We have used Talibat on several occasions. The vast majority were either not delivered or delivered so late that they were sent back as cold and inedible.
On one occasion the item delivered by Pizza Hut did not arrive but was shown as delivered. They swore blind that it had been delivered. Eventually, after investigation, they admitted it had not been delivered. Clearly the item was taken by the delivery driver for personal use, and not for the first time no doubt. Perhaps Talibat translated into English means "thieves"!
However, the biggest issue is the lack of "customer service" and we use the word service very loosely! Their constant sarcastic and meaningless apologies and fake promises to resolve any problems are contemptible at best and fraudulent at worst.
In trying to recover our money we eventually revceived an online message saying it would be returned within 5-7 working day. That time scale elapsed and no sign of any refund. When we complained they changed their mind and said the refund can only be used in the App.
There followed a series of nearly 50 emails in a 36 hour period featuring the following low IQ buffoons – some even had more than one attempt – none of which was capable of solving the problem -

Every single email was virtually identical featuring well know repetitive phrases such as -
"Please accept our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience"
"Thank you for sharing your details regarding what happened, we never want you to experience such inconvenience when using our service."
"Again, we sincerely apologize for this experience"
"We're very sad to know that we didn't manage to deliver a satisfactory service to you."
These 70 odd words appear over 2000 times!
Frankly we will never get out money back but we don't care. Its not about the money – we leave bigger tips at restaurants – it's about the principal of unscrupulous vagabonds thieving their ay through life.
Our review is here to help others. If just one person decides not to give free food to a delivery driver or a cent to Talibat then it will have been worth the time and effort.

What i went through with talabat in the past 5 months - around 20 cases and none of them resolved
1. Sexual harassment from delivery men, who tried to enter my house - twice.
2. Sending spoiled products, and when i ask for exchange or refund, it is being refused or simply ignored - many times, like every second order has wrong or spoiled items. Customer support promises to fix it but in reality i end up keeping and throwing the spoiled items.
3. Packaging - they send me items for food & cleaning in the same bag. Cheese, eggs & fruits in plastic bag with Clorox or washing gel or fish, then all the items smell or get spoiled because of broken or leaking bottles. Aren't there quality control for such services?
4. They ignore all the complains, when i reach out, never compensate or exchange the items. It's super hard to communicate with the customer support because they are incapable of resolving, and they have to create case. I have reached few times to the management team for customer support and it even worse - either they just reject the idea of something going wrong or they promise to resolve it and then never get back. Last my order i have reached to them repeatedly because all my order was spoiled with Clorox on food, it was the same response - we are here to serve you and will fix this, never it was fixed.
5. When speaking on the phone with the management team of customer support, they act really weird, close the phone when hear me speak English and don't call back, once i begin to explain what happens they speak in the same time with me to express their ideas - interrupting disrespectfully or they act carelessly saying that it's their policy to take 10days to review the complain (about exchange of expired items! How is that?)
6. The items in some of restaurants have higher price in talabat - doubled. When i spoke of it to the lady from management team, she refused that such thing exists without even checking it, she refused to check it even and it was never changed, so i had to make order from the restaurant with double less prices than written on talabat.
7. Delays in delivery, wrong estimated time and so on - these are minor issues which happening daily.
Many of these things are illegal, how such company is still existing? I feel super frustrated...
Do you know anyway to get my rights with them?
Is there any other similar app that i could use instead of talabat for quick market delivery?
On 05/08/2021 I have placed McDonald's order for delivery through Talabat. As shown in the "order summary" I have placed an order for Large Chicken Mac Meal (Without Lettuce, Without Mayonnaise, Without American Cheese). Basically, a plain sandwich for my 10 year old son. When I received the delivery, the bag was sealed having the delivery receipt on the outside mentioning the same order details as shown on my Talabat order. When my son opened the order to enjoy his meal he found a SPICY Grand Chicken Sandwich with extra Jalapeños and all add ons. I have called Talabat and informed them that I received a wrong order and send them the photo of the sandwich pack + the receipt on the sandwich packaging (which has all the details of the sandwich). At 1:30am I received a call back from Talabat Customer Service informing me that they also need a photo of the INGREDIENTS INSIDE THE SANDWICH! I informed the customer service that is the most ridiculous request I have ever received. You are calling me 1:30am asking for photo of the INGREDIENTS! Though I have went an extra mile and provided a photo of what I received. Any reputable delivery company that has the bare minimum standards will apologise for this and have the meal replaced (which costs AED 32/-). However, I was shocked when the customer service informed me that they will not be able to replace without photo of the INGREDIENTS. I informed him how about also sending someone to taste the sandwich and check whether it is spicy or not! If there is a minus rating I would have given for this review but unfortunately "0" is the minimum. Not for the meal that was wasted or the value of the meal but for the type of response you get from these companies and how they respond back to customers. Such companies should not be allowed to operate without having minimum standards for consumer rights, supervision and customer satisfaction.
We like to refer to our Thursday nights as "Talabat Night". We have been ordering through the Talabat platform since it was established years ago. With years of service, you would think that a company that has been in operation for as long as Talabat has, would learn from its mistakes and make an effort to improve.
Sadly, this is not the case and we have fallen victim to mishap after mishap with this sorry excuse of a company. The repeated mistakes are sometimes blunders that can be excused but the recurring incompetence demonstrated by Talabat Go and the Talabat customer service team as a whole is an issue that needs to be addressed.
The restaurant should be held liable when an error is committed on their part. However, as soon as that order is out the door and in the hands of a Talabat Go driver, the responsibility of getting that order delivered on time and in a presentable/edible state rests with the driver.
My order arrived tonight almost 2 hours after placing it through the Talabat platform. I followed up continuously with several different customer service representatives and was fed excuse after excuse as to why the order was late from "there's a lot of traffic" to "the driver is lost" to "the driver is just outside!".
I should not have been surprised when the driver finally did arrive almost 2 hours later and handed me an open, unstapled, damp bag with its contents strewn throughout. Needless to say, the food was cold.
The worst part, however, was spotting the delivery man slip his hand into the already open bag of food and help himself to some of my fries as he made his way down the corridor to my door. I handed the disheveled bag back to the driver and thanked him for coming out. I hope he enjoyed my dinner.
At this point, I got right back on the phone to Talabat yet again to explain to probably the sixth customer service agent I had spoken to today that my order was delivered late, was not packaged properly, was cold and was being eaten by my driver!
Talabat customer service agents are quick to throw out lines like "I am so sorry" or "I understand", but they are just useless words that carry little substance if nothing is done to rectify these errors that occur almost every single time I order food through their platform.
The best part was when I got a call from a Talabat agent only minutes after filing a complaint with a previous agent, to let me know that my order that I placed over 2 hours ago is now on its way!
Please do yourself a favor and order directly from the restaurant rather than putting yourself through the misery of having Talabat coordinate your order. By the time your food arrives (should you be fortunate enough to receive your order in full and not a half eaten moist bag of food), you will have already lost your appetite from having to follow up and deal with incompetent customer service agents. Following my horrible experience, I ask that you please do not accept any food delivered by Talabat Go unless it is properly packaged and sealed. Otherwise, prying hands may just treat themselves to your bag of food as if it were an invite to an open buffet
