It is possible to find some good deals but it looks like the prices have increased. $15-$20 for a used Gymboree dress that is only $12.00 at Gymboree.com is ridiculous and unfortunately most dresses are similarly priced. Nobody should ever pay $10.00 for a used Faded Glory dress.
It has been 3 weeks since I ordered and it is still being process, no reply from customer service or update. Ordered from Thredup last week and already received my package couple days ago, how long does it take to pack and box up couple pieces of clothing?
They used to be great. They used to let you set your prices and the fees were way lower. The mismanagement of this pathetic company started becoming clear when the fees went up, then again, and finally they took away the ability to set your own prices. I am barely getting anything back and they want to charge me to send my own property back because they changed the contract on items that were sent in prior to the change. I'm going to let them keep doing it so I can have a bigger case when I finally sue them. Anyone want to jump on? This company is garbage now. Do not send anything to them, they will mess you over! I got back $33 for items I probably paid at least four times as much for. They should be shut down for breach of contract alone. I won't be surprised when they shut down. Their management is a joke.
Swap.com has been a game-changer. Their inventory is extensive and they have good filtering options. My items have always been clean and packed nicely. My favorite part is the free returns- the process is easy and quick, I send back what I don't want, and use the store credit or Paypal cash to try again. Excellent prices too, I recommend this site whenever I can.
I just purchased a dress from Swap.com for my granddaughter to wear to my brother's wedding. This dress was absolutely beautiful- white with beading on the top and at bottom edge along with lace. This dress is in perfect condition and I know she'll love it. This was my second item from Swap and I will continue to look for more items as their quality is very good! Like I said this dress is beautiful and the price was extremely reasonable! I could not have gotten a better deal anywhere else!
I have been shopping with this site for quite awhile now... Their clothes are very affordable, and of good quality... They offer a great variety of brands with a "Great" price... If you are a shopping Diva this is the store for you, especially if you have to watch your budget. The shipping is quick and each item is packaged separately and very neatly. And unlike the area stores you can return items that doesn't fit with no charge. They completely live up to their customer satisfaction/hassle free returns. And least but not last Customer Service is a 10...
I purchased two jackets and three sweaters from Swap.com. Everything came as described super fast and the items were a great fit. I have already recommended this site to friends and I will definitely purchase again.
I love this site. I have ordered several times in the past 2 months. Great clothes, good condition and great prices. Easy returns on items that don't fit or I don't like. Return label provided. I don't mind store credit- it gives me a reason to shop some more. Great bargains and great service.
I'm an avid shopper with swap.com. But recently have noticed a big increase in the overall prices of items. 10$ and above is pretty high for items that are used and definitely not laundered. Currently looking to spend a couple 100 but waiting for prices to drop at a more reasonable price. Disappointed currently.
Swap has changed my life. Most likely, I will primarily do all of my shopping on Swap. Maybe 10% chance of another shopping method. However, it's awesome that I can submit clothing to swap and find great pieces of clothing. I have received incredible pieces and many times they are new with tags. Thank you, Swap! I'm a stroke survivor who lives on disability and you have made me look like a million bucks!
Robbers... Swap does not even review the stuff in box... I am sure they use it privately to make money. Payouts for items are foolish. 80 cents. They just charge you fees and fees and again fees.

