I came back to job seeking after 10 years of employment and realised that my CV in it's current state was not up to standard for today's Job Market.
My tired out dated CV was transformed into a sophisticated and interesting document that used appropriate language to emphasize my skills and knowledge, while keeping the essence of who I am and my way of working.
After receiving the first draft, there were a couple of areas that I disagreed with. After highlighting these the final result was a perfect portrayal of my skills, experience and myself as a person.

From the look at TopCV I wasn't really sure if this was for me however, after their free CV review I realised that my CV really did need some professional help. I then carried out some research to find other companies in the same field and after carrying out comparison between TopCV and its competitors I decided to trust TopCV with my CV as they were financially more suitable and they offered an interaction scheme where I could discuss my CV with a specialist.
I was very happy with the services that they provided. The specialist that was assigned to me was very open-minded and took my comments into account to create a CV that I was really happy with. I would really recommend TopCV and i definitely see myself using their services in the future.

If I could have left zero stars I would have. I paid for the executive level service and what I received was absolutely unusable. Despite confirming it would be written in British English beforehand, it was written using American spellings. I provided a significant amount of supporting information from which to draw and yet what was sent over as a "first draft" contained sentences and comments which appeared to be from someone else's CV as it was not even truthful! I refuse to spend any further time helping CVNOW to "rewrite" the CV to a usable form as it is so far off of usable, I may as well have saved my money and written it myself - which frankly appears to be the intention of CVNOW whilst also pocketing my cash. An ABSOLUTE waste of time and a rip off. I was told I was working with their most senior writer, used to writing director level executive CVs, yet when I complained about the low quality and lack of attention to detail, and the writer not having taken any time to fully understand my skills and experience in order to effectively promote them, I was told maybe I would prefer to work with a more senior writer? No CVNOW - what I would prefer is for you to refund my hundreds of pounds today - and for everyone to know what to expect from this service - it is not worth the money in my opinion and definitely NOT an executive level service!

I have taken time to write this review. My CV was rewritten about 6 weeks ago and I was very excited to receive my very costly in ZAR terms, new and revised CV. I have subsequently applied for approximately 100 vacancies. Yes sometimes I was shooting with a shot gun or taking a chance with an application but many were accurate single shots. The result was 3 phone calls and not a single interview. I have also submitted the new CV to other companies for review and have not received a positive remark. So it seems that every CV review company only believes that theirs is good and all the others are not. I suppose that this is also a marketing opportunity to get the person to have their CV rewritten by the reviewing company for a fee.

One recruitment company said that my CV didn't have sufficient details so I sent them my "old" CV and they advised that it was much better as it was more detailed.

In closing, I suppose that CV's are of personal taste and what is one person or recruiters champagne is another's vinegar.

Ive never had to write a CV before, as all the jobs Id previously had required an application form. I did the best I could looking at the advice I found on the internet and submitted it. I was amazed at the feedback I received back. The critique was very to the point, but made a lot of sense. Its not always easy to sell yourself or to receive critisism, but you need to look past that and see that in a strange way its all positive. Once I follow the recommendations given, I dont think Ill recognise myself and the fact that this is a free service is just the icing on the cake!

Using the service of CVNow has helped me tremendously. It is not a daily activity to create a professional CV about yourself. I believe we all know ourselves which means we are able to create a draft about ourselves. After sending in this draft to CVNow, they transformed it into an awesome CV. The core message about my personality is the same however CVNow did change the following:
- Changed my Doing Language into "Achieving Language"
- Created a professional layout
- Revamped my Linked In with specific details to make it more professional and attractive
- Created a great Cover and Thank you letter

I have used all these immediately and it has been worked awesome. Also I feel more comfortable as I now know that I am able to present my self in a proper and professional way for business.
