The Mine Reviews Summary

The company has garnered a mixed reputation, with some customers appreciating the competitive pricing and timely delivery of certain products, which has led to repeat business from a few satisfied clients. However, a significant number of reviews highlight critical issues, particularly regarding service delays, lack of accurate stock information, and inadequate customer support. Many customers expressed frustration over unresponsive service, difficulties in processing returns, and unresolved order issues, leading to a pervasive sentiment of distrust. Overall, while there are positive experiences, the prevailing trend indicates a need for substantial improvements in customer service and transparency.

I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing from these crooks. I ordered a Vinotemp wine fridge over a month ago, realized they already charged my credit card and was told that the manufacturer keeps pushing the backorder date further away. Terrible customer service, terrible business policy, STAY AWAY! How are these guys still in business?!

Very unhappy with this company. I ordered two expensive lamps which were received 'not as advertised'. They were sitting slightly crooked on the bases. I was given authorization to return them and have never received the $390 in credit that I am due and was promised. I've called and emailed numerous times. Emails are not answered and calls asking to speak to a manager are met with "you may not speak with a manager". Website proclaims 'hassle free returns' - what a joke! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

WARNING: DO NOT BUY FROM ATG STORES OR YOU WILL REGRET IT! I purchased a TV stand from ATG Stores. It showed up broken and was so poorly made I couldn't believe it. It was made like a piece of cheap IKEA furniture and had ripples in the finish. You had to put it together and some of the holes didn't even line up correctly. I called ATG customer service (or lack thereof) and they act like they don't trust their customers as you must take photos of the furniture you are unhappy with and send them to them which I did. Then they said I must pay the return shipping (more than $50) in order to get a refund. So they sell me a horribly made, broken opiece of furniture and now I have to more more than $50 in order to get a refund. I threw the furniture in the trash (where it belongs) and NEVER AGAIN will do business with them..

Unfortunately I purchased through ATG's store before reading all of the negative reviews on it!

Absolutely an awful establishment. I recommend to use one of the many other stores available which provide at least decent service. When I placed an order with them online, my order confirmation at the time was fine, but they ended up doubling the order (no I did not click send twice, I've been ordering online for 14 years and never had an ordering problem). The associates I spoke with were quite rude and unhelpful, and of course blamed me and even hung up on me; management did not contact me after I was promised they would (I also e-mailed multiple people in the company without a single response). Now I am stuck with a doubled order (FedEX left it all in front of my door without a signature), and at this point I guess all I can do is dispute the charge with AMEX. Also, I just bought a $300 bookcase from Amazon instead of using ATG stores, so congratulations on the lost business ATG! I also need to buy a bed, bed-stands, secretary's desk, and some other furniture, all of which I will not be buying with ATG of course (fool me once and all). As you can tell, I am quite fed up with them at this point, and only want to waste my time now on buyer beware reviews (yes, I have a vendetta now). Anyway, I hope this review causes possible ATG customers hesitation before ordering with this company... Do not make my mistake!

After waiting 2 weeks for my patio table to ship and countless calls to ATG, I cancelled my order when they said the table would be sent out on Monday not today even though when I called the manufacturer they said it was ready to ship waiting for ATG to be picked up by their carrier! Just wondering if I should be worried about getting my refund or if I should call me bank and start a claim now since ATG said it would take 5 days to credit my acct? Wish I had researched this $#*!ty company before I ordered a $250 table :( Lesson learned!

Placed an order for a light and the money was immediately removed from my account. 8 days later my order status was still "order placed." went on live chat with first "scott" then "jen" and no response. Called the toll free number and after 20 minutes was told that the item i ordered was discontinued and it will take 10 business days to refund my money. It still hasnt been refunded!

I wanted to buy a desk and tried to use the stores advertised 110% price match guarantee since I saw it cheaper somewhere else. They wasted about 30 minutes of my time on the phone before telling me that they couldn't price match the product even though it met all of their criteria. No explanation, just said "the difference is too large" (it was about $17 less). Total waste of time. If this is any indication, their customer service is completely terrible. They don't put the customer first at all. Warning! Stay away!