I HATE clothes shopping for myself or my teenager. Nothing worse than having to stand there going through rack after rack trying to find something I actually like and then have to go try it on. Shopping isn't any better when it comes to my teenager. If he needs shoes, of course, he wants the name brand expensive ones. If he can't find something (in my stated price range), I want to leave the store. He wants me to at least buy him SOMETHING! So much easier to have him sit down with me and look through your website. I don't have to drive somewhere only to find they don't have something me or my son likes or can afford. Wish I would have known about your website sooner as far as the closet clean out kit and being able to sell the stuff we already have in the closet. I keep giving away clothes; some of which my son never wears! I will be cleaning our closets out again soon!
I have now tried the Swap.com valet service several times and I have to say I'm impressed! I've traded gently used clothing that my kids have outgrown for clothes they actually needed. Everything was in great condition and it was so easy. I keep getting money in my account from clothing that keeps selling little by little. I'm looking forward to packing up another box of clothing that's been outgrown so I can get my kids some nice clothes that fit them!
Like many of the other reviews, this site use to be good. Once they changed the rules the company just steals your stuff. You would be better off donating to Goodwill for a real tax deduction. If anyone has found a new upcoming store that is like the way Swap.com use to be, please post. We have stopped sending items to them and are just waiting for them to give off our items for pennies on the dollar like a auction house.
I worked at swap.com. Thought the truth should be known about what they actually do with your items sent in that are rejected. Their website states they donate them, right! They dont! They pick through them and resell them! So now their making a double profit. First off the clothes you send in and are actually accepted, then off your supposed rejects!

I've shopped (and sold) at Swap for several years now. I love being able to hunt for bargains. As each listing is priced by the person who sent the item in, the sellers have complete control of their pricing. Some are reasonable, some are not - just like at a consignment sale. And like at a kids sale, the items that are priced the best go quickly, which is why it's fun to shop frequently, as new items are added all the time. I like to search by category and then by price to see what's available, especially on the free shipping promos! I've gotten tons of books for the kids (awesome to be able to search for a favorite author), clothing for the kids and now for myself with the new women's offerings. I like it when the tops and dresses are pictured on a mannequin, it's much easier to see how they might fit. A couple of times I've ended up with an item that didn't match the quality described, but the return process is fairly painless and I was always refunded.
I was a little nervous buying used clothing on-line. But upon opening my package my fears were put at rest. I bought quite a bit of maternity and a few dresses for a couple of my girls. The clothes were individually wrapped, very clean, and neatly folded. We tried every piece on and the sizing was perfect. I checked every seam, and there were no hidden flaws. This site just made shopping for this busy mom very easy and affordable.
I hope you GOT the title! Swap.com. IS the place to shop for quality, service, AND GREAT VALUES! I've purchased a couple items that together would have cost a hundred bucks or more. My cost, less than a quarter of that! Good selection, accurate descriptions of condition, quick delivery and of course GREAT prices! But check back often because inventory changes... And Don't be a "BE-BACK" ( one who finds something he/she likes and says " I'll get it later," only to discover later that someone else has scooped it up!) Swap.com... the place where the smart shopper shops!
So excited to have found swap.com! I've saved hundreds so far and I'm just getting started. Between my teenager and my youngest son this site is perfect for my family and my wallet! Answer: I have only placed one order so far. I ordered 10 blouses. I returned 5, due to size issues. All 10 blouses were nice, but 5 did not fit quite right due to different manufacturer's. You need to get an RMA # for returns. I was promptly refunded my money for the 5 blouses. I would order again in the future. I am not aware of any return quantity restrictions. Hope this helps.
Answer: If you want to sell clothes, all the information is on their website. Basically, they get a percentage and then they pay you thru an existing PayPal account that you set up.

Answer: Same here, I sent a box in June and have received nothing nothing saying it was accepted or rejected absolutely nothing. I've sent 5 emails and nothing. I will be contacting the better business bureau as well.
Answer: I don't think so. I've sold and from my experience it varies. The things that I thought would sell first, haven't sold yet. It varies by what people are looking for at the time. I've bought all different seasons at random times. I buy by what's a great deal. When selling, group like items together. I've noticed multiple things sell first.

Answer: There's no way for them to go over prices. They have to see the items and determine from going over it, if it's acceptable, once it's accepted, then you have to determine the price you want to sell it for. You could try searching on their site for similar items and see what they are priced at. I did notice when pricing my items that I'd get a little notice with recommended prices, which was very helpful. I didn't have a good experience selling but many others have. Make sure you take pictures of your items, that's very important. I appreciated that their site is set up to allow you to take back your items if you changed your mind about selling them. I'm in the process of getting back my items. Hopefully it works out well and I get all my items back.
