Was a little sceptical at first with not receiving an immediate confirmation from my airline but it came less than 24 hours. Site is straight forward. Williams use again.
My son was doing a study abroad in England, we used student Universe twice, should have learned after the first time when cancelling within 24 hours was an act of congress, they purposefully ignore your phone calls and emails until your refund time has expired. That's the good part, my son's home college stopped the program because of the Covid-19 outbreak/pandemic and required all students to return to home immediately. I couldn't get my son's flight changed through United because I booked through Student Universe. I emailed Student Universe over a week prior to the College mandate to return home, just as a precautionary measure was going to bring my son back home early if necessary. I never received a response from customer service, but the sales and marketing junk mail flowed in like a river. After four hours of being on hold on the standard reservation line and two hours on the Premium line which I paid extra to get. All they had to say when I told them my son had to come home was too bad, your return ticket has no value, we can get you a seat for $450 in changes fees and $1500 for the fair difference. I had a pilot friend check the flight and there were 54 empty coach seats. Just trying to price gouge a college student that's stuck in another country during this terrible mess with Covid-19. Should not be allowed to sell airline tickets, should do something beneficial like go out of business. Gave one star as NO STAR wasn't an option.
Booking a trip through these incompetents has truly been a nightmare. Apparently they messed something up on my outgoing LATAM flight operated by Delta, and the online check-in confirmation code I received didn't work. I contacted Delta, who informed me that no passenger with my name is on the flight. I contacted LATAM, who informed me that the travel agency made a mistake and my information was never provided to Delta. I contacted the travel agency multiple times who informed me that they are reaching out to the airlines to correct the error. They sent me an email informing me to show up at the airport early the following day to check-in.
I did so, and of course Delta doesn't have me as a passenger on the flight. Called LATAM, who informed me that the travel agency made the error and LATAM is unable to correct it. Stood there for hours by the Delta counter like an idiot, for nothing.
There was no resolution and after I pushed for them to rebook my flight, they did... for a flight out of another airport. Wasted hours upon hours of my time, wasted my $70 in cab fare between airports and refused to cover the $150 "change fee." Rep claimed that they will be arguing for LATAM to reimburse the fee but that remains to be seen.

I would never recommend anyone to book seats and purchase tickets from this American Company called StudentUniverse. These guys show you the cheap tickets and impressed you to buy it; when you bought the ticket and feel happy that you have saved some money, then in the next phase, you will get an email that the airline has been rescheduled your flight and would straight away say that it's not our fault, the airline does change the flight. It's all pre-planned business of this company with airlines that you will change flights of any of our passengers as they are budget class tickets, so you can treat them as you like. I observed that my flights were changed regularly and said that flights had been changed by the airline, but in reality, the flights were still operating at the same time. Just imagine, you were going to utilise a cheaper ticket and thinking that you have saved some money, but you were paying more, because now the flight has been rescheduled, you are forcibly on a new booking and going to stopover in-between, that means you will have to pay extra money for a hotel, Taxi, Food and collect and rebook your luggage again. At the end of the day, if you calculate your travelling expenses, you will surprise to find that they will be far, far higher than the price of the ticket you did not buy at in the start due to the high cost and bought this cheap ticket. It's regularly happening with us, and now we strongly suggest to you guys that it's okay if you can afford this botheration but don't buy the cheaper ticket if you think that you have saved money.

I have always had trouble finding student deals as I am a non traditional student in her late twenties/early 30s. With prime student account I was able to get a good price.
This was my first time booking a flight and the way it is set up on Student Universe made the process very simple, I wasn't stressed at all. It was a great first time experience!

Cancelled my flight less than 24 hours after purchase (where I was supposed to be refunded the full amount), and they only got to my cancellation 5. DAYS. LATER. So they gave me a credit. A credit does not even include the money you spent, it just provides you with a replacement trip, no matter the price of the new flight. The flight now dropped half the price and so I basically lost half my money.
HOW, do you run a company and not respect your own policies? How do you only process a request for a cancellation 5 days later and then put it on me as a client, when I did my individual part and cancelled my trip during the allocated time in order to get a refund? It is your responsibility now as a company, to adhere to your own damn guidelines. Not to mention the phone line was backed up for 4 days. I called on a Thursday to also attempt to cancel my flight and they put my name on a list. You want to know when they got back to me? On a Monday. Not to mention that they have no problem calling customers back at the unreasonable times of 2 am and 5am.
Very extremely excessively dissatisfied with this service, I will NEVER be booking with this incompetent company ever again, and neither should you. Would give 0 stars if I could.
Oh & FYI, flighhub and kayak have better $#*!ing prices than this "Student" website bull$#*!.

I had the worst time with Studentuniverse.
I found a great price for a direct flight on united. I clicked on the flight and it loaded for a moment, then said "Sorry!" the flight wasn't available on the airline anymore. Fine. I can deal with clickbait sites giving one or two promoted prices for clicks.
I selected another united flight which was a little more expensive but still great. I went to book it but I every time I went to the payment page, it said my session was expired and I couldn't purchase the ticket. I tried reloading and using a different browser. The page would bug out even worse on safari.
So I called customer care. They asked me to verify my account by sending student documents. Fair enough. I typed up an email, the whole time the customer care rep on the other end kept confirming the details of the flight over the phone because apparently their website was facing issues. I was fine with booking it over the phone. Anything for that price. I sent them an email, then the person mentioned I needed to send MORE documents to verify that I was a student. Okay. I began to take more pictures. Halfway through, and this is at the 30 minute mark on the phone, the rep informs me that there is not, infact, a student deal on the flight I selected. He mentioned it was 300$ more expensive than the flight listed on the site. I was so done. After that, he had the audacity to ask me submit a bug report to their technical support, and to continue to find a student deal for a united flight on their site.
Never going back to this again.
