Lost trust on Talbat,

Had very sad experience today, I haven't received my order but they have changed me and said order is delivered to me by his rider, not showing atleast minimum responsibilities to ensure customer values

Complete let down
November 3, 2016

Thursday night pizza order which was supposed to be 1 hour got to around 2 hours until I had to call to check up where it was. Turns out no one had seen my order. If I still wanted the pizza then I'd have to wait another 45 mins. Said I'll only have it if I don't pay. Nope. Manager says she can give a 15% discount. Who waits 3 hours for a pizza. Talabat does nothing. Claps for incompetence.

Dont order or bother speaking to the idiots to complain! Customer service is zero! Stupid robots on the phone memorizing lines to tell you after they steal your money! And the manager is a different story! He acknowledged the error in their messed up website and further more he started laughing! Bad for them i work with the press and if i dont get my money back in the 5 working days! Oh well lets just say their stupid service is gonna get the review it deserves :) simple lesson on ethics!

If you order as guest you will not be eligible for refunds they will steal you money this my experience after ordering more than 21 orders using their services 6 order without problems other 4 giving order to the wrong address 8 order waiting hours more than the estimated time and 2 orders cancelled from the delivery guys open arrival (cash payment only) and 1 order never received refund for 30 days

Worst Platform
January 17, 2022

Talabat is the worst platform that I used in ordering food. I should have known better on the first bad experience I had with them. Order has been place as shown in the website but nobody has taken further action. I waiting for more that an hour and nothing happened. Customer service will just cancel your order, ask you to re-order and that's it. They ask as if nothing happened. This happened to me 3 times! Seriously though, please close your business if you cannot cater to the needs of your customer.

We placed an order through Talabat this evening. 1.5 hours later, it had not arrived. We called the hotline 10 times over the next hour and no one answered, or they pick up and close before we speak. We then called the restaurant and were told they had not received any orders from Talabat and to call directly next time, as the "service" is very unreliable and causes the restaurants problems too. Never again! (Abu Dhabi based)

Everytime I order food from this website it takes well over an hour to be delivered and the food is frozen or soggy by the time it arrives, the customer service is absolutely terrible, their time management is even worse. When u place an order and your order has been cancelled because they do not have an item, they don't even notify you. Basically you just sit around hoping for something to arrive and it arrives in the worst format. Strongly recommend to use another online food delivery service this is by far the worst there is!

Ask yourself this. Why is there only good feedback on their app and social media pages? Because they delete it. And block you so you can't post it again. They're never on time and always blame the restaurants for their delays. I purposely placed an order and contacted the restaurant twice after placing to check. 1st after 8 minutes and they said food was ready. And again after another 10 minutes and they told me driver just walked in. When I called the driver and told him your tracker says 35 minutes and it's already 18 passed. You have 17 minutes to reach. He messages me 30 minutes later asking for location. Told him I don't want the order, and he said he had to wait 25 minutes for the restaurant to complete order. And talabat wouldn't consider my complaint and ignored me. Until I started posting comments on their social media. Pure garbage. Screenshots showing my comment not being accepted

Nightmare
February 1, 2022

Our company signed up with Talabat as a delivery partner and dealing with them was a Real Nightmare... no one to return our inquiries or attend to our concerns. After a year we opted out and didn't renew the costly contract. It's so chaotic and unorganized it puzzles me how they're still running?! We're still struggling to get our funds transferred and nobody or management who cares.

They are always lost and doesn't understand English enough, why I'm sending my location for Talabat everytime, it's already in the application setup.
The orders got late everytime because of the drivers

If TALABAT APP are making offers and flash sale, they don't have to play with the prices and make them double or even triple the original price! It's really bad and unprofessional. I hope they consider this and consider not keep doing the same! I attached pictures just to show one example ;)

While you're trying to order through there app, it will take a long time for there driver to go and sign in the restaurant, more than an hour. And another one hour to be delivered to you. Surprised what management its doing there. And I don't have a positive comment about there customer service agents, mostly unprofessional.

Terrible
May 5, 2022

My first order was cancelled and money refunded. Then I made a second one which was cancelled four hours later after waiting and I have not received my money yet. Says food was delivered. So after that one was cancelled as well, I asked for a new one which came without some of the stuff I had ordered earlier. After being on the phone with them for hours. I am wondering though, so my over 100 aed just disappeared with no delivery? And then you give me a 10 aed voucher? I know I will get my money back because I won't stop until I do but the service sucks!

The app is constantly having issues, orders are being delayed. Also, they have a rule for drivers not to knock the door. Having a baby my phone is always on silent. They cancelled my order because I didn't answer the phone call, but i was at home waiting for it. I understand many customers have frustration with ringing the bell, as I do. However, if customer don't answer the phone, knock the door gently, if no one opens, then cancel the order! You must change this rule urgently!

There is always orders late or missing is the last thing to complain for me.
Customer service is disaster to handle the cases. Rather than being helpful they are making the issues bigger and bigger. They are just keep saying refund or voucher and they don't care about customer experience.
Unfortunately there is not that much option in UAE.

Worst service ever
October 4, 2015

Honestly the worst experience ever. The food was late by double the time promised by them. The app kept sending me notifications that the restaurant will contact me (it didn't). Moreover, I tried talking to a customer service agent through the live chat but it did not allow me! When I tried calling the hotline it said that all agents are busy with other customers and that I should try the live chat... seriously! This is in the UAE.

They need to take care of their staff! Provide them with cars! Or limit their working hours during hot weather! Or force the restaurants to allow them to wait indoors! Its so heart breaking to see them working during hot weather and waiting outdoor under sunlight with no shield! I cant believe it we are in 2021 and yet still people are being treated like slaves!

Every time we order, we add in the "Request" column to bring change to a particular bill, and every time this sour faced delivery person of Hot Pot would ask "no small bill?" and would insist to give him a small bill. The request is even printed on the receipt!

These delivery restaurants should make it a standard to give their delivery people "funds" for possible need for change or better yet, read the Request column properly. We will not request for change if we have the exact amount available. Yesterday was the worst, he complained that his other customers would just give him the change! We really like the food from Hot Pot, but if this attitude and inefficiency continue, who would like to patronise them more. Please remind them to do what is right and send polite delivery people.

The skewed rating system used by the app results in inaccurate and biased ratings. Poor ratings are assigned a "Good" ranking because this the lowest allowable rating available to the customer. It is often laughable to read a rating ranked "Good" which is then accompanied by an extremely scathing review of said"Good" restaurant by a customer narrating their horrible experience. This is the first establishment I have ever encountered that disguises authentic reviews with a deceitful rating and ranking system. "Good" should not be synonymous with "awful". Orders are always late. Restaurants blame the drivers. Drivers blame the restaurants and the customer's order is left hanging in the balance. Food arrives cold. Customer complains. Complaint team expresses regret over the customer's experience without offering any tangible resolution - rinse, repeat

Insect in the food

I placed an order with Talabat for 3 kids meal, once opened there was insect inside, complained to Talabat and they informed that Zaatar w Zeit will contact me to resolve the issue which never happened, I m a regular client in this branch bt will never ever eat there and will make sure none of my family or frds will do, hygiene is the first and most important and they failed 👎🏻