DO NOT ORDER anything from this company. We ordered and paid for an outdoor dining table with four chairs. On delivery, only 2 chairs were received. After 2 weeks of hassling back and forth, ATG stores is still not able to resolve this problem and has not sent the missing 2 chairs, nor have they stated they will. I have contacted the manufacturer to see if they can help resolve this. Two weeks without a resolution is poor customer service and is proof that they do not stand behind their guarantee.

This review is for atg stores & lighting universe.

They claimed to have a "no hassle" return policy, but this was not the case. We order form atg stores, but our lights were actually sold to us by Lighting Universe and shipped from yet another store. When we received the lights, we immediately decided we didn't like them and I called Lighting Universe to see if I could return them. They said that I have to get a number from the manufacturer and ship them back myself. This perplexed me, as Lighting Universe is about 10 minutes away from my house and since they're the ones that sold me the lights, I thought I could just take them back there. Nope. I have to pay to ship them back to the manufacturer. And the manufacturer took two weeks to get me an RGA number.

I have shipped the lights back and am still awaiting my refund. If I don't receive it in the next week, I will be calling ym credit card company to handle it on my behalf. Bottom line: DO NOT USE atgstores.com!

Terrible return policy. I returned something and a month later, I still wasn't issued a credit so I called about it and they seemed to have forgotten about it altogether and said they will issue the credit in another 5 business days. The restocking fee is outrageous. Better off shopping somewhere else. The couple dollar discount is not worth the trouble should you ever change or mind or need to return for some other reason.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. I ordered a bed in Dec. For almost 2K, it came damaged to me on Jan. 5th. I was told a replacement was being ordered. It is now March 4th and I am being told too bad so sad. They will not do anything to compensate me. My headboard has a giant crack in it (not from shipping process as the box wasn't damaged at all) that runs a good 8 inches from the front of the headboard up the top and wraps around the back. I will NEVER order from them again and beg others to follow. They don't care about their customers. I attempted to call customer service and was told that I was not allowed to know the name of the manager that was looking at my account information and that he was never at his desk to speak to me.

Just DONT!
March 1, 2011

Just DONT! I have never had such bad service anywhere. My dresser arrived damaged I took pictures immediately and sent them at their request on 1/13/11. I did not hear back so called every week for 5 weeks with no resolution and a different employee every time. I doubt anyone really hangs around for long. 6 weeks later I find out they are not going to replace it because the shipping company will not pay for damages. The box it came in was not damaged, but the dresser inside the box was. STAY AWAY FROM THIS RIP-OFF!

I was so excited to find the kitchen cabinet pulls I was looking for on this website. I ordered them and they came fairly quickly. Unfortunately they did not fit the existing holes in my cabinets. The customer service department is THE WORST! It took them over 6 months to process the return and they only returned a portion of my money. I called or emailed them at least twice a week and I never got the same person twice. They say they will call you back and they don't.

What even more frustrating is that with a little more research I found the same item for half the price!

I would not recommend this site to anyone! Stay away!

Could it be any clearer?
February 17, 2011

Could it be any clearer? Don't spend your money here! This is yet another one of those online furniture "retailers" that is not an authorized dealer for ANY manufacturer, doesn't have any inventory, seems to ALWAYS ship defective or damaged goods, and does everything in their power to not return your hard earned money. Put simply: it's a scam!

Educate yourself on this "business" and while you're at it, look at two other online stores with the same reviews and same exact naming scheme: IVG Stores and RJD Stores. I was scammed previously by RJD Stores, and after a lot of hassle got my money back via PayPal and also submitted a complaint to the BBB. I should have looked at the BBB first - they had an F rating! Not to mention terrible reviews all over the web. While IVG Stores has an A+ rating at the BBB, look how many complaints they have - 217 at the time of this review! That should be an indicator to you that these generic online retailers are scammers - and the fact that they have not been taken to court or forced out of business is amazing to me.

