Poor Shipping

I ordered a snowboard last year and it has been delayed for nearly 5 months at this point. Really shoddy service even if the prices are good. I would be more understanding if they gave an actual accurate estimate on the delivery date but they just keep pushing it back for months at a time which I think it unacceptable.

I started receiving individual components every other month at first but the board itself has still not arrived and every time it comes to the shipping day, they just move it back another month.

I would give them 2 stars because the prices are good but their website has a page of what seem like fake reviews because as hard as I tried I couldn't find a way to actually leave one. Their A+ grade with the BB should be downgraded.

Purchased bindings from the house
Purchased bindings from the house. They broke on the first day. It has been a nightmare trying to get a refund or replacement. The manufacturer won't do it because I purchased through the house and the house wants to send me a black toe strap for white bindings. This is a nightmare, ill never buy from the house again.

Unhappy customer

Unhappy customer ordered an item that gave me an acceptable delivery date a week after they changed the shipping date and never gave me a confirmation on when it would arrive! I didn't try to contact them via the telephone and email and have been unsuccessful through both methods multiple times.

GLITCHY WEBSITE

Ya got some cool gear but ur website sucks $#*!. The amount of times the page does'nt load is gross. Checkout is even worse the whole thing glitches out makes me feel really comfortable putting personal info into that $#*!ty site (sarcasm). Did u pay a $#*!ed monkey to design your website? Rather go to zumiez any day over this ratchet website

Purchased this for my son 3 months ago, approx. 2 months in we noticed the paint was micro delaminating and surface rust (pitting) taking place. Now 3 months in to our purchase the bike is heavily pitted with rust taking away from the aesthetic of the anodized rainbow paint job. I contacted "The House" and explained the issue, an agent "Jordan" told me this was normal and anyone who knows BMX bikes recognizes this. He also stated that kids prefer this look and will purposely make it happen, its a preferred look. This is not a preferred look for us, we expected a finish paint job that would last longer than 3 months. Horrible product and worse customer service, stay away, purchase a HARO, we have one that is 10 years old and maintaining it's finish. My 13 year old saved and saved for this purchase only to be told - TOO BAD!

Good value of money.

The House is great! There are many different brands with reasonable prices to fit your budget. I purchased an Oakley snow pants couple of months ago and I am quite satisfied. I went to Ski couple of times in Winter and the quality substantiated its reputation, Also the website is easy to navigate. Order process is straightforward. Shipping updates are on time. Keep it up!

Very disappointed

Let me say this is based on the online shop I cannot say what the actual store is like and hope they are a better experience. I bought skis online with bindings for a graduation/Christmas/birthday present. I use to ski a lot but had to let that passion go due to new babies and graduate school. My wife encouraged me to buy some skis and pick up my old passion because she is awesome like that. After finding what appeared to be bindings and ski combo that looked like a steal I bought them. Big mistake. After getting skis and a mangled box of bindings I went to the shop to get them attached. The first attempt the bindings did not have brakes. The second attempt the brakes were wrong. The third attempt the bindings were incompatible. After several calls to customer service I never once got an We're sorry or let me make this right. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. I now have no skis and the season is nearly over. I have to reship the skis now and hope they are competent enough to issue a refund without issue. I cannot stress enough to never order from this company

Scam artists

Scam artists! If I could give 0 I would. Ordered a pair of snowboard goggles and they completely cracked and fell apart. Ordered a second pair and the same thing happened. Sent back the items for a refund and there was no communication for a month. I chased up and they said they can only offer a voucher.
Erika in customer service was absolutely useless.
Now will have to make a claim through PayPal or could lose over $100.
Please go to a normal shop for your items and not these online scam artists

Skis

Always reliable and excellent quality! Love my skis a lot! The performance of my two pairs of skis didn't surprise me but at the same time didn't disappoint me at all. I find it responsive and enjoyable at a moderate speed. Light and nimble, easy to turn in most spots. Thinking to step on a snowboard one day)) and definitely will buy it here!

