False advertising

If I could give swell.com 0 stars I wouldn't hesitate to. I placed an order, received a confirmation email, tracking number and my account was charged for the product plus shipping. Days went by and the package still had not been shipped. When I contacted customer service they said that the item was out of stock. THEN WHY POST IT ON YOUR SITE?! That is false advertising because they don't have their inventory updated. With technology the way it is, please tell me how you can not know numbers on your inventory. Sending customers confirmation emails and charging their accounts for products you promised and you are advertising and then don't intend to sell is down right stupid. Get it together. Will be making sure the many friends of mine that recommended me to this site also never shop at swell.com ever again just like me.

I keep giving this site a chance because they have a variety of bathing suits but every single time there's a mishap. First, I ordered 2 separate bathing suits a day apart. I didn't like either of them. So I returned them in 1 package with both packing slips like I do every other company. I only received a refund 2 weeks later for 1 item. Also, when you order something you get a free shipping code on your packing slip for the next purchase - doesn't work. Then I ordered another bathing suit and it took an extra 4 days to arrive because it was sent to Utah instead of Arizona for God knows what. I'm officially done with this place. They seem to be very unorganized and a lot of mistakes happen.

After I submitted a customer service request they did respond in a timely manner and they did refund the 2nd item in the package without fuss or pretending to make an exception. I appreciate that kind of service and will give Swell another chance.

Stole my money - Ordered a dress that never arrived, I have sent 20 emails over five months requesting a refund and they have either ignored the email or said 'just wait it will arrive' - obviously it never did. DO NOT BUY FROM SWELLSHE

I placed three different orders, the first two orders arrived three weeks later after many phone calls to UPS and swell. I guess they don't deliver to P. O Boxes but it won't tell you when you place the order, or follow up. Such hassle! The third order, a month later come to find out it was returned to the warehouse, again, no communication from costumer service to tell me there was an issue with the address. I have to call, ask for it to be sent back (at this point my daughter is not getting the clothes for christmas, but i still want it delivered. The person tells me he's going to send a note to the warehouse manager and for me to call back and check the status) a couple minutes later, I get an email saying I'm just getting a refund! Which is not what I wanted. Ugh! Terrible experience with swell and their costumer service. (being nice here)

Update: After providing a copy of the receipt as proof of purchase and being promised a full refund Swell have issued me with a credit note for the sum of $14.28 the last listed price of the item, leaving me $33.32 out of pocket. I again advise others to avoid this company.

I returned the Billabong Dreamy Skies Dress which was purchased online. I enclosed a copy of the receipt as proof of purchase. This item had not been worn: I packed it away for my summer vacation and on taking it out to wear I noticed there was a thumb sized hole in the material at the top of the back of the dress. I was thoroughly disappointed as I loved this item and I certainly would not have expected this from a company such as Billabong.

I contacted Swell on the 26th July 2016; a copy of the correspondence attached to enquire how I returned the item for further inspection but you they failed to respond so I took the decision to return it back to them

I then received an email from a member of staff name of Tatiana confirming I would receive a refund but even though I have email confirmation of this it has now been retracted. I am now going to escalate this matter to the Better Business Bureau. I advise others to avoid this company.

This site has everything- awesome, quality gear and the sickest threads for dudes and chicks! They've got new stuff on sale practically every day for anyone whose not trying to break the bank and regardless the regular threads they have aren't even that pricey either. Super sweet site for anyone looking for pretty much anything! Any surfers, beach bums, or anyone definitely should check it out!

One Swell Website!

I've placed at least 10 orders from Swell in the past and have had nothing but good experiences doing so. Their prices on clothing is nearly unbeatable and they constantly have great sales going. I often times end up purchasing alot more clothing than I intended to buy when I started shopping because of ridiculous sale prices. I did have to return 2 items back in January and the return process was a little slow but I did get my refund about 2 weeks after I shipped the items back.

