This ticket cost almost 287 CAD which was not competitive at all for a student. Whereas other websites offered the same with 260 CAD. It was my first time using this service and won't use it anymore.

Everything was pretty easy and straight forward. I was also happy to see that compared to other sites ticket prices, StudentUniverse did have the cheapest for students! I will definitely use again!

I normally don't write reviews but student universe is absolutely not a trust worthy company. Yes their price might look appealing but you have to ask yourself how do they make money as a business? They are a for profit company not a charity. The answer is through withholding flight cancellation fees. By booking through student universe you lose all the privilege you get from booking with an airline directly. In my case I booked with west jet, and my flight was changed WITHOUT any notice whatsoever, on west jet website it clearly states in case of a flight change made by the airline, they will contact you with an option to either accept the change or receive a full refund. Student universe ACCEPTED the flight change without contacting me or NOTIFYING me. And when I asked student universe where my refund is at, they offered a "student universe credit", and it must be used on the exact same travel route by the exact same airline. Meaning if your original flight was supposed to travel from point A to point B, you can only use your "credit" if you travel from A to B again in the future. And if your next flight is cheaper you just lose the money difference. And don't ever buy into the whole "oh we just follow airline policy" it is straight out lies to make themselves look like they give a crap when they clearly don't. I hope nothing but the worst for this company.

Had to book a flight back to New York and needed a last minute decision made.
I booked a flight with student universe and it was cheaper than the other flights I could find to and from the same destinations. But when I checked my credit card statement I was charged an extra 30 dollars which was never shown in the invoice OR receipt. Currently am in the process of trying to get my money back.
DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM.
Ruby, did you use a promo code on your booking? With some of our promo codes the full amount of the ticket is charged to you and then the promo code amount is credited back. Alternatively, this could be a foreign transaction fee depending on where you booked from. Please let us know if it is not either of these scenarios and we will further investigate.
This was the first time I have heard of Student Universe. I compared their price vs the official airline and Student beat them by a lot. I will start looking at StudentUniverse for my future travels.
Team has been great help. Contacted me when the traveler and card holder were different. I really appreciate that they were looking out for my cousin who paid for my flight.
