong color in addition to the correct one I had to purchase because of Tricky Tradesy's lack of concern for their customers. Won't be tricked again and I hope others will be aware of bad business!
As a seller and buyer, this place is an scam. As a seller they keep your fund for over two weeks and refund sales for the minimum reasons so the seller is never protected from buyers that change their minds.
As a buyer they sale FAKE items, so beware of purses and jewelry. This woman and her business are just disgusting. Taking my business to The Real Real.
I have purchased a few Louis Vuitton bags and also a LV keyholder from Tradesy, and every single time I was always able to buy excellent products in almost brand new condition for great prices. Whenever I had questions the sellers were always helpful, sometimes even uploading more pics for a very accurate description. I'm definitely happy with Tradesy!
I've been dealing for Tradesy for a few years and have no complaints. I've been very happy with every purchase. I did return one item because it was just too small for my taste. My account was credited, no problems
Thank you Tradesy for making designer bags affordable.

This site is a fraud! Do not sell anything here!
No protection for the seller.
I recently sold a designer item worth several hundred Dollars. Customer claimed it was dirty, which it was not. I have pictures and documentation to prove my case.
I was then returned a COUNTERFEIT item.
No resolution with customer service or management.
I am reporting them to better business bureau and other agencies and am considering legal action.
Stay away!
FAKE products. Do not be fooled by their statement of standing by authenticity. And when you return the item with proof that what they sent was counterfeit, they keep your money. Shop elsewhere! Do not shop here! FAKE FAKE FAKE
FRAUDS! This wasn't my first purchase with tradesy, usually smaller less pricey items. Then I decided to buy a pair or "gently used" Louboutins. The listing clearly states that the seller put "red rubber soles to protect the sole for wear" only to find out that the seller actually cut away the whole sole and replaced with a rubber sole. When I disputed the purchase, since it was clearly not what was advertised they claimed that's how you protect the sole, by cutting it out. Makes perfect sense. Save your money, they're frauds!
Answer: Don't Do It! It takes at least 10 days to get paid. They prefer people that they can control. When you become successful, they will make upp a reason to suspend your account. TRADESY sell fakes, the owner is the closet owner of PENNY LANE It has been proven time and time again she sells Fakes. If you question TRADESY, they will shut your account down, and they do so WITHOUT even talking to you. Bunch of Bullies! Find an alternative. I AM IN THE MIST OF COMMENCING CLASS SUIT ACTION. THEY NEED TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON!
Answer: They advertise a strict selling policy of authentic and accurate descriptions for listing. If by chance an item received is questionable, they have a review process to protect the buyer unlike many other sites out there.
Answer: It says that everything is guaranteed authentic but you have to know your stuff to know if it is authentic. Tradesy people don't see the items unless it is sold and the buyer complains about authenticity. So if you put your trust on tradesy, you are 100% WRONG and will get scammed.
Answer: Yep. Tradesy are infamous for holding your money! They will also refund a sale without any communication with the seller, they don't even tell you why. Tradesy hooked up with Authenticate First, these people don't know what they are doing. Well the messed up big time with my bag, see it was authenticated by a very reputable company. I have ALL my bags authenticated BEFORE I list for sale and of course have the documentation to prove it. The bag was in perfect shape. Tradesy are ignorant, unprofessional and teamed up with a company (authenticate first) who have their heads where the sun don't shine. Tradesy are totally so unprofessional they have not bothered to send me an email even notifying me of the refund, I only found out when I checked on the sales delivery date to find a little sentence that says "refunded". No explanation why, nor when I can expect my property back. Punks! I am still waiting to receive my bag back. I have read on other sites that Tradesy keep the returns and seller is SOL. One seller was screwed out of 2,500 and never received her property back. Tradesy are shady. Another seller has started a class uit action. It's about time Tradesy were taught a lesson and realized that they have no right to keep sellers property. Apparently they resell the items on another site. The person who started the class usit actin has proof of same. Ironically, although some were refunded allegedly for item being fake, they resell and state that it is authentic. I have removed all my items from this shady scam company. I hope the class suit action closes this scam company down!
Answer: Don't ever do business with Tradesy ever! Learned my lesson. Bought a Chanel bag that doesn't look like anything they showed. I took some pictures of what I received vs. what they showed on their listing. They still ignorantly argued that those are the same item. They refused to refund me back the money. I finally disputed it with the credit card company. Tradesy almost ripped me off of my $1,600
Answer: I do not shop with tradesy any longer. FAKE prada duffle bag and im done.
Answer: Eileen: There is not a feedback option on Tradesy as there is with ebay and Threadflip. If I were you, I'd contact Tradesy immediately. While the seller may have purchased a bunch of bags to resell, that would definitely make me nervous. How many days has it been since you purchased the handbag? The number of days that the seller has to confirm the sale may have elapsed so you'd be in the clear. We only have so many days to confirm that we will have the item will ship in a timely manner.
Answer: I would highly recommend you look at RealReal or even ebay as I have sold over 100 items on both and although there is occasionally that one off glitch, they do protect the seller and are very fair from a buyer perspective as well. Do not use Tradesy... everything negative you read in reviews is true unfortunately. I did finally get my money back from tradesy as a seller, but I threatened them to no end and actually emailed the CEO... RUN from this site... save yourself the craziness of poor business practices. Best of luck to you!
Answer: I just had a worst experience with customer service also. I bought a chanel bag over $3K and the condition of the bag received was not the same as what was listed. The authentication card was also missing and there was no dust bag as listed. When I tried to complain & return the item, Blair said that the bag left the headquarters in perfect condition. How did the two big black marks were there within 5 second I got it if it left the headquarter in perfect condition. Instead of trying to solve the issue with the seller about the auth card, she said I could re-list the item to recoup the fund? There was no sign that the item was on final sale. If I knew there were no authentication card and the item was on final sale, I would not spend over $3K for the bag. It was the worst experience of customer service they've had. Lesson learnt and I will not do any business with this site anymore. I will write to BBB and I hope people will do the same.