I had fantastic customer service! Sam the surf specialist helped me out greatly on deciding on what surf board to get as a beginner but still be able to keep and hold on to when I get better and swell runs great promotions! Like with my cart i was able to put in a promotional code that gave me a portable shower to rinse off at my car after the beach I had nothing but a great experience with this website so I'd personally like to say thanks to both Sam and Swell!

I was in a bind for a trip to Mexico and needed some swim shorts and all the beach things one would need to start the summer early. I paid for next day shipping because I only had four days before my flight. FedEx said the package was delivered Monday morning, but I never received it. Tuesday, one day prior to my flight, I'm talking with Swell Customer Service rep Philip, and he says while there is a FedEx protocol they have to follow in order to do a refund that would take 5 days, if I wanted to repurchase in the meantime, he would over night it to me free of charge.

In a nutshell, I got my second shipment of beach gear a few hours before I had to leave for the airport instead of being without it all. It was costly to over night it, and Swell ate the cost to help me out.

Customer Service Wins
October 6, 2015

Over the weekend I placed an order for next business day delivery. I chose to pay extra for fast delivery because I needed a couple of the items before my girls trip this week. As soon as I placed the order online I realized that somehow the city and zip were incorrect. I went back to my account on the website to try to fix it for the shipment but only had the option to fix it for future deliveries. The support line was closed for the weekend so I waited to get help on Monday.

First thing Monday I opened up chat support with Julie to see if she could help me out. The first response was that they fixed my shipping address but that because of this my order would be delayed y one day. I asked Julie if there was anything else they could do. She went above and beyond to do just that and ended up getting my order shipped out that day and it looks like I'll be getting it on time! Thank you so much and I can't wait to get my new goodies for this trip.

Had a very poor experience with their customer service today. I had placed an order and one of the items in the order was cancelled, which they never even notified me about. When I contacted them asking why it was cancelled they said it had been out of stock. I asked if I could order it in a different size, they said it was completely out of stock. When I looked on the site, it was still in stock in all sizes except the one I ordered. The representative then told me he didn't realize that and that I could re-order in a different size. However, he said there was possible way he could honor a price adjustment for the price I originally ordered it at (got it on a 50% off deal) and they could not waive a shipping fee on it either (the order I placed it with was of great value so it qualified for free shipping). This was absolutely of zero error on my part and a shame that they won't honor a price adjustment when the error was on their behalf.

"Worst customer service and worst company EVER. I ordered a pair of shoes, they were the wrong size. When I tried to return them, they wouldn't accept them because of a "damaged shoe box"! What a pathetic excuse to keep my money. So now I not only paid for the shoe, the shipping, the return shipping, but the shipping back to me since they would otherwise discard it, hence taking both my shoes and my money! Customer service was unhelpful, basically kept saying it was my fault! Never shopping there again! "

DO not trust this company

I ordered two swimsuits and unfortunately, had to return them both because they didn't fit. I was only refunded for one suit and was told to "check my car" for the other. Someone in their processing department is stealing because there were two suits in my package! I will never return to Swell.com again and wouldn't recommend it to others, either!

I love the bohemian styles they offer and there is a lot 100%cotton. Great deals and shipping is always timely. You can build a wish list which i love so i can think about purchases for awhile and also watch for a sale price

I could write a book but simply put I am waiting almost a month for a shipment. Called many times. No one calls you back, no one emails you back. Two reps extremely rude and unprofessional. Phillip (supervisor!?) Andrea. Package has been lost, found, lost, found. I asked for a reshipment or a refund. Now I have to wait until Friday? ANY other company would have sent a new shipment and in good faith after years of being excellent customer knew that if the original shipment came I would send it back. I will NEVER order from them again, the CO has been contacted, and I am waiting to hear from them as well. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever dealt with.

Bought a pair of Van's sneakers for men and received a pair for a small child. Took over 2 weeks to receive them after ordering so if I pay costs to return them and wait for another pair to be shipped I'll get to wear them next year. Great, what a jerk off company.
