Guy came to install my 2 acs with basic brackets. Made up some excuses about the bracket being old even though I told him everyone in the building uses them and they were purchased last year...he had nerve to bill me 2 hours for that.I called task rabbit immediately and I sent him a message as well telling him I was going to be credited for an hour because he chose to lie about what he completed in my apt.I used them years ago but never had such a bad experience...they like to complain about things being "old" to take longer and try to bill you more and then they put in their profile " experienced tasker"...experienced scammers is more like it...plus task rabbit charges an additional fee of $24.it's not worth it.don't use them!
I hired a handyman through taskrabbit - only to be ripped off.
Taskrabbit charged me 269.43 -
Then the tasker - Daniel - charge me an additional $40 - for a total of $309.43
Plus he stole my antique floor lamp that has been in my family for generations.
Extremely bad - if your thinking of hiring anyone from this company DON'T.
TaskRabbit is a greedy scam of a Company which profits off the labor of hard working individuals by charging 20% off the top. I thought Real Estate agents were scum charging sellers 6% for doing almost near to nothing. TR beats this because they do absolutely nothing but bring two people together during survival times. I call it greed. Even credit card companies don't charge 20%!. Their motto is "Neighbors helping Neighbors" but since when do neighbors profit off other neighbors. Neighbors help each other for free and goodwill!
I got a good worked through task rabbit at what appeared to be a reasonable price. When they charged me they added a 30% commission. When you ask about their so-called "trust and support fee" they do not tell you what percentage it is. 30% is criminal. Avoid them, or be aware that they are deceptive.
TaskRabbit (mover William P) feel like this is a movers scam. They're slow unprepared, truck was too small, put my mattress on top and it was raining even though they were wrapped in plastic still had water damage, milked the clock (left to get lunch) edited their text to unsend the text that said they stopped for tacos, scratched up my property then charge extra service and insurance fees. Hire a real mover and pay for professional service
Hired TaskRabbit to clear a minor plumbing leak. Tasker made a big mistake, causing a flood in the house, damaging 100 SF of flooring. Company would accept no responsibility and even refused to refund the fees. Use this services at your own risk. They offer no guarantees, and their "Happiness Policy" is a joke. Very dissatisfied customer!
The only way this app has good reviews is they bought them. Beware of TaskRabbit. If anything happens, NO ONE will help you. Their phone doesn't not work. Their chat turns off as soon as they realize it is not an emergency. And my emails have not been answered for three days. My tasker says he has 16 years of experience with furniture assembly, but he had no idea what he was doing. He left the task unfinished, promised to come back and did not show up. He basically spent four hours damaging my furniture, which cost me $150. DO NOT use TaskRabbit if you care for your money and furniture!
Completed tasks over a week ago and still have not been paid despite client paying task rabbit for my services almost immediately after I had sent them the invoice. Also had no response to my emails. Will be cancelling account if and when I finally receive my money.
You're basically hiring a bum off the streets. Poor work ethics. No commitment to time, poor job performance. And they charge a fortune. Don't do it! Take it from someone who was burned TWICE (2 separate taskers)
Easy to use app, tasker was on time but left the job half done and I was left hanging with an incomplete task. Tasker said he'd be back to complete but never showed up. Good luck getting a hold of anyone either... you are at the mercy of email. The good news is I didn't pay either for this $#*!ty service. Called my CC company to withhold payment till task was complete. So much for the online, no referral based service industry. Give me Barney the friendly fix it guy any day...
I would not recommend this company I had a man booked in to do job on a Wednesday messaged to say he couldent do till the Friday as he had another job... came last night at 5-30 instead of 4 o'clock. Took him five and half hours to assemble one wardrobe sliding doors were not put on properly massive gaps on both ends with end strips and bits still in boxes, he left and said I would have to get someone else if I was not happy they still charged me even before asking me if I was happy with it... I'm so angry never use these again.
0 stars, After waiting several hours for the taskrabbit assembler to arrive, Raad emails me and tells me it's too far (35 minutes away) and not worth his time or gas....unbelievable! If he had of told me last week maybe I could have understood but on the morning he supposed to arrive!!... I will never use this service again.
Definitely NOT recommended. Paid for someone to destroy our home, the guy came over, said he could do the job and f***en destroyed our baseboards and paint all over our floors/windows/baseboards. I have the pictures, for safety reasons, I won't be mentioning his name. But, ppl, do your background checks on some of these workers. Thought it was a great site- bad experience!
I wonder how much money TaskRabbit is collecting from the $20 registration fees. I can just see them now when they we're all sitting around the table discussing their business plan, as they figured into their revenue all the idiots (like me) who would be STUPID enough to send in money on line with the hope of finding work.
They don't even bother to contact you back. That's all right TaskRabbit exec's it will all catch up with you. Enjoy the ride!
Quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. Tasker completely botched the task, delivered food for a dinner party cold and over an hour late, lied and blamed the restaurant. Then charged me for the extra hour they were late! I contacted their support team and requested that extra hour be refunded, when I eventually heard back from them the guy was rude and unhelpful, and refused to refund the overcharge. I've asked to speak with a manager multiple times and now they just ignore my emails. Dont ever use this company, they're horrible.
I ordered a Task Rabbit to come to my home on December 1 to do a serious cleaning of my refrigerator. I was notified that the young man I chose would be at my house between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. He never showed up!
My partner and I spent about 2 hours cleaning out all the expired food from the fridge in order to streamline his task. His failure to appear left us hanging out to dry, so to speak. I could not find a phone number for TaskRabbit to complain.
Needless to say, I am seriously disappointed and don't plan to use their services again.
Taskrabbit provided no support after sending a tasker to my home that caused incredible damage and cancelled the task while at my home to avoid payment through the app and the ability to leave a review. Absolutely do not trust their review system, they're skewed. You're just as likely to trust some random handyman on Facebook Marketplace. AVOID.
A tasker came to my home. He could not do any of the work. I was still charged. When I called task rabbit to request a refund, they said they would look into it and never did. They simply give you the run around and keep your money for an unfulfilled job. It's dishonest.
I had bad experience with Tasker Jack L. (His photo below).
I hired Tasker for furniture assembly. He was happy at the start and agree for job. He received all details about address and photos of furniture parts. Then he texted back that he need "another worker" to come with him and this test too complicated to do on his own. And he will charge me more for extra person of course.! I replied that my partner will he happy to help. After this he cancelled fast and disappeared without explanation! Total ignorance.
Problem is - you CAN NOT leave your review before task completed, that's why Taskers can tell you "$#*! off" without any consequences.
People please be careful who you hiring.
If you are a Tasker and have a sick kid, and have to cancel early more than a once or twice of times, a nameless person in Policies dep will politely fire you by email and you have no recourse. Even if you've done stellar work consistently, tough beans. Do No let TR be your only gig, bc though they have some pros, they have little understanding when it comes to such things. As they say, such conduct degrades the TR platform" and with their magic anonymous email wand the flow of jobs vanishes w no warning.
Answer: Mine responded and loved to chat. At the end, he cancelled the appointment. What a waste of time. Very disappointing.
Answer: Hi Carlos, thanks for your inquiry! When registering, a form of payment as well as bank info is required. The form of payment covers the cost of registration and the bank info is linked to your account so that you can receive payment from your Client once you begin tasking.
