DO NOT order from this website! I ordered a pair of boots over 2 weeks ago and they have STILL not arrived. I was never emailed a tracking number so I have had to call Swell multiple times to track my package. Each time, they have told me "it is still in transit" and given me a different delivery day. I can't believe I paid $5 for shipping to take 2 WEEKS. This company is absolutely ridiculous and I do NOT recommend them at all. I wish I could give negative stars.
Ordered some clothes and had them delivered on my door 52 hours later in OSLO, Norway! Everything was as expected. Really satisfied with this purchase!
I was givin a confirmation of purchase for a memorial day sale. And they canceled it behind my back with no notice because they didn want to honor the sale. The sale was 40% off sale items. I purchased 2 items and got canceled and they wanted to give me 30% off next purchase as a consolation... math does not add up not even close. What kind of company does a memorial day sale in honor of veterans and people who gave their lives to this country and then does really want have a sale but exploit memorial day as a shopping holiday to make money off people who make this country great. They completely ruined my internet shopping experience. I will never recommend them to anyone at all. Mainly because this not the first time I had problems with them. I have pics and confirmations to prove all. They make tons of money preying on hard working americans. What a shameful company... good luck to those who disreguard this complaint..
After Reading The Abundance Of Bad Reviews For this Website, I Second Guessed myself when wanting to Purchase A Swimsuit Top that I really Wanted from here BC of the better price but then I thought about it for a couple Days and decided for the first time to Try it Anyway knowing that it would be my fault if something happened. I''m So glad I went with with my gut instinct and didn't let the reviews sway me BC everything Went GREAT! Shipping, Size, Price and most of all the FIT Was Perfect! Don't believe everything you read.
I ordered a surf board as a birthday gift for our son who lives in a different state. I ordered it hoping to have it arrive just before his bd. Nothing. I had gotten a confirmation email that stated I would receive another when it was shipped. I waited 2 full weeks and called Swell. My order had been thrown out as a fraudulent order! The explanation was something about a different IP address. Like most people I frequently order things on my credit card and have them shipped to other people across the country. I was told I did not get a follow up email to say the order had been thrown out b/c those emails were auto-generated. What? I pressed for a better explanation and none was forthcoming. I was told I would have to go back on line, reorder the surf board and then call or email with the NEW order # so it would not once again be thrown out as fraudulent! They would not take the info and handle it for me on the phone b/c it was a recorded line. The surf board was almost $50 more the 2nd time I ordered it and they did "refund" me the difference. I hope. The 1st person I spoke with apologized. The 2nd person was as lackadaisical as I've heard. I am still baffled how a company that handles world wide orders can't handle a different billing and shipping address! They had the form for that when paying but obviously you won't get past receiving a confirmation email saying your order is soon to be shipped. If you want repeat business give the customer a call or at the very least an email if your computer decides the order is fraudulent! Maybe I should've rated them 1 star but I guess it could've been worse. Not sure how as far as customer service however. And we haven't completed the process yet. We shall see if the 'refund' is made and the board actually arrives this time.
Got a dress and shirt for 40% off their original price. Both from great brands, Roxy and Rip Curl. Ordered on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and got them on Thursday. From CA to NC. Awesome!
NceCan't seem to usethis website at all. Don't have time to wait and figure it out. Very frustrating experience
I had a great experience at swell and if you like good people and good cannabis then swell is the place for you.
Swell.com looks great and appears to have some good savings but the customer service is dodgy-i placed an order only to be emailed a day later saying they couldn't supply half of my order to australia due to recently changed legislation and they listed all the brands that were unavailable for australian residents- this turned out to be almost half of their site content. I selected some alternative items and emailed them back, and waited for mynorder to arrive. Two weeks later I was still waiting and hadn't heard anything so I followed up with their customer support, only to find that my order had been cancelled because they didn't have the correct email address or credit card number. It all sounded dodgy as they had contacted me via
Email already, and the payment was confirmed- if id made a mistake the payment wouldn't has said processed... basically if they don't want to ship internationally just say so... don't make it a headache filled with unconvincing lies... not worth the hassle when there are sites like pacsun.com and surf fanatics that have awesome international customer service and capped shipping!
I bought a pair of fringed sandals from their web-site. I didn't really like how they looked on me and didn't like the shade of brown. I was expecting a camel brown and they were kind of orange-y. I sent them back within a week or so of purchase, packaging them in the original tissue and shoe box. The box was quite sturdy but I placed tape around the ends, to prevent crushing in transit. A couple of days later, I got an email stating that they couldn't accept my return because the box was "missing/damaged." Perplexed, I called the customer service number where I was told that the box had been damaged because of the tape and the sharpie I had used to address the box. The girl claimed that they "cannot obtain new boxes" to resell the shoes, so if the box is damaged or marked up in any way, the item is unacceptable as a return. I have never heard of such a ridiculous policy, what kind of a 3rd rate business operates this way? If they cannot slap a new label on the box, that should not be the consumer's problem. I have returned tons of merchandise, bras etc that are in flimsy, plastic wraps and you know they have to re-package them to re-sell. This just seems like a sneaky, deceptive way to get around returns.