STAY AWAY FROM ALL THESE THREE-LETTER FURNITURE STORES. Seriously. It's probably the same people running them, with fake business addresses, multiple doing-business-as names, and absolutely no ethics. If you spend money there you do it at your own risk. They will be all too happy to take your money and make it a nightmare for you to get it back - which you inevitably will need to do. Spend the extra dollars with an authorized dealer and get the peace of mind that you WILL receive the items along with great customer service.

This is THE worst website I have ever used. BUYER BEWARE! I ordered two wall sconces from here. When they arrived, they looked nothing like the picture. I called and was provided with a return number and address and was advised to track the package when I send it back. I did so - via the USPS. According to the tracking number, the package arrived back at the manufacturer three weeks ago. However, the manufacturer apparently now cannot find my package because "it must have been sent to the front desk instead of the shipping/receiving area". I have called multiple times and have spoken to multiple people who have been extremely NASTY to me. I have asked to be connected to a manager and nobody will even give me the name of a manager. I have since called my credit card company and have stopped payment of that charge. When running into issues with this company, I recommend doing the same IMMEDIATELY as it appears you will NEVER get your money back otherwise.

Ordered a light fixture from them two weeks ago for a home remodel job. The first one arrived in a box that looked to have been previously returned. Opened it anyway and sure enough the item was scratched and actually written on with a black marker. I could not believe my eyes. I immediately called ATG customer service and was hold for over 30mins. This should have been a clue... The gentlemen processed the RMA and ordered me a replacement. The replacement arrived and picked it up and heard broken glass. Did not even open it. Called them and the lady immediately had an attitude with me like it was my fault. In fact, it was suggested that I take the "good" parts and make a good one and return all the bad parts to their supplier. Meanwhile, I had paperwork on our desk from Kichler stating the problem with the original unit and must be returned as documented. "Scratched" I was floored. At this point, both fixtures are being sent back and a call to our credit card company has been made as they sent us damaged goods both times. Now, I am buying a fixture from my local distributor at a higher price and losing money on the job. Never will I buy from again and neither will any of my workers.

These guys are drop shippers you have no idea what you will get...

ATG stores are the worst! I ordered a console table from them on 11/24/10. It arrived on 12/2/10 and the top corner was damaged. It looked as though the box had been dropped on a corner. I immediately called ATG and spoke to a rep named Tabitha who was rude and told me that I would have to email her pictures of the damage. I am also told that I will have to pay a 20% re-stocking fee if I want to return the merchandise even though it was damaged! So I email her the pictures on 12/6/10 and asked her to please email me back when I can expect to receive the replacement part. I am never updated so I call cust srv the following week and am told that the information has been sent to the manu and I should expect to get the replacement the following week. That would have been the week before Christmas and still no replacement. On 12/23/10 I get a call from one of their reps asking me for the control # off the assembly instructions. I call back and give them this information and am told that the replacement could not be shipped because the manu needed the control #. They tell me that the replacement will now be shipped. I called yesterday (1/3/11) and am told that I can expect to see the replacement part on 1/5/11. Today, 1/4/11, Fed Ex knocks on my door saying they have to pick up the damaged table top. Nice of ATG to let me know. I am not sending the damaged table top back until I receive the new one. Thank goodness I paid for this using PayPal. I will be making a call to them on 1/5/11 to get my money back if the replacement part does not show up tomorrow. Do not buy anything from this company! Most of the cust srv reps are respectful, but good luck getting a replacement if the product is damaged! I will never buy anything from this company again! By the way, I also purchased the coffee table from the same series from Walmart's website because it was less expensive than ATG's price. That table arrived perfectly fine!

I purchased a $480 Bruck Lighting Systems lamp from ATG stores. The box looked undamaged, but the lamp had one tiny but important broken attachment part. I called ATG to return for replacement and was told that I have 10 days to return damaged merchandise and that because I had taken two weeks to open the box, it was not eligible for return. I called Bruck Lighting and was informed that they don't deal with end users directly and that I would have to deal with ATG stores. I explained that ATG wouldn't authorize a return and could I just buy the spare part. Bruck told me that they don't carry spare parts for their expensive lamps (because they come from Germany?!), furthermore that they don't warranty product after it has been taken out of the box, and that basically I would have to buy a new one.
