Avoid this scam of a company. They outsource all of their writers, support teams, and services from different countries. They'll take your resume, throw it into a chatbot or some AI software, and call it a day—you'll end up with a generic, robotic, and essentially useless resume. I don't think I even spoke with a single person who lived in the US, which is an issue because if I'm recruiting for jobs in the US I think it is necessary for a writer who has experience in the US. This company just cares about its bottom line. Stay far far far away.
I used TopResume to update my resume after being in the same position for over 10 years. They helped me to bring it up to date and also make it where it could be used in various positions. Feedback and review was excellent and I would definitely recommend and use again!
I signed up for their service. Several days later I received an email letting me know it was delayed. Then I received another email, apologizing for the delay.
At this point, I requested a refund. Suddenly, my draft arrived. By this time, I wanted nothing to do with the company as it seemed unprofessional and a bit "scammy."
Now they're refusing to refund the money and claiming they delivered on time, despite the initial emails apologizing for it being delayed.
There are other service out there... Use them!
After many years of using the same resume format, I decided it was time for a new resume reflecting my experience, and that would work w the technology in use by HR software, etc. The writer was a pleasure to work with, very responsive and I would recommend their resume service.
Extremely receptive to my ideas and what I was seeking to achieve. Fast turn-around time for the rough draft and completed product. I wish I would have done this a long time ago. I would recommend Top Resume to anyone looking to make themselves stand out in the current job market.
I think the LinkedIn should be included as it's a copy and paste job. I basically waited for them to create one and give me the log in or ask for my log in but mostly had to take from the resume. The only real benefit was copy/paste of some of the bullet stars; however, it doesn't format correctly and took a lot of time to try and get a formatting that never really panned out. It's too early in the game to determine interview/profile view wise. I have reposted resumes and sent out some but no responses.
I also had no real expectations other than what were my own. Part of it was a series of questions that helped me answer or realize some of my own strengths. So, it's kind of like thank you for helping me help myself... sort of. I've never had to really rely or need a resume so I didn't know what I needed. All I know was my last one didn't sell me enough but unsure about this one at the moment.
I had my CV and cover letter revised by TopResume and in general I was satisfied with the result. At first, they left out some important part of my experience probably in order to fit the information in one page, but after some iterations this was solved. I wanted to include the information because in my opinion it was vital for the kind of work I am looking for.

The response and turn-around time was impressive. I enrolled in the program on a Saturday morning and wasn't expecting a first draft until at least Tuesday. I had a first draft of my resume and cover letter sitting in my inbox in less than 24 hours! The communication with my writer was easy and each draft's turn-around time was quick. I am rating this service 4/5 stars because after 1-week of applying for jobs I still haven't received any call backs for an interview. [I know this isn't necessarily a reflection of the quality of service, just that my info. May not have been reviewed by employers yet.]
Response times from the support team and writer are extremely slow. 4 hours to respond to a chat message? Outrageous. That being said the writer did a great job on my resume and application materials.
Top Resume has been a terrible experience for me. After receiving one very rough draft of a resume from my writer and immediately providing feedback, communication was ostensibly cut off. Days would go by and when I requested the latest draft, I was told I would receive it "soon." After about 2 weeks, and their deadline for feedback passing, I requested a refund because none of the deliverables from my order has been received. Their reply was that they provide "intangible goods" and therefore do not give refunds. I told them that a complete resume is a very tangible good and it had been delivered.
They continued to deny a refund and I have been forced to ride it out with my resume writer replying sporadically. It all feels like an expensive scam at the moment and customers appear to have no meaningful recourse when the product(s) they ordered are not delivered.
The resume looks good at first glance but once you read the content of the resume it's very disappointing. The person who did my resume didn't take the time to read the information I had given them about my previous work experience so everything was very vague because they didn't know anything about my pat work experience. I have not received an interview and it has been over 3 months. I had to pay someone else to do my resume and was able to get an interview within 2 weeks.

The document is editable so it can grow as my career grows.

I've been assigned 3 different writers and have received a subpar product back each time, written by someone who's first language is clearly not English. The best part, I paid $100+ for a "LinkedIn Rewrite" and this was where the writer copied and pasted their version of my resume into the boxes for LinkedIn. You've got to be kidding me... Don't waste your money!
