The company enjoys a generally positive reputation for its unique subscription boxes filled with a delightful variety of Japanese snacks, praised for their quality and reliable, fast shipping. Many customers appreciate the thematic approach and informative booklets included with each box, enhancing their experience. However, concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly issues related to auto-renewals and a lack of responsive support when problems occur. While many customers express satisfaction with the product, frustrations about billing practices and inadequate assistance suggest a need for improved customer service protocols to enhance overall satisfaction.

I loved the soda and the packaging of some of the candies was adorable! I loved the bus, the faux coke can, and the camera shaped boxes were great.
Everything in this box was incredibly delicious. A bit more expensive than I would like but that's understandable as it comes all the way from Japan. If I wasn't cheap and on a diet most of the time I would love to get this every month.
This was my first time trying Tokyo treats and was not disappointed. The variety was amazing and the informational booklet describing the snacks and culture make me want to subscribe for many more months
I love these treats. Me and my kids get to bond over a box and it is a blast. I dont let them eat them all in one day. We spread it out and pick a new one every day till its gone.
So many treats and all are good! They usually pick some amazing noodle snacks but they have sweet and savory covered.
While the products are passable and occasionally enjoyable, the company is deceptive with poor customer service. They do not respond, and they increase service changes by hundreds of dollars without any warning.
My partner signed up for this service a year ago, and selected to not renew the service. At that time, the charge was around 300$. They charged us 540$ with no warning, which we are in no financial position to cover.
I am beyond furious at this company and want to warn other consumers.
I signed up for a 12 month subscription and got my first box today, it's worth every dollar, I can't wait for next month's box. And it got here so quickly
Super fun subscription box. This is my first time ordering something like this and it was such a pleasant surprise. Packed full of treats I've never seen before. I'm very excited to try them all! Only one item didn't quite survive the mailing process - rip full moon pon salted cracker. Still going to enjoy eating the crumbs!
Ignore your responses, charge your account beyond contract, be prepared to have to deal with your bank to get away from these scum.
Meine Premium-Box kam in der Ferienzeit superschnell und enthielt einige tolle Leckereien, von denen ich gerne noch mehr bekommen würde!
I always look forward to the different Kit-Kat flavors in each box and this months box is probably my favorite I've ever had!
Amazing brand and great products! Different selections every time that are always tasty! Fast shipping as well
This is a scam company.
The items are low quality and are not worth the price at all. Once you are subscribed you cannot leave, they will hold you hostage and offer NO refunds at all.
One of my boxes never arrived, so as 'compensation' they tossed in a 12 yen (1p) item as an apology. This was insulting and offensive on all accounts, so I am now in the (difficult) process to get my deserved refund and cancellation.
Stay away from this company.
The shipment was incredibly fast in my end, aside from that the amount of amazing snacks, drinks, treats, and candy that arrive inside is immaculate! Having a theme every month really spicies up and gets you hyped for what other mysteries treats are to come!
Do NOT do business with these people. If you have a problem, they do not care. Once they have your money that is all they care about. I signed up for a year, to get the discount, and figured I'd be charged monthly what was stated to me as the cost per box, plus shipping of course. NO, they charge for EVERYTHING up front right then and there. There's no going back once the payment has went through their system, or so they claim. EVEN if the payment is still pending, they won't touch it, I have no idea why some businesses are able to stop and refund and some can't, or won't. I even started all this BEFORE the first box even shipped. After several emails trying to resolve this problem so I could go back and just do 1 month, yes I sadly still wanted to before all the back and forth seeing what they really are, they even told me if I don't get the box when it arrives, they will re-ship another, at MY expense. I am not the only person who's been through this with TokyoTreat either, and I really wish I'd found them before deciding on trying this box. I'll never do business with them or any of their other affiliates, and I'll share my experience with anyone thinking of doing it. They need to change their ways and charge PER MONTH on their plans.
Me and my boyfriend recieved our second tokyotreat box, we bought our first last year for valentine and since then we decided to make it a "tradition" every year because they were AMAZING! There is lots of variety and tasty things and its really fun to share them. Recommend!
I subscribed because I was interested in trying different kinds of snacks aside from the normal boring kinds im used to. So far they have not disappointed in that aspect. There are so many different kinds of foods to choose from. In the April 2022 box my favorite thing was the heart shaped cherry flavored pocky. Very delicious.
In late 2019 I saw an advertisement for TokyoTreat, some of it looked interesting so I did a year subscription. Around March 2020 the boxes stopped, I understand due to covid that there are delays, in December I received an update, If I want to receive the remaining 5 boxes I have to pay and additional $12.50 per box or I could wait until the whole covid stuff settles down. I opted to wait as I have already spent $500 Australian (Not knowing the price was not in an Australia currency). Every few months id ask for updates and they'd go ignored and marked as "resolved" on their website. Today the 19th of March 2022 an emailed appeared saying a payment had failed, I checked my account and noticed they tried charging me another year subscription without my knowledge or consent. Luckily the details on my account are attached to old old Paypal that are tied to an expired card. I've attached an image, notice how my original subscription was in September 2019 and they skipped over 2020 and 2021?
I purchased a 3 month subscription for a gift for my brother. I get an email saying i am being charge $140 to renew my subscription. I called them up and told them i didnt want to renew. They told me that was too bad essentially and that i agreed to the terms. Nowhere does it say it will be an automatic renewal. Whatever. I asked for them to cancel the next two boxes and they said they couldnt refund me because of their terms. Thats a crappy excuse. It's completely up to them if they want to return my money. They just didnt want to. Look over their terms. Pretty much they can charge you whatever they want without telling you. Do yourself a favor and buy the boxes on amazon or go with a more reputable company. From the looks of the reviews their service is universally awful
Answer: It is one of the worst ones out there. If anything goes wrong they refuse any sort of customer service. No refunds, no placements even if the box never arrives.
Answer: It usually takes days to get a response & only through email. Quite frustrating.
Answer: I had both TokyoTreat and a similar service at the same time, and I consistently found the value and variety of TokyoTreat to be better than the other subscription.
