I'm giving one star for the fact that there's many problems. #1) this roll up the rim is absolutely unfair. You might as well just get rid of it. Don't even have this game. Your computerized it for one, I have bought coffee after coffee every time this roll up the rim promotion comes out. Over and over and over. Not a winner not a winner. I bought so many coffees. Since this is come out, I've spent at least over $100. One free coffee. #2) you make this all computerized through an app. This should be roll up cups like it used to be. This is unfair for the fact that there are a lot of people out there, including elderly people that do not have a cell phone with data. This makes them not eligible on their purchases to win anything. That is wrong. #3 this skill testing question you need to put in in order to claim a prize, that is also wrong. I know a few years back I won $100 gift card on the roll up cup. I answered the question wrong by accident and I lost out on that prize. This is wrong and discrimination because there are people out there that have disabilities that cannot do these mathematical questions or whatnot. They have purchased their product fair and square and you won't give them a prize based on their disability. That is very discriminatory. Every single day I get rushed at the drive-thru, I'm trying to have my points card scanned. And I'm having the debit machine throwing in my face before they even scan it asking how I want to pay. A lot of times after I pay they've confused me so much. I drive away without my product. I have to then turn around. Wait back in line to do this over again because they want to say 3 seconds on drive-thru time because of corporate head office. Also with this nonsense about espresso machine not working. Constantly no matter what location I go through in Brampton, I go through the drive-thru at busy times in the morning and afternoon to get my coffee with espresso shot added. I'm constantly told oh our espresso machine is broken. That is an absolute load, they want to stick to the drive-thru times because head office is making them keep their drive two times 30 seconds or less or they get penalized. I know this is false and they're lying because every time I've told that they're espresso machine is not working, I parked the car I walk in. I order the espresso in my coffee... And guess what? Nothing wrong with the espresso machine. They make my coffee with espresso. My my. You know this fraudulent games got to stop. You got to stop over working these employees like this. I know it is 100% not their fault. It's the corporate big shots that want to make that extra 100,000 in their pocket every year at the expense of hard working people that are overworked. Second, you might as well just get rid of this roll up the rim because you know what it's totally rigged, manipulated and unfair. And it is very unfair to people that do not have mobile data that they cannot claim any prize. Because of that, they are purchasing customers and you need to make it fair for everybody, including disabled people that cannot answer these guilt testing questions. Tim Hortons has gone so far down the drain since America took over this chain. It's just ridiculous. Just scrap the roll up the rim. You're going to cheat no matter what so just get rid of it. Don't waste the money putting it out because this pointless all you do is cheat.
I worked at McDonald's many years ago. There were 3 work stations. And a Manager working to ensure those stations were well coordinated.
The goal was to try to maximize Quality - Quality of the food, and also Quality of Service.
It really wasn't rocket science:
1) Window/Cash: Stand at the cash. Greet the customer and take the order. Obtain payment. Prepare the drinks and get the pre-prepped food items. Take the next order. (The above is done with purpose, and/or quickly).
2) Drive Thru: An Order-Taker who takes the order, and obtains payment at the drive-thru window. And a Runner who gathers food and drinks for the drive-thru order. (The above is done with purpose, and/or quickly).
3) Grill/Kitchen - When an order for food items requiring cooking/prep comes in, prepare the food items. Send them up for the Window or Drive-Thru. (The above is done with purpose, and/or quickly).
4) Shift Manager - Helping each station to work efficiently and with purpose, and to achieve a standard of quality. Meaning good food, good service - which includes speed and accuracy.
Presently, the majority of Ottawa Tim Hortons locations are just dismal at accomplishing the above. For the customer, the consistently slow overall service is extremely frustrating.
It appears that there are no Shift Managers present much of the time, to ensure the stations are working efficiently and with purpose. Because if there were, they might ask themselves some useful questions - for example:
- Why is it taking minutes for Window staff to get to the cash and take the customers order?
- Why is it taking minutes for Window staff to then pour the coffee and obtain the pre-prepped food?
- Why is it taking minutes for Drive-Thru to take the order when the car pulls up?
Etc.
Tim Hortons: we're all long-time customers, and you've been better. Personally, I'd like to be able to grab a quick cup of coffee like I used to. Why is this a 5-10 minute experience?
As the customer, is it too much to ask to be greeted by a cashier instead of waiting minutes? And then waiting minutes for the coffee to be poured into the cup and served? Likewise, in the drive-thru…
So many times, after placing a simple and small order, I've noticed how much faster the experience would be, if I could just go around the counter, dispense the coffee, and grab the donut myself.
It's really getting to be too much to justify being a patron. I'm obviously not alone.
Is that how you want it to be, Tim Hortons?
Had lunch at TH ordered Tim's double bacon burger with chicken & lettuce fries, location Park Royal,
The burgers meat was boiled tasting grey in colour, overloaded with mustard to drench out the taste of boiled water burger, the bun was super cheap
The chicken tenders was awful I would say Icelands chicken tenders are far superior & wholesome these taste like a packet of seasonings terrible!
Had 3 bites of the burger tried my very best to finish it but I wasn't able to as I was starting to yak, the Lettuce fries was gummy & sticky nothing like ChickFiLA that they tried to copy,
Everything was cold & just awful this was today 10th August it is now 9:30pm my son & I both have upset stomachs & terrible repeating burps that are just awful un able to eat anything it has ruined our day! Feeling awful I will make a formal complaint,
If they used proper quality ingredients with flavour & not 20 people behind the counter checking TIKTOC it wouldn't be a problem, however in this day & age they should be super happy kind that anyone is walking in there restaurant
Canada you shouldn't be proud in your Tim Hortons it's Awful STAY AWAY
