I bought the Executive package. My writer sent the first draft which was terrible to say the least. After I emailed some revision examples he sent me a "finished" draft, which was...well it sucked. My suggestion is to anyone that has had Top Resume build them a resume, send them the resume that they wrote for a free critique and see what they say about their work. This is where I am right now waiting to hear back on how bad it is!

The resume writer took my current resume and basically changed the order of the words. It was pretty much the same resume I wrote myself. The present job description was written in past tense. The writer used to different fonts, neither easy to read. Very unprofessional.

Had no issues, ease of use website which is great. My assigned writer was knowledgeable and took the time to answer some of my questions and concerns. Will recommend to anyone who has a hard time writing their own resume like I do. Will return again.

They gave me a poorly formatted resume that was full of misspellings and grammatical error. All of the bullets were full of filler and other nonsense. Any hiring manager would have binned that resume for how bad the resume was. The cover letter I received was generic garbage that they probably copy and pasted from a template.

Please do yourself a favour and just avoid this company! They probably do not provide refunds because they know that their writing service is so bad.

It is copy and paste service that does not actually do anything for you.
Submit your current resume, answer all the questions and it compiles it all into a new resume with everything you type. Then adds key words for a position you want even if it is not in your resume. Basically they lie for you to get what you want but then you also do not know what your own resume says.
I even paid extra to speak to someone and after a half hour conversation, was asked to type all the changes I wanted them to make. So basically you pay for your own work. They didnt even send me a first edition for 9 days and then the second version that had many errors was not sent until the last day to make changes.
When I responded 3 times with changes, I never heard back.
Customer service responded once to my concerns but after responding to them 3-4 times, I again, never heard back.
After downloading my resume so I could make the changes that were obviously wrong, Microsoft Word also alerted me of numerous spelling and grammar errors that the "professional writer" produced.
I thought using this service would save me time and frustration while giving my resume the best possible look that employers are currently looking for, but after two weeks and having to correct all of the work they did, as well as paying hundreds of dollars, I am doing it myself.

Worst service ever.
Just use ChatGPT or write it yourself.

I am moving from one field of work to another after many years as a teacher. I realized I was not even getting looked at due to the way my old teaching resume was written. I had a few jobs I wanted to apply for and needed help quickly. I clicked on the free critique and what I was afraid of was confirmed. I quickly jumped in with both feet and asked for help in rewriting my resume and cover letter.
Prior to using TopResume, I was getting no interviews or any communication. I have applied to 3 places since and had 1 interview so far. Patrick was my assigned writer and did a great job of conveying the best parts of me. The only down fall is not being able to talk with them on the phone. It was hard to communicate my concerns and have them understood at times. But we got there after several revisions.
