It was an easy experience booking my flight— I found it through SkyScanner and was able to book from there. Received my confirmation the next day.
I have booked with 4 days risk free booking and might have to adjust one ticket out of the two and hope to see cooperation from the team in future.
Very interesting app I always pay my tickets from here and they were cheaper. But I noticed this days the tickets became so high but I still recommend it to others.

DON'T DO IT. They WILL scam you, you WILL lose money, they WILL NOT care. I had to change my flight to include my sister who is too young (12) to add on via student Universe. They told me I could have a refund but gave me a $517.99 credit to use with American Airlines. I found a flight on AA's website that worked for us for $460.99 each and was excited when I found the same one on Student universe for the same price. I was going to call them to redeem my credit and schedule my sisters flight through AA (and call to tell them we were together)... well the lady rudely told me that flight didn't exist at Student Universe until I asked her to check again because I was LOOKING at it and had been for an hour. She then happened to find it and told me she could redeem my coupon and my remaining balance would only be $107.97? Extra money for a cheaper flight? They made me pay $625.96 for a flight that I could've purchased straight from the website ( and even American Airlines website) for $460.99! I was told that that was for new customers only... yet I could purchase it on my own for that price but they charged me $110 on top of the $517.99 that I had already paid for a cheaper flight. Way to scam a broke college kid. What a pathetic company. Imagine getting the chance to march in the Rose Bowl Parade and being miserable about it because you chose to try a student friendly booking company. With my luck, the ticket will be fake too!

Unfortunately, credits must be redeemed for the same type of ticket as was originally purchased, and not all of the fares on AA's website are available for credit purchase, which is why the fare was higher. I booked with Student Universe in January 2020 for flights in April 2020. Then Covid happened in March and I wasn't able to get a refund, just travel credits with Virgin.
When I called to use these credits, I was told that my credit was actually less than the amount I paid. Even though I have a copy of the invoice and email correspondence stating otherwise. After some to and fro, I was eventually able to get them to acknowledge the correct amount, which is more than they were willing to accept prior.
I then tried to book flights with them, but was restricted by which flights I could book. Apparently, my credits only apply to certain types of fares. The problem is, you can't tell which fares will be accepted from their website, you just have to call and pray the flights you pick will make it through their tight conditions.
The prices for each flight fluctuate depending on the person you're speaking with too. Worst of all, if I don't use all my credits on the one transaction, I forfeit the balance. I suppose Student Universe keeps the rest. I don't think I've ever experienced such bad customer service and a more painful booking experience.
