First time buying a used phone and from an unknown (to me) site. Everything went as advertised. I appreciate all of the checks the swappa makes to create a satisfying experience. I would definitely use them again. I've already told others.
I had no idea this site existed until a friend told me about it and it's been a great experience for me. Although I only made one purchase, the phone I choose came quickly, as expected, and with some extra cases! On top of that, I got it at almost half the market value.
Would definitely recommend swappa to friends who are in need of a new phone.

Could not even have this Google Pixel limited edition Really Blue Pixel XL without Swappa. I'm a fan for life! Two days total time when every where else is 8 weeks! Swappa staff responded quickly when needed and process is seamless.
Purchase the new iPhone 7 plus from a recommended seller and everything was smooth as a baby's butt with the transaction. I would highly recommend buying on swappa. Never had anything go wrong on there yet with any transaction. Unlike eBay which can be problem ridden.
I've been using Swappa for about two years now. I've purchased and sold several devices through them, and the experience has been absolutely stellar. They charge a very reasonable flat fee, provide security by verifying the IMEI, ensuring the phone has no debt on it, and stay on top of the sale very well. Swappa is my go to site for buying or selling cell phones, smart watches and accessories. Much easier and better than other options.
Had ordered a new LG G5 and it was in mint condition with goodies. Cost about 60% less than the actual phone retail price. Thanks for the great customer service and awesome communication. The phone literally looks unused. Definitely worth every penny. I am a die hard Amazon customer but I haven't seen any deal like this one, sorry Amazon. Still like Amazon but will be recommending Swappa.
I like testing out new devices, or devices I've never used before. I've bought more than several mobile phones on swappa. This last purchase, I bought two separate devices from two different sellers. The phones purchased were just as described or better. They both arrived at my house in less than two days. That's not to say I expect that on every purchase (to get them within one business day shipped at my door), but out of all my purchases I have had a 5 star rating for every seller except one. Even the one seller I gave less than 5 stars with he generously made up for his mistake.
First time using the site, extremely satisfied with transaction. Easy to use interface, and excellent feedback and quality control systems ensure the sellers and devices are legitimate and as advertised. I would definitely come here first for a used phone before taking my chances on that *other* large auction site.
I haven't used swappa before, so I chose to interact with a company instead of an individual user. Had a great experience, phone came in condition promised, worked perfectly, saved me a few hundred bucks!
My phone died, and I needed a new one asap! My carrier offered me a super plan but had high prices on phones. I found Swappa, all their listings are vetted for phones that are legitimate. It's hard to trust buying a phone online from a private party, but between Swappa's due diligence and Paypal's buyer guarantees I felt protected. I was able to ask questions of the sellers myself to pick somebody who seemed honest, and ended up with a new in the box phone at a very fair price from a great seller.
I've used swappa twice to get gently used phones and have had nothing but great experiences. Both sellers were quick and prompt at shipping and I got exactly what was stated in the product description.
The Swappa checklist, ensuring that the buyer and seller both check for problems, seems to really work. Buying on other used sites and ebay I've had some bad experiences, but Swappa has been solid!

1.) Swappa staffs filter, qualify and approve device to prevent fraud sales and incorrect info at beginning 1st stage. This is a great and important procedure which e-Bay never been reached.
2.) Transaction is smooth and easy thru online.
3.) Buying protection is sincerely concerned by Swappa, and if transaction thru Paypal. (Not able to rate this performance because no case happened yet)
4.) A tight follow-up service after sales for every step.
When I know exactly what I want to buy, Swappa is helpful because they'll send alerts that a device with the exact color, GB of storage, etc., that I want has just gone on sale. The process of actually buying is fairly straightforward, but the site and app do have some bugs. Also, like any time you are buying from strangers over the Internet you have to be careful that they have a good reputation etc. But so far, all the sellers I've bought from have been really good about accurately describing the devices they're selling, including any accessories they're bundling in. Swappa is much better than say eBay about the clarity of item listings because their staff reviews each one. I've bought 3 things from the site so far and am very happy with the outcome each time. Finally, prices for most things seem a little lower than on eBay, and it's really easy to negotiate with sellers on price.
I'd heard of Swappa years ago but never really explored it until last summer when my son's Ipad stopped working and I needed to replace it on short notice. I found the best price on Swappa and even the color (black) that he wanted. It came quickly and in great condition. Since then I've purchased 2 more cell phones for myself and each time the transaction was completed quickly and to my great satisfaction. I'm sure I'll be coming back in the future!
I still am in shock about the greatness of Swappa. After having had two fraudulent buyers of my cell phone on eBay, I went online to search for alternative selling options.
The simplicity of Swappa's business model (fees instead of percentages) and reliance upon PayPal transactions won me over. The posting for my sale was reviewed by a real person who needed to put my listing in a different section. A "premium" placement only cost $5. Comments between staff, potential buyers, and me were all public in a format akin to Facebook. I highly respect such commitment to transparency.
A mere 16.5 hours later, I received an email notification that my phone had been purchased and that funds awaited me in PayPal. A separate private sales page was created so that I could communicate with my phone's buyer. Comments between he and I were also posted to Swappa, providing an added level of protection for both he and I.
I will do all I can to spread the word about Swappa.
Found exactly what I was looking for within a few minutes. Seller was quickly responsive. Had everything wrapped up a few hours later and got the device in perfect condition 2 days later. Was one of my best buying experiences ever. I am entirely sold on Swappa and will purchase from here often!
I have attempted to sell 3 items on Swappa. All very top end phones and tablets. The staff is rude when posting mint condition items. Furthermore nothing sells on this site, even when undercutting competition with below market value on mint condition phones, people still message you to get it cheaper. I'm not in the business of bartering with teenagers who can't afford the products. Save your time and go to eBay!

The inspiration for Swappa sparked when Ben had trouble finding a good source for test devices for Android development projects. Turning to eBay and Craigslist proved perilous and time-wasting for buying mobile phones. Blacklisted phones, junk devices, inefficient communication, and downright fraud plagued the antiquated marketplaces.