My daughter purchased sandals and on the first wear they broke. They will not give refund or store credit. STAY AWAY.
UPDATE: Swell now has indicated I can expect to receive my original package in 2 days. Interesting how the impossible has suddenly become possible. We will see.
-----
My apartment number was left off of my recent order. I went to go track my package online, and FedEx indicated: "Incorrect address, unable to deliver - Returning package to shipper - Please contact shipper/merchant for details." I contacted Swell immediately, and they said there was NOTHING THEY COULD DO, but wait until the items were returned to their warehouse (a full week) and then send it back to me 2-day.
My Post Office understandably will only deal with the shipper, so I suggested they contact them, providing the PO phone number, since Swell is the shipper and the package is literally sitting right down the road from me. They said they could not do this (?).
So, I suggested they reissue the order and ship it to me 2-day, since it was ALREADY PAID FOR, but they said they would not do this until the items were back in their warehouse or I could pay for a SECOND full order and they would refund me when the items were received back.
From a customer standpoint, this is really frustrating to me. First of all, Swell should have been the one to catch the problem and notify me that the apartment number was missing and advise me of any delay. Secondly, they can clearly see the package never made it here, so why not reissue a new order with the verifiable assumption that the original package is on its way back. They should have that tracking information.
From a company perspective, I can respect their desire to have the original items back in-house before issuing new ones, but this is not a customer-friendly way to do business. I've already paid for the items, they can track the return package, and I've spend hundreds of dollars with them, so they can see that I'm a loyal paying customer. I'm shocked that they would not do this for me under the circumstances over which I have no control.
So, considering their unwillingness to help me and the delay it will take to get my new items (1 additional week+), I have cancelled my order and requested a full refund. I requested a notification of cancellation, but they refused to send me one until they received the items back into their warehouse. Again, why not send your loyal paying customer (in fact a customer whose credit card has already been charged for an order not received) a simple notification that what we discussed is confirmed? Really shocking customer service.
WORST COMPANY EVER. I recently ordered 2 dresses from them and had not ordered anything from them in OVER a year. After completed the order i received an email that my package had been sent to my boyfriends old address in another state. I called at 7am when swell opened the next morning and was charged ANOTHER fee to have the order correctly rerouted. I received an email from the woman i spoke with on the phone saying everything was handled and that it will still be delivered on time which was all a LIE. I was sent multiple shipping trackment numbers which i realized none work. I still have not been refunded the rerouting fee even though it was not rerouted. I was on hold with Swell for over 45 minutes and the man i spoke with would not give me his last name, and was very rude and saying that the issue was my fault. Then after he was no help and he transferred me to a voicemail I called back to try once again and I was told to RELAX. Not professional and horribly rude workers. Never want to spend another cent there. They cannot even guarantee me a refund until they pick up the package. My boyfriend moved out 9 months ago and we have no clue who lives there now. Especially since we live in TN and the package was sent to North Carolina. Awful customer service, awful company.
Don't order from this company! Don't even waste your precious time. I'm not going to waste my time explaining. I'm just here to warn you.

If you like auto return emails and no other service shop here. Worst service ever.
Completely obsessed with everything I received from swell as always.
Thank you for the stars Ashley, Stay Stoked!
Answer: They probably are authentic however like above says if they don't fit or the package gets lost they will not be helpful. Worst customer service I have dealt with in years.
Answer: I wouldn't recommend the site to anyone. Still never got refunded for my items!
Answer: Somewhere between late and never. I ordered for a trip and it arrived while I was away. I gave them over 10 days
Answer: It's a guess with no tracking or ability to communicate It's a crap shoot
Answer: Hi Tyonna, it really depends on where you live. I'm lucky - I live close and pick my orders up from the warehouse. The one time I ordered for shipment, it came promptly. In terms of sizing, you can't really blame Swell for the variance. A lot of the skate/board brands have varied sizing so it can be hard to tell. I can tell you that in general, the Swell brand itself can run small and a lot of the material is on the thin side.
SWELL has a rating of 2.6 stars from 59 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with SWELL most frequently mention customer service, credit card and tracking number. SWELL ranks 1st among Surfing sites.
Thanks for the positive review Maddie!