One just went out, CYLINDER is just not working anymore
I called HOUZZ gave them the original order just to get an email telling me the warranty is out and the factory can't PROVIDE anymore.
JUST TWO PEOPLE IN MY HOUSE, me and my wife. Hardly any use, Bar Stool is NEW and now BROKE
Very POOR SVC. And VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH HOUZZ
I DO NOT RECOMMEND HOUZZ

Stay Away from this HOUZZ

ZERO STARS

I give this place a minus 5 star! I purchased my framed bike on aug 20. Was charged twice. Called and the removed one of the charges. Bike came with bent fork. Called and they sent out a new fork. They forgot to install the fork with a star nut. So they sent out a star nut and told me to get installed by a bike shop and they would refund me for that. Still no refund. Sep 23 I still have no refund for fork installation and just got charged for another bike called the company and had an extremely rude lady telling me I was never charged. 30 min later she calls me back still being rude and tells me they found where I was charged. Never one apology for any of this. The fact that my son had to wait a month to actually ride the bike he bought with his bday money, he paid $20 for fast shipping. I would not trust this company with ur card info!

Stole my snowboard

Last September I purchased a snowboard from what I thought was a reputable Minnesota Company, The House. I attempted to return the snowboard that I had already paid for in full, The House rejected the return (bummer, but whatever) -- they are now refusing to give me merchandise back and will not refund the money. So they get the cake and get to eat it too.

I called to get a return label for snowboard boots on January 26th, paid over $8 for the label. Called 2 days later because I hadn't received it, spent 15 minutes on hold. They told me the label was resent and I should see it soon. One week later, call back same story. Called back 4 MORE TIMES! Average of 18 minutes on hold each time. Was told I can just ship it myself. (after I have paid for the label!) I called back today for the 6'th time, finally they realized they were using my P. O. box as a shipping address so the label was not processed. Asked for them to refund me the shipping label because of the inconvenience, stress, headache, and abysmal customer service. Was told no, I could still get my $150.00 back but they do not offer free returns. Nearly a MONTH later! Ridicules. Horrible, I have ordered from them so many times and will never order from there again. Don't waste your time or money. Good thing I am not counting on that $150.

Worst experience ever!

The absolute WORST exeperience buying gear ever. This is my first time buying snowboarding gear from them and it's been a nightmare. I placed my order on Saturday midday for a snowboard, bindings, and boots. The confirmation email states I'll be notified within the next several hours of my order being shipped since I did two day express shipping. On Wednesday I still have no email nor have they made contact. When I call the customer service department they let me know that no one has done anything with my order and the snowboard I originally order isn't even an option. So I have to wait for a sales specialist to pick out a new board for me with which they made me pay an additional $30 for. THEN they tell me my order ships out on Wednesday. On Thursday I finally get an email that says they shipped on a part of my order out. When I called in they let me know the goggles I wanted weren't available either and that I could purchase an upgraded pair if I wanted. Now o have over $900 of pending refunds and transactions from them. This is ridiculous and by far the worst customer service ever.

Beware!

BEWARE! I received a bike from my father as a Christmas gift. Upon travel back to Portland, we realized that this was a men's frame and would be too large for me. I called "The House Outdoor Gear" and explained the situation also sharing that this was the very "FIRST" Christmas gift I have ever received from my father as we just found each other through a DNA website early in the year!

He didn't realize that this was a men's frame upon ordering. After being transferred multiple times and spending a very long time on hold I spoke to Jordan who said it was not a problem to return the bike as the holiday return policy was extended into January! I would need to pay the shipping fee for their return label and any difference in cost between the bike I received as a gift and the bike I wanted to purchase.

Upon receiving the email from Jordan there was a return/exchange form but no shipping label. I called back and was directed to a different customer service representative who is NOW saying that I don't qualify for the holiday return policy because my father was an early shopper and purchased in September. How terrible! And now they will be adding on restocking fees (((if))) they make an exception and allow the return!

Are you serious!?! So I am told one thing and then another... How could you operate your company like this! Talk about NO customer service. How dare you! Especially, given the circumstances of this gift. Your company should be ashamed of yourselves.

Got fooled by a great deal... Had a patagonia jacket for 90 bucks of original price. I returned another jacket I had gotten at REI on sale since this was a bit of a better deal. I should have known to keep it! The delayed shipment on this order TWICE with poor communication. They kept saying it will be delivered soon. Then one month after it was supposed to be shipped they finally CANCELLED the order on me. I am so frustrated as I do not have a winter jacket and will have to buy one at full price because they duped me... I reached out to customer service with no reply. If they had maybe tried to make it right I would not be writing this review...
