For the two or three of you that haven't become acquainted with Canada's worst kept secret, Tim Hortons is the way millions of Canucks start their day.
In the drive through, standing in lines that seemingly never end, you will literally find every type of Canadian waiting for their "double doubles".
Starbucks might have a cache of hipsters seeking the brewed art of its barista specialists; at Timmies (you're a true Canuck when you use the label), its coffee, fresh and hot, with maybe a doughnut or sandwich on the side.
To deprive a Tim Hortons patron of their "fix" is not unlike taking crack away from an addict. Yes, Tim Hortons truly has that level of loyalty.
Tim Hortons in the last couple of years realized that restricting payment methods to its patrons was a mistake, so now, you can haul your Interac card out of your wallet, and get that shot of Java any way you please.
So, to wrap up this little review, Tim Hortons is well-loved for one reason. It's just coffee, made the way you like it, with no apologies.
Drink up, be a great Canadian!
Tip for consumers: If you want a first thing in the morning cup of Tim Hortons, or something at lunch, be prepared for long lineups.
Off peak, it's generally busy, but no so much so that it's inconvenient.
I always ask for two cups, because Tim Hortons, at the point of this review's submission, has no cup rings to help keep your fingers from being heated up. If you're bringing a travel mug, just be sure it's lid is off (they don't touch the lids normally).
