I took advantage of the promotional option TopCV had to have my CV evaluated by a professional for FREE (which was great), since I've been on the market for a long time now and have not been successful at all to get any interviews. I was feeling confident of my CV, but clearly something was wrong. The reply I got from them was very specific and detailed, it really looked like they put in a lot of thought to review my CV, and had done so from multiple angles. I feel the feedback I got was very critical, but also necessary. All the points are very accurate and I now know what I need to change in order to make it better. I do however believe that I will likely end up using one of their paid services, as at this point (after 8 months on the market), I really feel that it's going to be worth the money.

No phone calls or consultation to discuss your focus and key attributes or even career ideals.
You get assigned a CV consultant who doesn't communicate just sends you a standard scripted email.
All very very cold service, absolute waste of time and money
There is NO REFUND policy or any attempts to address your concerns, the support people pass you to the CV Consultant who just sends out standard system generated emails.
All for £219!
Crooked Service

I submitted my CV on Friday evening and had a response the next day so I was impressed by that alone. The comments were helpful and informative and gave me tips to improve specific aspects of my CV. For a completely FREE service, you can't go wrong. I took the advice I was given and spent the whole weekend re-designing my CV and updating it. It was extremely helpful to see my CV in a new light.

Hi, My colleagues and I are technology professionals who wanted play around and see how genuine this site. We all submitted our CVs (6 in total) written and lied out differently. We all pretty much got the same result. I am not going into the details how the 'robot' works behind this, but it is very basic so you are not really gaining anything high class. The fact the website using Katie Warren to make it more personal is a shame as it trying to come across as our CV was review by an actual person. I don't know what honest service provider would choose such misleading technique? Therefore, I have no trust to give my money for such business.

TopCV helped me realize that too much is exactly that, too much.
Recruiters and/or potential hiring managers do not want to waste their time reading through pages and pages of what might be possible useless information.
Hence Traci, the lady who worked on my CV, took time to ask me question and understand my particular situation. Only then did she put together an AWESOME CV for me, that recruitment agencies are now contacting me constantly to find out if I am still available.

I went to TopCV as i was time strapped and needed my CV reworked (at their suggestion) and sent back to me in a professional, as if it was me format. What i got was not only wrong the way the edited it, they also reduced my working life by 16 years just so they could fit my CV onto one page. I am 50 years of age, i do not fit onto one page for goodness sake. I paid £170 for the most boring, uninspiring, incorrect piece of crap and when i complained, they just ignore me and refuse to event give me a partial refund. I am taking the matter further. Be very, very careful if you decide to use them. If you want a mundane, boring short edit of your working career, they'll do it just fine. If you want an individual, well written and visually impactful service, forget it, they're utterly dreadful.
