Worest customer server ever. I contacted them a few times to issue me a refund because I had a problem with the Template and they refused to issue the refund

I bought two Prestashop themes for my project, I could not say I'm expert on linux server, but setup the server and change some code for me is easy, then I started carefully look over the installation instruction and followed it step by step, not matter how many time and thinking another way to install it, it never gonna be success.

I realized waste of time and start looking another way purchase their installation service.
Oh well, pre-sales is very kind and nice, but their installation service is suck, I guess their technical team is from 3rd Party, even their installation service also do the same what I did, Bugs, errors, CSS missing, Product page error 500 connection, just totally same as what I've done the installation, does it make sense to use their service.

My assumptions
1. Their theme develop problem, the problem come from the theme's codes.
2. They did some error codes in the theme for purpose, let you buy their installation service instead you install by yourself

Template monster froze our site and after investigating said the template was updated and we need to pay to unfreeze. We paid and after many tickets to access there was no template update. They offered unworkable workarounds and again after many tickets for customer service, and a request for refunding our money they report the tickets have expired and we need to start over. Unacceptable. We have a non-working site, no updated template, no support and we are out over $100. It's Adele's like a scam. No interest in fixing.

Creators, beware -- stay away from TemplateMonster unless you like wasting your own time. I sell over 100+ digital templates online and decided to give them a try (which was a huge mistake):

Their review process is incredibly slow, inconvenient, and arbitrary:

It takes over two weeks to receive any response after you first submit your products. The response is almost always to reject for nonsensical reasons like "wrong category'"(ie. They rejected a mockup bundle I submitted to the "Product Mockup" category saying it should go in "Graphics", which makes no sense).

Rather than simply changing the category of the existing submission, the TemplateMonster system requires that you completely re-submit products (filling out 15+ fields again) and gives you no place to copy my previous submission. This kind of UX design is blatantly disrespectful of creators' time and efforts.

When I reached out to TemplateMonster support about this onerous submission process, they responded by just confirming this was the only option:
"Unfortunately, if your products were rejected with the reason 'Resubmit the product to another category' you should upload it from scratch as there is no possible change the category. "

Rejected products show up as big red blocks that you cannot click, dismiss, or edit in your dashboard.

Don't waste your time with Template Monster; there are many far superior alternatives for online creative marketplaces.

I would literally provide 0 stars if I could.
I purchased a template, waited a week and still have got nowhere! The template was not in functional
Order and I'm expected to sit here and wait til it is and on that grounds I'm being refused by the manager for my money back. AVOID THIS WEBSITE AT ALL COSTS. Use and do yourselves a favour because the follow ups aren't as promised, the service is even worse and they're trying to argue a refund that I am 110% entitled to. Do yourselves a favour and do not get pulled in by this pathetic excuse of a company. You will regret it.

I signed up for their ONE subscription over a year ago without signing on for auto-renewal. When the subscription ended, I did not want to renew because it was a nightmare - with their sales team promising what their tech team can't deliver. However, without pre-approval, they charged my card again for another year's subscription, and refused to give me the full refund which I have been demanding for this past 3 months, despite my not having used the subscription. I have been dealing with a Daniel Dawson who claims to be the boss, but does not bother to read his e-mails carefully, but parrots the company's "no refund" policy over and over again. Pity there is no negative star rating!

SCAM. BEWARE. This is an incredibly slow, incompetent service, it took ten days and 59 emails to install 60% of the template, not a whole template. They don't care about you, they don't answer questions, responses come in 5-7 hours or more, especially avoid Tyler Lyndale - etalon of incompetence.

I purchased a template that was defective from Template Monster. I lost faith in them during the troubleshooting wherein I had to find the php error codes (I'm a tech); sent them to the guy that was troubleshooting, who promised to put them on the support ticket. He didn't do this. Asked for refund, ignored.

Disputed with Paypal, and Template Monster replied they tested the template and it worked fine on the day I initially complained. I then sent them a copy of the chat I saved of their tech trying to troubleshoot the issue, and the error code I found to show this was not true. Finally, they agreed to give me a refund after I jumped through a hoop and signed a waiver saying I would never use the template (which I wouldn't do because my customers don't like glitchy websites). They also wanted me to take down a negative review on Trust Pilot, which I had actually upgraded to 2 stars on their offer of a refund. I refused to do this as a matter of principle, as it was an honest assessment, and support of basic human rights like free speech.

So they kept my money, even though I had signed the waiver not to use the template, and they did not credit my account even. Just took the money after making me sign that I would not use the product I purchased. Paid for something, got nothing.

Despite this Paypal did not rule in my favour, and you can see why Paypal has a one star overall rating at the one review site I visited, so be warned there too. Template Monster is highly rated, but reads like they placed a lot of these themselves.

You never get your money back even if the product doesn't work. And at some point you don't get any feedback from support at all. This borders on fraud.
And negative reviews about a product are suppressed.
I can only advise anyone not to buy anything there that they haven't had a chance to try out properly.

I bought a WordPress template and didn't want to bother with the installation, so I chose to take their installation service. This was done on my own server, and even without the usual cPanel, Alex Benson did a fantastic job. He got the job done on time and met every expectation. Another great install for Template Monster!

Highly recommend. My web designer was Andrew Evans, and he did EVERYTHING that I needed for my Shopify website in less than 2 weeks! He immediately responded to my request, and anything that I did not like, he would change immediately and provide me with extra options. I will definitely use their services again and will ask for Andrew. Easy, affordable, and excellent customer service.

I purchased an adorable tempalte from template monster - the template is perfect for my business. I worked with Andrew Evans from Template Monster on the installation of my must have plugins. He went above and beyond in assisting me getting my new template up and running, showed professionalism, patience and was very personable as well. I am very grateful for his assistance and personable demeanor. If I could give him an 11, I would! Don't hesistate to purchase the extra services, they are soooo valuable and well worth it!

If someone knows how to cancel my subscription with this company please tell me. Last charge was 229.00 first I paid 164.00 for one year now they charged me 229.00 and I can not just stop that.
I paid for one year and now they believe they can charge me every year.! They are doing!

Their templates are garbage, I downloaded several templates and none of them I could use, and I use WordPress, so what happen, I have been using templates for years. What they do they make you pay extra so you can use those template's.

Maybe their templates are good, but they lie about everything. They upsold me to buy their all-in-one package to install everything. Promised 5 business days. Then after 2 weeks almost nothing happened. Then they started feeding me with standard lame 'this-is-all-due-to-covid' excuses. 2 weeks later I still have no clue what the status of the project is.

I asked for a refund, they didn't give it to me saying they wanted a second chance to do it right. Now I regret giving them the second chance, because nothing has changed.

I purchased the package that includes the theme, development and installation to upgrade my current website. Apparently, the project team does not work US hours. The back and forth email and things being lost in translation was unbearable. I had to finish the content and I ask template to publish the site. Well they published it maintenance mode and my old website and the new website went down. This impacted my business as the website was down for almost 24 hours. I tried to reach template monster customer service. What Customer service?, the voicemail is full and no one picks up. The worst company - I have lost almost $600 and I still don't have a new website. I will be reaching out to some consumer agency to report this fraud of a company.

Bad service - misleading product (not 'really' installing for Wordpress when you pay extra for it because the site content still can't be managed with Wordpress) - poor response time with the customer - ineffective at installation of site and troubleshooting - poor English ( exacerbating service problems) - poor functionality of product once installed - refusal to forward customer to a manager to solve issues.
